bought a new one to replace my old one and it's the same basic design, which i love. but the fabric is different: it's stiffer and crinkly , so no inobtrusively rummaging thru it

This bag is on the bigger side, I personally love it as it can fill multiple notebooks, textbooks, 15 inch laptop, wires and lunch. The materials do seem durable only time will tell. Handle is smooth and the bag stands up straight, if your looking for a backpack/rolling bag for heavy stuff this is it.

Very large for a couple of 3rd graders Lol. But they'll be able to use them for years to come. They are relieved not to have to carry all the things now required for school: Chromebook, textbooks, notebooks, pencil case, headsets, water bottles, and everything else that isn't being shared amongst students in the classroom anymore. Also perfect size for carryon luggage!

My high schooler has used it for two weeks now and it is holding up so far. When we received it one of the rivets was not attached so we are concerned that this might cause issues later. We like the compartments but wish it expanded a little more to allow more ease of taking binders in and out. We love the cover that helps protect clothes when switching from rolling to carrying.

I just started using for nursing school. The bag seems to be well made. Very comfortable to carry. Holds most everything I need. The only issue I have found so far, is if using the backpack straps the Velcro to hold up the cover panel does not hold very well, hence the four stars vs five.

This replaces an overworked one that just got worn out. I haven't had it for long -- it carries CDs etc. back and forth to my radio show, and it's heavy, thus the choice of a wheeled bag. It replaces an earlier version that I just wore out.

I've only used the backpack once so far, so it may be early for a review, but for this first use I gave the backpack 4 stars because it did what I needed it to do: stored my laptop and power cord in a waterproof padded compartment, and I put a wireless keyboard and my full medium-sized purse in the main compartment with plenty of room to spare. The wheels glide smoothly down the sidewalks of NYC, very maneuverable.
One thing I will note is that I am a petite woman at 5'2", and my first impression was that it looked like it would be gigantic if I wore it as a backpack. It's really almost like a small piece of carry-on luggage. When I had all my things in it I didn't even try to put it on my back, it definitely was too heavy for my frame to carry comfortably for a 15-block walk (it was raining, so I considered it, but it held up well and everything stayed dry).
Overall I'm pleased with the purchase and hope it holds up to extended use!

It is a great backpack build good, made study and durable. Built to last. Now I don't know if I can say the same for the handle and wheels, because just like other brands or all other brands it is the first to malfunction, break, or miss up. So I hope this brand is different and it will last a long time hoping at least 3 years or more. Also on a side note to High Sierra, for future backpacks. If they could make one where the wheels are easier to navigate. The backpack tips over for my 13 year old because he is in a rush.

My teen uses this everyday at school. The lockers at school are off limits due to Covid so he has a lot to drag around. It has held up so far. It holds a lot of weight as well.

Great rolling backpack. Durable material, good organization and pockets, solid telescoping handle. Should hold up well for our elementary school boy. Deducted a star for 1) media pouch should zip open above not below so content doesn't fall out, 2) interior frame of wheel housing takes some space away from side water bottle pockets so larger bottles are hard to fit and 3) wish it had true rollerblade wheels instead of suitcase wheels (so far they work fine, this is just personal preference). Would buy again.

I purchased this after a difficult trip carrying a backpack, when I realized that I was now old enough (66!) for a wheeled backpack. On the first trip through four airports that I used it, I was impressed with the smooth glide of the wheels. I try to walk (rather than sit) when I am in airports, and it was great to walk around with the wheeled backpack. Additionally, I had to walk and run to make a connection when a plane was late, and it was extremely easy do do so with the wheeled backpack. II am very satisfied with this for travelling. #sweepstakes

the capacity is really good and the fabric and frame are high quality and stayed in great shape over 2 years of heavy school use. after 2 years, the wheels locked up and the handle is hard to retract all the way, but it's still very usable. to start high school, i'm splurging and getting my kid a new backpack, but exactly the same one since i know it'll last for 2 full school years and 3months of summer camp. :)

I have been using this bag about a week. It's well made. I love that it stands up on it's own without tipping over. The biggest negative is the built in computer sleeve. It is huge. Computers stopped being over an 2 inches thick some time ago. Even with a large padded case my laptop has space to spare. It concerns me that my laptop is not as secure as it could be in the compartment. I take it on my fist trip this week. We shall see how it works.

I started college last year with a regular backpack, not even a laptop backpack. By December I started having problems breathing and turns out I have CHF (congestive heart failure, it's not a heart attack). I needed a laptop backpack and decided to get a rolling backpack. After searching the price and features of rolling backpacks this is the one I decided to buy. My only complaint is that sometimes the handle will get stuck on the frame, making it difficult to extend and/or put down. I extend and put the handle down a lot, as I transport it in my vehicle, so it can be a problem when it happens. Note that this doesn't happen very often.

Just got it. In two minds whether to keep it or not. I travel a lot and have two medium sized suitcases. In addition to two check-in items, I have either a dash carry on or Burton backpack with all camera and other accessories. I was hoping that this piece of luggage would merge the two carry ons.I like what this bag offers, but when I pack it and carry it as a backpack, it is uncomfortable as there's no waist harness :( for support or balance- it feels like falling over. And I have only tested it by packing cameras and notebook. If they add a waist harness as there's one on the Eagle Creek Adventure Wheeled Backpack 22", without the super high price, it would be a perfect item. I would think over it for another couple of days, and then decide whether to keep it or return.
I'd also recommend:
Burton, United Colors of Benetton, Eagle Creek

Very nice but I was expecting the model with detachable bag pack. I had one in the past. Picture is a bit deceiving.

good bag decent seams, the wheels bare watching, would prefer an inline skate wheel for durability. As for the front top pocket, DON't care for the zipper....ON THE BOTTOM. upon opening, anything within is discharged when opened.

My son just opened this for Christmas, and one of the zipper ends came off in his hand while zipping it up.
