I should have written a review on these over a year ago. THESE ARE THE BEST BOOTS I'VE EVER OWNED. I bought them originally to get me through a long trade show where I would be standing all day for five days and my goodness, were my expectations blown out of the water! These boots are soft - buttery soft. Whenever I get compliments on them, I have people touch them because you just can't tell how soft they are until you feel the smooth leather. I wear them all the time and they look just as good as they did when I first opened the box. You can wear them with jeans and a casual shirt or with a fancy lace dress. If I was forced to get rid of my boot collection (and I've got quite the collection....other Stetsons, Ariats, Luccheses, etc.) and only keep one pair, it would HANDS DOWN be these!

This is the best basic boot you can own - and can be used as a tall or short boot (see tip below). Fit: I am a size 7 1/2 - 8 wide-ish. I purchased a 7 1/2, and still wear a pair of thick athletic socks to have a snug fit. I have large calves, and the leather of these boots is so soft that it's only been a couple weeks and they are going from a more scrunched fit to less scrunched fit. The cut of the top of the boot gives you some nice leeway, and the sides of the boot forms to my calves instead of sticking out from them and giving me the triangle calf look. The leather of these boots is so soft and flexible - it actually feels like there are two very thin layers of soft leather, instead of one thick one. That means the seams are inside the layers, so you avoid those nasty ankle blisters. Tip: Because the leather is so soft, you can turn the shaft down. Because of my wide calves, I can only wear leggings inside the boot, jeans are too heavy. But the shaft of the boot can be folded half way over, and then you can wear these boots with boot cut jeans, and avoid the awkward boot outline you get from other kneed high boots. I don't know about you, but I don't have the money to buy good quality short and tall boots, so I am so happy this pair can double as both!

I LOVE my Stetsons. I have a narrow calf, so I was worried about the fit. They are a tiny bit wide but because they slouch a little it doesn't matter. The leather is SUPER SOFT and feels amazing. I wear a size 9 and because of reviews I ordered an 8.5 and they fit great. They don't have super soft cushy soles, but after you wear them a week, they feel great. I also tried on a pair of Frye Melissa Buttons because I was debating between the 2 - the Fryes were not as comfortable and the leather wasn't ANYWHERE near as thick or supple, plus the calf openings are much too wide. I love that these Stetsons are subtly western, for those days when my Corral Distressed Westerns are too much. They look great with leggings/jeans or bare legged with a dress. Because they are soft and have some slouch, they fit under boot cut jeans too. The honey color is amazing. I get lots of compliments. Definitely a Stetson girl now! (Wish Zappos would start carrying Corral as well - they are awesome for us skinny legged chicks!)

I love these boots. They were even better looking in person than I expected. The leather is incredibly soft and supple with a smooth luxurious finish. Extremely comfortable. I noticed some reviewers mentioned having to go down a size, but I wear size 9 wide (C-D) and the size 9 fit very well. The style is very nice, simple but shapely. No embellishment, just clean lines and great texture. The shape of the heel and profile of the boot is pretty, and I like the slender calf.

My first pair of western boots, absolutely positively perfect! Leather is supple, not too stiff. Fit is exactly 1/2 size smaller than normal. This was also my first Zappos experience - stellar.

Love love love these boots! I am partial to Frye, and if stetson had more styles that I liked, I would go with them over Frye! I only saw this one style that struck me as "I have to have that." I ordered the tan in a 9 and they were definitely too big. I NEVER order a size down in any brand, but these were considerably larger. The 8 1/2 is perfect. I have 13.5" calves and these fit well through the leg/calf. Not much gaping at all. These remind me very much of the Carson by Frye, but the stetson are round-toed which is a nice change from my Frye boots, which all have a more western toe. They are also cheaper than the Frye Carson. I highly recommend.

I was so excited to see my size back in stock, I ordered before I could talk myself out of it. These boots are beautiful and really comfy. The shape, style, and color can't be beat. However, the leather is VERY supple. I can tell even the lightest scratch would show up and water would wreck them. I need boots that will still look good after an outdoor music festival.

Overall I liked these boots when they arrived, but I'm going to be returning them. I ordered down a full size, and found that my narrow heel was still jumping around in the back and didn't feel secure. I also somehow missed the bright white stitching along the toe box in the photos, and when they arrived, it seemed very bright and detracted from the rest of the boot. Otherwise, the leather was nice, and the pulltabs made it easy to get them on and off.

After 1 wear, these stretched out quite a bit. Now they are too big, wish I would have downsized. Comfortable to wear, but now too big on me.

These boots are so soft, stylish, and super comfortable right out of the box (which is rare for cowboy boots). Unfortunately, I was looking for boots to actually wear for riding horses and these aren't it. The leather is super soft and supple, so it wouldn't hold up for riding. The box actually said Stetson Fashion, which I wish I would have known before I ordered them.

These boots are gorgeous! I am a 7.5/8, but only the 7.5 was in stock and sadly it did not fit. The heel is very narrow and I could only get one of the boots on. The leather is beautiful. I'm waiting for the 8 to come back in stock (soon I hope!) because these are the most beautiful boots and I want them so bad! I went with the Tan color, they look much better in person than as pictured online.

I have been a long-time Frye girl but I may be a convert. Fryes tend to fit on the narrow side for me but the Stetson 15" Rustic is a dream (could be the rounded toe box). I ordered and received my standard size 8.5 in this boot but it felt 1/2 size too large. Zappos to the rescue; I received a size 8 the next day and they are absolutely perfect! No breaking in period with this boot they are comfortable from the start. The leather is soft and supple, the shaft contours to my slim calves and they don't make me look like I have cankles! I highly recommend this boot and Zappos for their amazing customer service.
