The strap barely connects with the Velcro. It is a bit too short. The arch is at the heel. I will try a larger size.

I bought these in anticipation of walking around NYC all day for 5 days. They were perfect (albeit hot, only because temps reached 100). These shoes significantly helped with my PF. I was not in any pain any of the 5 days while in NYC. Highly recommend, assuming you don't mind the style.

I wanted something more substantial than a ballerina flat for walking in the city. These are supportive, but after an hour of wearing, they rubbed badly at the heel and at the strap. They're also slightly more bulbous than I expected them to be. I'll try to break them in and still plan on wearing them for walking.

The arch support is great like all Orthoheel shoes but there is very little cushioning in the sole. That is very painful in my plantar fasciitis heel. I had to return them.

I have a real problem with shoes because I have full orthodics that I must wear, so with that I don't have a whole lot to choose from. The problem I find with this shoe is after a couple of months the velcro wears out and the shoe loosens while walking, which at times could be dangerous. I have had to replace the velcro, which is a cost in itself, so that adds to this already expensive shoe.

The footbed in this style was not enough support and the hard rubber sole is really noisy on solid surface flooring. I will return these.

I adore these shoes, and have them in several colors. They are super light, and support my arches well - which is important because I have plantar fasciitis, so my tootsies need some serious love from my shoes. The style is super cute too. One major testament to these shoes is that I act at the Northern California Renaissance Faire. This means I am on my feet all day, running across stages and uneven terrain. Usually by the end of the day I am limping my way to a chair for the evening. With these shoes, I felt awesome at the end of every day. No sore and tender feet bottoms! On possible cons, I do find that any of the lighter colors are hard to clean, so they can get a bit dingy after a while. Also, I wear these most days, and after a year or so I find that the padding for the ball of the feet gets a little thin, so you can get a bit of an impact jolt if you aren't always light on your feet. But up until then, these are like magic shoes. And considering the price (and comparing it to other orthopedic shoes), a year plus of constant wear is a pretty darn good deal. I will definitely be buying more.

The old version of this shoe was really good. They recently redesigned slightly and are using different materials which are subpar to the old ones. The area around the toe wears really quickly because the material is cheap. I'm really sad that my favorite shoe has been ruined.

I'm a big fan of Orthaheel products, but after the recent redesign of the Arcadia mary janes, I don't think I'll be buying them again. My previous pair had a vegan suede top and patent leather strip that made them adorable, and just a little dressy. They also wore like cast iron, and even over a year of 4-5x a week wearings they are still wearable, if worn at the soles. The replacements, which have a mesh top, are not in much better shape than my old ones, despite being almost a year newer! The velcro is wearing badly (I've had to trim off a huge 'hairball' from both straps, and the velcro keeps unravelling), the mesh tops catch on the velcro of my other shoe when I cross my feet under my chair, and the mesh is tearing up because of it. I never had to worry about that with the other ones! They also squeak, loudly - my other shoes were silent.

I LOVE these shoes! I bought a pair to test out before a recent trip to Europe. The test run went so well that I bought two more pairs before the trip. I suffer from plantar fasciitis, but these shoes allowed me to walk as much as ten miles in a day with no pain! The only thing I will say is that the shoes can get hot because the canvas doesn't breathe well. Perfect for winter/fall/spring and chilly Europe, but I probably won't wear them in the summer time. I also recommend Orthaheel flip flops and sneakers.

Comfortable shoe. But very noisy. After fourth wearing, I'm embarrassed to wear the shoes unless outdoors because of the noise one shoe makes in the heel area.

Most comfortable shoes ever! And I have bad feet. Price was good too. I will be ordering more. Had to go a 1/2 size down though.

Great, comfortable shoes. A bit of a squeak in the insoles, which is unfortunate but bearable. So super supportive and comfortable that I wear them regularly. A must buy - not sexy, but super practical.

Love these shoes! I had severe back pain for several months and I work in retail wearing high-end ballerina flats on a hard wood floor for 9 hours. I wasn't sure what I was going to do. I researched online and came across this brand and these shoes have been perfect! The problem is, I've been wearing them 24/7 so I need to get another pair! I've been able to work my entire shift with no pain in my lower back and in addition, they are cute! They work well with both my uniform (a designer, black suit) as well as with workout pants or even shorts...so versatile!

This is an excellent shoe for anyone who needs arch support. Very good toe box. If the sole were thicker, this shoe would be near perfect.

I just don't care anymore about how I look in these shoes. They feel that good. I am 55 years old and how my feet feel are a great concern to me. I will no longer wear uncomfortable shoes and definitely will not wear spiked heels anymore. Even the squishy thong-type sandals are not this comfortable. This is my third pair of Orthaheels and my first Maryjane type style and they feel wonderful. I would rather wear these than go barefoot, that's how good the support feels. No leg pain. No knee pain. Thanks Orthaheel, but could you work on the styling a little bit. Maybe not so clunky would be nice...

I have very flat feet with resulting tendon problems and have worn nothing but Orthaheel shoes for about two years now. I have had very good luck with only two exceptions. The first is that the shoes are always too wide for me. I have to pick styles with adjustable straps for them to fit. Second, I have worn a pair of the Mary Janes non-stop until the stitches at the heel seam began coming apart. I loved these comfy shoes and ordered a replacement pair for vacation, only to find out the material/style has been changed. They are now made of a mesh type, more casual looking material, and they don't fit as well. By the time I reached my destination, I was very uncomfortable.. I'll be calling when I return home to see what can be done. I'll still buy Orthaheels in the future.

I love this shoe, but unfortunately I can't wear it! The first pair I ordered was a size 8, my normal size in Orthaheel shoes. It was way too big. I could stick my whole finger behind the heel. I ordered a 7.5 and it fit great except for the strap. For people whose feet swell during the day, the strap is no long enough. I can barely get the strap across my foot in the morning and by the afternoon, it starts popping off! Have to send these back. So sad!

Bought these at a local store for my 10 year old daughter. She loves them. I hate them the sole completely peeled off of the right shoe in two weeks with less than 10 wearings. Not for us!

I love these shoes in any color! Had back pain from being on feet 8-10 hours a day and now problem is resolved. Even improved my attitude. Great shoe and great brand.

Not a cure, but my feet and legs feel so much better when I wear my Arcadia Mary Janes! There is good toe space, too!

I wear a 40 Narrow in Birkenstocks and ordered a 40 in this shoe. The length is perfect. I really wish it came in narrow, though. While the Mary Jane strap helps to accommodate the extra width for me, it does cause the sides to gap a little. Regardless, I'm keeping the shoe. I have bone spurs on my big toe joint and am a candidate for joint fusion, so have problem feet. This shoe is supremely comfortable. By the end of the day I was happy I had them on, but definitely paying attention to the rubbing across the top of my toe joint. Someone with bunions might have a problem with where the top of this shoe falls. Like other posters have mentioned, it is a little hot. Funny thing is, though, I wore them without any foot covering and realized when I took them off after work that I hadn't taken out all the packing material from within the toe bed. I had to chuckle because I kept wondering why it felt like I had tissue between my toes. Maybe they'll be cooler without that extra lining. I think I'll get cotton footies for the future...that will help to absorb moisture, 'cause they're a manmade material. Overall, I do like the comfort of this shoe and will order in another color. Wish they had lighter, summer colors that didn't have the white accents that make them look too sporty for business casual. Oh, well. Finding a comfortable shoe overrides "pretty."

Love this shoe! I ordered it in tan and liked it so much, I had to have the red. Now, I believe I should treat myself to the black. Several years ago, I shattered my heel and have metal pins and plates in the heel. As a result, I think I'm a pretty good judge of comfort! Do yourself a favor and buy this shoe!

I loved my first pair. When the arch was no longer strong enough I put my orthotic in and got more mileage out of them. So I ordered a second pair. They squeaked right out of the box. Contacted Zappos and they are wonderful. Sent a second pair in exchange. That pair did not squeak right out of the box. However, now two weeks later there is a squeak to them. Very annoying. So I will keep them I guess but will not be ordering this style again. It's a shame.
