Disappointed. In six months the left shoe is missing six lugs, the right shoe is missing five, striping is falling off, and the laces are broken. I could have gotten that performance for far less.

I only ever wore them out in the snow or pouring rain. Didn't stay waterproof long and the inner liner began tearing at the heel after about 20 uses.

Just want to comment here about sizing... I wear a 9 to 9.5 in most shoes, so reading the reviews about these running small, I went with 10s. They were still too small, especially considering I'd be wearing winter socks with them, so returned them for 11s as they do not come in half sizes. 11s fit great, so I would advise ordering a full size larger than normal.

These have been great so far. Fit good, lightweight and look great. So much so my wife wanted a women's version. We finally got snow and had a chance to use them while hiking to the snowboard/sledding hills and they kept my feet warm with only a regular pair of socks! I would normally have had to wear thick socks or 2 pairs.

Great product! These things really keep my feet warm and are comfortable. I use them more as an urban hiker.

Very cool looking boot. Thick insulated and very comfortable. I wear a size 12 shoe. I ordered these in a size 12 and the boot is to small. I will need a size 13. My big toe was pressed up against the tip of the boot with my heal all the way back. I like my shoes with just a little space to wiggle my toes without touching the tip.

Baffin Zone are light wight and run true to size. These boots come in full size only so if you need a bit larger these will not work. I found them snug but with walking around the house and a half day break in they will work for me. Waterproof - these boots are. I stood in running water on a road side today with no water leaking in. Now will these be comfortable in the cold and snow? Time will tell and it will be soon here.

Nice boots. I think they run a touch small. I would of liked to have kept them but, for me, the toes were too crowded.

I have had Morton's Neuroma plus a Hammer Toe developing. All said, finding comfortable shoes is a challenge, much less boots. I've had to resort to wearing men's if I want a wide toe box. I use to wear a 7 in women's but for whatever reason am now wearing 9s (in men's too). These are a bit clunky but warm at least.

I am a 9.5 shoe size. I really dislike European sizing because the shoe fit is usually too small or too large. My toes are right against the end of the boot. Not curled but uncomfortably touching. The boot is wider than expected as well so the next size up would likely be too big.
Second pair of Baffin's I've tried so back they go....
P.S. the boot I was sent doesn't look like the one advertised on the Zappos web page. And they are Imported too (and feel cheaply made.)

Nice lightweight boot. Unfortunately the quality of construction is not up to par. After 2 New England winters the sole is separating from the boot which allows moisture to enter. Too bad they leak because they are comfortable and warm at least at first.

Had my Baffin Zones for three years and they are still as good as new. My feet are very picky and I have a really hard time finding anything on my feet that fit well and are comfortable. I have wide size 11s with a square toe box. I also like having room in my shoes rather than the super snug fit.
The Zones are SOOOOO comfortable I could literally wears these things all day and never feel the need to take them off. They are more comfortable than sneakers to be honest. And warm? Holy mackerel. I live in Ohio so its not the Hudson Bay, but we get some pretty cold winters below zero and these things keep my feet nice and toasty no matter if its wet or dry, in the snow or not. Put a pair of wool socks under these and you're good to go. And I like that there is enough room inside the boot to wear a heavier sock and still feel comfortable.
The lower and upper part of the boot is padded extremely well so there are no points that pinch or feel hard on your feet, ankles, or lower calf. I also like the rear heel area being very well reinforced so these boots are very sure-footed with tremendous stability. The tongue is super padded and comfortable with no pinching from the laces, yet the tongue is large enough to loosen wide and slip the boots on without having to struggle for 10 minutes trying to shove a square peg into a round hole. The toe box is big enough to let your toes breathe and not squish. Finally, the sole of the boot is extremely tough and rugged. Plenty of traction.
When you wear the Zones, you feel like you are wearing a high quality boot. I wouldnt choose these over a pair of Hokas to run your next marathon in, but you could put some miles on these and still have comfy feet on the pavement or in the back woods. They walk like a very large shoe and less a giant Caterpillar type boot. About the only downside is they are a tad heavy compared to regular shoes, but as far as boots, are no more or less heavy. Just part of the equation.
Again, I am so picky about shoes/boots I am nearly impossible to please. For me to even give a thumbs up on a product is rare. To write an online review about it is pretty much non-existent. They arent a cheap of tires for your feet, but your feet will thank you. Probably one of the 3-4 best pairs of shoes/boots Ive ever purchased -- alongside Adidas Sambas and Hoka Bondi 4s and Merrells for pure foot pleasure. The Zones are a 10/10. First Baffin product and I will certainly try out their other offerings.
Note: I wear a 10.5/11.0 and ordered the 11.0 and they were just right. Enough room to move around in without feeling like they were gonna fall off my feet. I would recommend ordering the 0.5 up if you are in between. You will wear heavier socks in all likelihood anyway.

Been searching awhile for a good winter hiking boot!! Tried many "good" brands. Will never buy Keens again. Garbage. Tread gone in one month. I hike about ten miles a day. Like Merrell but they don't offer many in a wide. I measure a 10 EE. I own a pair of Baffin Wolfs which I love! People kept telling me that the Baffin hikers were narrow so I was hesitant. Finally decided to try them and boy was I glad I did! Got size 10's. Fit like a glove! With my EE wide feet!! Enough room if I need to wear some heavy wool socks I can! So far hiking in the cold I haven't felt the need for anything other than normal socks. These boots seem very well made! Love the look! Awesome tread!! Can't wait to see how they do on the snow and ice?! I'm guessing they'll do well!! I'll report back after I give them a thorough test drive!! ???????? ??

These boots arrived as described. Unfortunately a size 10 was a little snug, the return process was quick and easy. Three days later I received the pair that I am now wearing. They do run small. I have been wearing them for a few weeks now and am totally satisfied with fit, look, weight, and warmth. So far this year it has only only reached the low teens, my feet are still staying warm and dry. These are great boots, GE Gastro!

These are great boots. The second time around, though. I noticed my Merrells failed in the ball area of my foot. The TPR cracked. just like my last two pairs of them.I looked for some boots that were vegan and I came across Baffin. I like my softshell jacket and thought these were cool. I like most that they do not have TPR. they also don't have leather that can shrink when you do a heavy amount of shoveling and salting, which I do for work. These boots are toasty so far. I have not had many times yet this season to test them, but today I had to break them out. They are really flexible and provide a good sense of ground feel unlike most other boots. They come up a bit higher than I am used to and I have to wrap my laces just before tying them, but that is part of the curve I need to learn. Do yourself a favor and heed the reviews that say to order a size bigger. I had to send my first pair back and Zappos had my new pair to me the next day. I am done dealing with other retailers when I need shoes. The version of the Baffin Zone I have varies slightly from the stock photo, but still looks cool. The part that looks gray is now thinner, more streamlined, and shiny black. Do not wait - get these boots!

What can you say about a boot that keeps your feet warm and feels almost broken in right out of the box? Nothing - these boots are perfect for winter wear. Keep your feet totally dry; please note they are water resistant, not waterproof; standing a stream for a minute will be fine but don't go wading in them. Baffin is a great brand! Great shoe!

I ordered these for winter hiking and biking. I got half a size larger than my summer shoes (as I usually do for boots) to accommodate thick socks. Even with socks, they are a bit larger than expected, but this lets me put on two pair of socks when needed. They are fairly warm, not at the level of snow boots, but they should be enough if you are active while wearing. I wore them in slushy conditions and they seem waterproof. Overall, I am quite pleased.

Love these boots, live in north Idaho, for warmth on the coldest days with minimal snow depth these are my first choice. They will keep your feet plenty dry and warm and are very light also. Sizes should be ordered 1/2 to 1 size larger. If I didn't live in an area that gets large snow deposits no matter the temp outside I choose these boots every time. Mountain climbing and rough terrain walking I would say not the best choice as I found the construction does not compare to a excellent quality hiking boot.

My husband seems to like these. He says they keep his feet warm and give him great traction in the snow. He is not wearing them for long periods of time and says they are comfortable once broken in.

I bought these boots to replace my very worn out Merrels. It's my first pair of boots with this brand. During the first month of wearing them, they felt very clunky, and heavy. I also noticed that the rubber grip had delaminated from the plastic sole underneath. So the grip would "wiggle" on carpet surfaces.
Another month later both insoles became unglued and would slide around making them very uncomfortable. I applied some 3M spray glue to them and re adhered them to the inside sole.
5 months after purchase the seam on the toe where it goes from plastic to soft shell (above the baffin logo) started coming apart. I don't know if this has compromised the waterproofing, but it definitely started my regretting my purchase.
6 months after purchase the rubber grip that was delaminated earlier finally ripped off while standing at my cubicle. This actaully happend about 20 miniutes ago, and prompted me to come on here and write this review.
I thought Canada would make a good boot. But it feels more like Chinese quality with a Canadian price tag
Don't buy these shoes. They look great, but they suck.
