Love these boots! Waterproof, high heel wonders - they are beautiful, stylish & comfy. Have received many compliments - wish I would have bought them sooner. Held off initially due to price, if you're on the edge go for it!

I live in Arizona and don't have many opportunities to wear boots, but when I was headed to New York For Fashion Week in February I knew I had to purchase some warm, practical, waterproof, comfortable and yet stylish footwear. My friend who lives in Philadelphia recommended this brand and I selected this pair. Thank goodness I had them! A winter storm blew in on the day of our arrival and continued throughout our stay. My flight was cancelled and I had to stay an extra night in NYC. Our hotel was directly across from Lincoln Center and I must have walked over at least 20 times. These boots were amazing. They kept my feet warm and dry and the soles prevented me from slipping on the icy sidewalks and crosswalks. When I arrived at the tents I felt tall and perfectly styled for the occasion. I wore them every day - they worked with every outfit and I am completely delighted with them.

These boots are gorgeous. I hesitated because of the high price, but am so glad I bought them. Look great with dresses or jeans, extremely comfortable!

I don't write reviews. Ever. However, for this boot I must make an exception. For the last three (3) years, I have searched for a black boot that fit well, looked good, and was comfortable. I have tried on hundreds of boots of all price ranges and couldn't find the right one. A month or so ago I had to travel for a funeral to Colorado and with snow looming in the forecast, I decided I would have to purchase some kind of boot. Based on the looks of this all-weather boot and the reviews, I ordered it. Zappos, as usual, had it on my doorstep less than 24 hours later. As soon I as put the boots on, I knew they were keepers! Their support was great! The toe wasn't too pinched. The heel was just right (not too tall, not too short). And a huge thing for me . . . the circumference and the height of the shaft was just right. I have skinny legs and never like how wide boots fit me. These were perfect with a finger width or two to spare. I usually wear an 8M and the size 8 in these boots fit very well. Just to tell you how comfortable these boots are. I wore them (brand new out of the box) for the next 48 hours. I walked all over airports, walked through cold weather, and stood for hours at funeral and visitation. No foot pain or blisters anyplace! I will definitely order more of this brand in the future! Well worth the monetary investment!

These boots are so beautiful and flattering, and the most comfortable 4 inch heels I've ever put on. Unfortunately, they weren't 3.5 inches as advertised, and just a little too tall for me to wear frequently so unfortunately, they're going back. Also, I'm a 9 in some shoes and 9.5 in others; in these, I needed a 9, so if you're between sizes I'd recommend going smaller. I'll definitely be exchanging these for another La Canadienne boot (just with a shorter heel). The comfort is amazing.

Gorgeous, comfortable, smokey suede boot! I was worried the heel would be too high for me to feel stable, but it's great...even on the subway. I love wearing with skirts - it is so sexy and hugs the leg beautifully. Don't miss out on this one!

I love the comfort and initial look of these boots...however, after less than one season of owning them, they look like garbage! You can see glue where the sole meets the boot. The suede is wearing. I take great care of my shoes - and I took extra special care of these - suede spray, storing them in their box, etc. quality is just not up to par for the price, or for Zappos. Curious if none else has had this problem.

I got this boot in the dark brown suede and I could not be happier with my purchase. I have tons of boots, even though I live in Florida and I don't get to wear them much, but these are definitely keepers! They are so classy, the suede is so soft and they feel wonderfully comfortable, despite the high heel. The quality is excellent and I love that the calf circumference is smaller than most boots, giving a nicely fitted look. I got my usual size 8 1/2 and there is room for socks. They are not cheap, but in this case you get what you pay for!

WOW. These boots rock. Stylish, comfortable, super warm, sassy. They make me want to wear skirts more often, so I can show them off and not hide them under pants. Yes, I paid big bucks for these boots. More than I have ever spent on a single pair of shoes. But I don't regret it for a minute. I've had my first pair of La Canadienne boots for almost 10 years and they are still as awesome as the day I bought them. I knew I would own these boots until....well, probably forever. So instead of having to buy a new pair of black boots every 1-2 years, I bought these and that will easily save me money in just a few years. I can't recommend this brand enough. Best. Boots. EVER.

I agree with the others about the gap at the top of the boots, but they are so gorgeous and so comfy it just doesn't matter. I work in medical sales and run around NYC all day in these things... My feet never hurt. They are also very durable, I don't worry about the elements at all. I would absolutely recommend.

Yes, these boots are expensive but if you can afford it, you should buy them. I have never, ever felt compelled to write a review on Zappos before, but these boots are so flattering, so comfortable, so stylish, and so practical all at the same time -- I just had to share! I have been emailing friends and family telling them to buy these boots. They are cushy and spongy inside, and whatever the sole/platform/heel is made of is so lightweight that these boots feel like wearing nothing. After a full day, no discomfort whatsoever. And I live in NYC where I do a lot of walking (no driving - all public transportation). They do seem pretty darn waterproof, although I have not yet worn them in a real blizzard. Note that they are warm, so when temp outside nears 50 farenheit or above, your feet will probably be hot.

Insanely comfortable - high heel, but all day wearable. I am beyond happy with these boots. Nice narrow shaft, too, if you have thinner calves/ankles.

Very cute, and very comfortable, but ultimately I decided to stick with the Kara because this one was just a little too high (a tiny bit wobbly) to be as functional/easy to wear.

Awesome boots. I have large calves and they fit good. I imagine they will enlarge a bit. Super chic. Very comfortable.

I bought the Martine, the Kara by La Canadienne, and Marissa by Frye to compare. I needed boots to wear with dresses. I ended up keeping the Kara because they are more dressy, and fit my foot/leg better, but it was a really tough decision between these and those. The Martine ended up being a little wider around the top of the boot than I wanted, making it look less dressy. I did like the higher heel of the Martine though. I also liked the sportier sole/tread on the bottom of the shoe. Both styles are extremely comfortable for heels! Maybe I'll save my money and get these in a different color to wear with jeans and leggings. Both of the La Canadiennes felt like significantly better quality than the Frye boots. My feet are a narrow size 7 and the 7 feels good, maybe a tiny bit on the wider side when wearing with tights. If you have a normal width, you'll be fine. If you have a narrow foot, think about the Kara.

These are fantastic looking boots. I love La Canadienne and am looking for higher heeled boots. I read the reviews, and Zappos got the boots right to me as usual. These boots look great on, but their leg ran a bit higher than their other boots. I am 5'4" and this boot was up to my knee. Other boots such as the Kara and a few other models run just below my knee, so just be aware this boot runs on the leg a bit longer than the others. I love the sole on this boot, and wish it were on another model. As with their other boots, these are great if you have slim calves, I am not sure if someone with thicker calfs would be comfortable in these. They look durable as all get out, but the combination of the higher heel plus higher leg section made me look a bit overdone related to what I was looking for (a good dressy version all around winter boot). If you are a taller girl or longer legged, these may be for you. I am a true 6½, but as with most of the other La Canadienne boots, I wear a 6 in these.

These boots are the best! And I absolutely love the brand La Canadienne. They really know what they are doing as far as looks, comfort and durability!

These boots are great. They are snug enough and cut the right way to show the shape of your leg but are not tight at the top. These are my first La Canadienne boots. I might buy some more.

This boot is beautiful! I'v never written a review but wanted to since the sizing was tricky for me. I'm always a size 7 and, based on the reviews, this ran true to size. However, like another reviewer, I found the toe bed to very roomy. I ordered a 6.5 just to compare and the difference was remarkable. While the toe bed had less room, the boot itself was much more narrow. I'm sending the 6.5 back and keeping my original 7. I hope this is helpful. These are too pretty and comfortable to return. I'll just be wearing with a thicker sock!

A perfect boot. True to size and exceptionally comfortable. A nice, snug fit on the leg without a gap at the top. Great gripping traction in the snow and ice with the rubber sole. The high heel and platform provide style with all the advantages of a great winter boot. After wearing it for a while I then purchased the brown.

I have a pair of La Canadiiens and LOVE them. This pair fit great and overall would be perfect, except the platform is too high and looks funny on, well -- my foot. I wear an 8.5 and I'm self conscience about my feet being big. The platform combined with the stitching horizontally makes my foot look huge. Had to send these back. Will keep looking. But, will stay with this brand.

Gorgeous boot. Sexy silhouette. And incredibly comfortable for the heel height! I usually wear a 7.5 shoe and these fit perfectly. Lots of compliments the first day I wore them.

Absolutely the sexiest most comfortable boots ZAPPOS offers... believe me I have ordered and sent back more than my share. Ladies these beauties are worth every penny. Especially safe to wear on wet surfaces. I ordered the brown pair and now I considering ordering the black. Love 'em! :)
