The shoes are awesome! Fit awesome and they kick ass in the snow and slush! I ordered these at 5:52 last night for about 1/3 less than other sites on the web. They came with free 1 day shipping and I was thinking they might send them out today. They were delivered at around 12:30 today! I couldn't believe it. Especially since they were shipped all the way from Kentucky! A little more than 18 hours and they go from being ordered, processed in their warehouse, shipped across the country and delivered to my door step in Idaho. You just don't find that kind of service anymore! I'll definitely be a return customer! Kudos to the staff at Zappos!

Logged over 20 miles so far, just completed a warrior dash they were nothing short of amazing. Going to use in tough mudder in September. Just spray and dry, just like new. Solid secure lacing system, excellent grip up and down muddy wet hills. Would buy 1/2 larger crease in toe box seems to rub. Still have many miles to test but great buy! I would buy another pair just for the colors. Super durable so far.

The shoes are great. The sizing is not. My feet vary between brands from 101/2 to 11. I bought a 11 first time of this shoes. Liked it for 2 hours and then the feet started to swell and the shoe size was tight near toes. Next, since I had already used it, I couldn't return it. I bought a size 11.5 next. Again, after a hike the same issue. Since I had used it again...I can't return. One other thing is and these shoes get really hot inside even after 30 minutes. So for ca/fl/az/nv/tx weather and might not be as suitable. To summarize shoes look great and feel great. But these basically keep getting tight for me even if I order a bigger size. Probably should buy from REI.

Bought this shoe for snow and slush running. It's comfortable, super waterproof, and provides amazing grip across all surfaces and conditions. The bright coloring is also a plus for running during the dark winter months.

This is a great waterproof trail shoe; fit is very true to size, and comfortable. I trail run in this shoe several times a week, often in wet, and humid conditions, and it performs well. So, let’s address the big issues: Waterproofing and over all weight and features. The “Climate Shield” waterproof lining is outstanding and comparable to an equivalent Gore-Tex lining. Online reviews complain that this shoe is not as cool as a mesh upper, and that is true of any waterproof liner. However, a mesh upper will admit any and all water, whereas in rain, puddles, and mud this shoe keeps your feet dry. I have dunked my feet in a running stream and my feet kept dry. It’s a trade-off. From my perspective the support and features are well balanced with the weight and scale of the shoe. There are loads of trail running shoes out there that are lighter, and this shoe can feel over-featured by comparison. One online reviewer actually refers to this shoe as, “a boot”, likely because of its robust heel control. The Speedcross 3 is not a bare-foot style shoe; it is a fully featured running shoe. The aggressive tread offers good traction on all sorts of surfaces - wet and dry - and the cushioning is very good even on exposed rock, gravel, and roads. The Ortholite insert offers good arch support, but this is a wafer thin insert. If you are planning on putting in your own orthotics, there may not be enough room in this shoe. The speed-lace system holds the shoe on very effectively, and, when tightened, really gives the feeling of wrap-around support from the shoe. One of my pet-peeves is laces that just feel like they press down on the tops of your feet, but the speed-lace distributes the tension very well around the whole foot, and the sole feels well connected to your foot. The shoe squeaks very slightly, and I think it’s from the speed-lace, but this doesn’t stop me from really enjoying this shoe. If you are considering this shoe for an ultra light hiker; I just completed a 30 mile hiking trip in Yosemite's high country, and this shoe held up exceptionally well. Due to the necessities of guiding the trip, I ended up carrying a 45lb pack, and the shoe was still comfortable and adequately supportive.

Excellent shoe for running trails, hills and muddy paths. Very light, but super strong and tons of traction. Love the quick tie shoe lace and storage. So far I think these shoes are perfect.

I bought these primarily for the lace system and that did not disappoint. They are my first pair of Salomon shoes and I am impressed by the quality and comfortable feel of the shoes. No trail running, mostly casual wear but I can tell they have great traction. The orange green colors might be a bit too neon for some.

Great for any running, road or trail. Nice grip on bottom, good traction in all conditions. Pretty good day hikers, bouldering shoes, or really anything you need. Love the quicklace system, and yes the laces do last. Great shoe!

If you run trails or in the winter, get this shoe now! It is light, fits like a glove and the traction is off the charts. My first run in these shoes was 2 miles with 2,000 vertical feet. I have slipped in other shoes especially of the way down. The Speedcross claws the trail and there is no hint that a slip is in the works. Confidence ascending and descending is sky high. Get a pair now.

Great shoe. Very comfortable. I play a lot of softball and this shoe has tons of traction on both the infield and outfield. We'll see how long the "tread" stands up, but so far so good. Super fast shipping, too!

Training for the Sylamore 50/25K Trail run in Mountain View,AR. I was looking for a winter trail shoe with aggressive treads, water repellant properties, and a comfortable shoe. I was sporting the trustworthy Brooks Cascadia, but wanted to try something new. I've only had the Speedcross 3 CS for a week and so far they're pretty bomb proof. They got pretty muddy and after a good hose down, they looked good. My feet stayed pretty dry since I used a O.R. running gator with these shoes. My toes felt almost too tight when using Thor-lo socks, but when I switched to thinner Swiftwick's, the fit was excellent!! The Clima-shield (CS) part of the shoes, I'm guessing it's like Gore-tex, helped to keep my feet not as cold as compared with the Cascadia's. The lacing system kept my feet snug my entire run and the little lace pocket was a nice way to keep the shoe "clean". I love the aggressive tread pattern. Very grippy and sure footed, just like my Cascadia's, but I think the Speedcross treads are deeper. Easy to clean the mud from the soles. Overall, I think Salomon did an excellent job designing and engineering a good winter racing shoe.

I got these for playing paintball, but they have came in handy for a bunch of other tasks. They are really cushioning and supportive. I would definitely buy again.

Love mine! Glad I made the investment - conquered the tallest peak in our area with no problem...and my feet were super happy throughout the 16-mile hike featuring plenty of running on the way back - they kept fantastic traction! After wearing all sorts of trail shoes, these are by far the best. Thanks Zappos!

I love these shoes to go hiking. I typically go at quick speeds so the support is amazing. They are very comfortable with the amount of cushion built in and the quick tie technology makes it very practical.

Awesome fit, tread is slightly more narrow than the Salomon S-Lab. Very good grip in snow & mud, loose terrain. With an enhanced orthotic added this shoe is very supportive & comfortable.

I absolutely love these shoes!! Super light, super comfortable, look great, grip amazing, best shoes I've ever had! I use Salomon snowboard boots and now all I want is Salomon shoes! I get tons of compliments! Oh, and I almost forgot, the speed lacing is fantastic! You won't be disappointed!

Wanted to put in some miles before writing a review, and, here we are. So far I've put 50+ trail miles in with these shoes and they perform as you'd expect, excellent! Great traction in the mud, wet sloping terrain, snow, steep inclines/declines, etc. The only time these shoes have been slightly sketchy was on wet wood bridges, slippery, very slippery. Otherwise these shoes absolutely rock. I will definitely buy another pair when these wear out. These shoes run true to size/foot length. Good luck all. Definitely worth the money.

This is my third pair of Speedcross shoes. First ever CS. I think they are well worth the extra money. I have run in all temperatures and never had an issue. The grip is amazing and the large and aggressive tread pattern is a bit of insurance when running on angled terrain. I have noticed that I slip far less than people that I run with. I also have very flat feet and a lot of shoes hurt. These have fantastic support and are as comfortable as fuzzy slippers. Also Zappos' support is the best in the industry!

This is one of them most comfortable athletic shoes I've ever owned. The support encases the foot, but not in a way that feels confining. Both the arch and around the heel have great support.

I climb up & down sand dunes on Lake Michigan. Year round in all weather. I can run in snow, ice and dry sand equally well. My feet stay dry buried in a foot of snow. Light weight sturdy. This is my third pair.

I wanted shoes for short runs. I am not a long distance runner. It turns out that if I could wear them with my dress suits to work I would. They provide total comfort.

This is my 3rd pair of Solomon speedcross3 that I've bought. I love them that much. According to my fitbit I average 40 miles a week with these shoes and they last about 5 to 6 months before I wear the tread down to slicks. I love the style and comfort so much I'll probably buy a fourth pair when these wear out. Different color of course.

Many great trail runners on the market, these are my favorite so far. Pros: exterior prevents water from soaking in during stream crossings. Treads provide excellent grip on steep and slippery surfaces. Cons: found these ran narrow at first, but the shoes conformed fine after a few hikes. Overall: Phenomenal shoes - perfect for trail running in muddy/wet/steep conditions in particular.
