As a minimalist shoe its an excellent option. The toe box is comfortable for wide feet/foot and toe spread. The weigh is perfect. And they look really nice with jeans and shorts.

Everyone has been raving about the trendy minimalist style shoes as of late. I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon. I know what I've been missing out on now! These are incredibly light and comfortable. My run seems springier and when lifting weights I feel more connected and stable. I love working out in these shoes! I wish I could wear them to the office.

Unbelievable shoes. Buy them 1/2 size up for barefoot...full size up with socks. It's amazing the 'insole' is relatively non-existent, yet they remain utterly comfortable given the vibram sole.

Love these shoes! I bought them mainly for the style and the minimalist design. They are incredibly comfortable, but order 1/2 larger than normal street shoe if you want to wear socks of run in these. Please keep in mind that these shoes are to be incorporated into any walk/run workout incrementally, as they do not have a great deal of padding a support that is in your average running shoe. Overall, a great looking, comfortable, minimalist shoe with an excellent grippy outsole.

Super comfy, but they are running a full size smaller. I've bought NB and I'm always a 9.5, this time I had to exchange twice until I found the sweet spot of 10.5.

Great shoe. very lightweight. Great for walking around in as well. love it. The last great shoe I had like this was back when Nike had the Presto. Would recommend this shoe to any minimalist runner hands down. Make more of these New Balance.

These New Balance minimal shoes are great! I am using them during my deployment as my Vibram Five Fingers allowed me to feel every rock on camp I stepped on, but these protect from the sharp rocks and still allow me to take advantage of semi barefoot training. They are awesome shoes!

I bought these for trail running, I find they perform very well on and off-road and on snow. Was wary of Vibram soles after a disappointing experience with the Merrell Trail Gloves (excellent shoe, absurd masochistic sole). At least here it seems that the architect who designs Vibram soles and the engineer who did the shoe at NB were talking to each other. Am not sure about long runs, but definitely recommend for short and medium runs on either pavement or trail in all weather conditions. For casual wear with thicker socks do buy a 1/2 size larger.

I got my husband these shoes because I have two pairs and love them. He was apprehensive because he thought they looked feminine, but now I cannot get him out of them. He did not really need any adjustment to running in them and he wears them all the time. He likes how light weight they feel.

These shoes are rugged, extremely light, supportive and very stylish. I love 'em. I normally wear an 11.5, but I ordered a 12 and they fit perfectly.

Great upper construction/design with a midsole profile that will take some people a while to adapt. I use these shoes both at the gym and on shorter evening runs. I'm also running the MT101s so already I had some lower leg strength built up before incorporating these shoes into my regiment. Great shipping Zappos! Without a doubt order a half-size larger

These shoes are a great alternative to 5 fingers. They have a great natural feel and are super light. I will caution though, if you plan on wearing socks, buy a size bigger than normal. These shoes are a perfect fit for no socks. I do wish that wide sizes were available in all colors and styles.

Bought these shoes for my son for Christmas and had them within a week. They fit great and were actually what was advertised. It was a great experience ordering through Zappos and I will do it again.

I just received my pair today and had to try them out. My initial thought when I first put them on was that they fit a bit snug but still comfortable and were very lightweight. I took them out on a very nice trail with terrain that included loose dirt, rocks, leaves, wooden planks, and gravel. These shoes gripped very well over all of the surfaces and kept me wanting to run faster and further! The Vbram sole provided great protection without sacrificing feel for the trail. I workout in the Five Fingers and run road with Nike Free. These shoes are in between as far as a minimalist shoe and quickly becoming my favorite. Great job, New Balance and thank you, Zappos!

Great minimalist shoe. I've used them at Crossfit a few times and they have held up well.

Just. Great. Shoes. They definitely run a half size too small, and are fairly narrow. But the end product it totally worth it!

Seems to be a great shoe. Very light but has good toe and heel protection for off road running. Sole has just enough traction without losing the feel of a low profile shoe. Sized as expected.

This is a great minimalist shoe. The zero drop combined with a durable Vibram sole and a great fit (with our without socks) make this shoe one of the best out there. You'll love this shoe!

This is a minimalist shoe, apparently a hybrid aimed at those who aren't ready to take the full fledged dive into Vibram individually-toed shoes, but want a barefooty feel. I've had the shoes for about a month, and they feel great. True to what everyone else says, buy a half size up from your normal shoe size. Running-wise, the shoe feels great and the pain I felt in my calves with motion-control shoes has been eliminated. I love the color scheme, mostly understated, but with a great bold streak of lime green. Recommended.

These may be the most comfortable shoes I've ever purchased. I bought them for running, but I haven't wanted to wear anything else since putting them on. They feel very natural, and actually do provide some arch support. I find them more comfortable than vibram 5-fingers. I'm impressed that a shoe with no cushioning feels more comfortable on the street than my asics. Very good design at work here, they fit like a glove and incredibly light.

This was my first pair of minimalist running shoes. Very happy with them. I've changed my running gait in line with barefoot running recommendations and seem to be running well. Even though I have an EE foot width these shoes have a really wide toe box and they fit true to size. I've only been running in them for around a month but I'd certainly recommend them.

Great shoe absolutely love it I normally wear a 9.5 but ordered a 10 after looking at other reviews and shoe fit perfect. I ordered these just prior to a Disney world trip and wore them for the first time in one of the parks all day and felt as if I had nothing on. Shoe wraps your foot nicely and provided me all the support I need, I would highly recommend this shoe to anyone considering a minimalist style shoe.

My new favorite shoes. I wasn't prepared for how much I'd like the look of these. I'm going to need to buy a second pair purely for going out so I can actually use a pair on trails. The Black/Silvers are really good looking shoes. The whole flat-footed running style feels good. You really don't have to think about it; the shoe changes your style automatically. You find your gate narrowing, your cadence increasing, and you don't slam your heals into the ground.

I found the shoes very light and comfortable, except that the size was small. With my socks I could not wear them. Will return and order larger pair.
