I was really on the fence about purchasing these boots. I wanted "fun" but not obnoxious and was concerned that the studs would be too gaudy. After reading several reviews I decided to give them a shot and I love them! The studs are very tasteful and not obnoxious as all! I got 2 compliments the first day I wore them! They pull on easily! If you're on the fence like me, try them, you won't be disappointed!

My very first pair of Frye boots! Why have I waited so long? I love these boots. Classy, supple leather and design. Comfortable is putting it mildly! I've ordered 3 more pair of Frye Boots.

I wanted these so bad! Ordered, came the next day (nice) and the buckle across the ankle wouldn't allow my foot to enter the boot on the left? The right one went on but the left was a no go! Its a gorgeous boot but please remember when you are looking at the circumference to look down at the boot size they measured in the item information section. (would be nice if they would just add that info and it would probably save on a zillion dollars in return fees with UPS/USPS! Just because its a 16 1/2 circumference on a size 9 does not mean that is the same circumference on a smaller size. In fact I have a size 6 foot and a 14 inch calf, and the boot that would go on... the *calf was tight* It would be so helpful when leaving feedback if everyone would leave their shoe size when they talk about the circumference on a boot. Smaller boot is smaller circumference especially in a Frye boot! I have runners calves but they are not huge. And, calves are different. Some have a bump at the top while others (like mine) almost run the length of the bottom of my leg so usually the middle of the boot is going to be tight on anyone that spends any time in a gym... unless you're blessed with skinny legs! The boot is beautiful and the leather on the shaft is like butter...so soft. I ordered the dark brown and they look much better than what you can see here in the ad. Sadly they had to go back. (so sad) I love love love Frye boots but Frye is not a boot that is going to fit everyone. The shaft on most of them is narrow...you'll be lucky if you ever get 15 inches in circumference out of a Frye boot so save yourself the trouble until the company understands that there are women out here that *eat* and women out here that *run* and need a larger circumference. Come on Frye...you would dominate the boot market if you would make some boots for some girls with calf muscles! I love Frye boots. So sad I had to return them. I love Frye so much I want to petition the company to start making a boot that we ladies with calves can buy. We love you Frye...but you don't fit us :( If the circumference in the boot would fit...I would have every pair of boots the Frye company makes. And I am not kidding!!!!! Regarding returns: I was very nervous about this and called 4 times regarding this. Remember that Zappos ships next day to you when you order but it takes at least a week for them to receive what you return back and possibly even longer for your credit card company to refund so do keep that in mind. There are easy instructions to follow here on the website and if you don't destroy the box you can just send it back in the box it came in with the return label they provide here or through email. It was pretty easy to return these boots but it took some time for me to get an email showing they were received in Kentucky...made me a nervous wreck! The people in customer care are wonderful and very friendly and helpful!

I was born in raised in San Diego so I hate the cold! But I also look forward to wearing my beautiful boots. I have these in black and cognac. I wear them with leggings and chunky sweaters! So comfy and super cute, I get tons of compliments!

I ordered these boots from zappos and they came the very next day! When I opened the box I expected to have my breath taken away like other reviewers had mentioned. My first reaction was that they were so ugly. Extremely repulsed and disappointed I closed the box and taped it up to go back to zappos without even trying them on. Days later my friend presuaded me just to humor her and try them on. So I did and I am so happy that I did. They looked so different on. They were stunning. I have a very hard time fitting into boots because of my 14" calfs but these are perfect! I tried on various pairs of fryes at Nordstroms and none worked for me. I was ready to give up on frye but I thought I would give it one more shot with these! I'm so in love!!

OMG! Who orders boots in August? Me! Especially if they are Frye boots, my 5th pair! When I opened the box, the angels began to sing! Gorgeous, yummy, comfortable, all that the reviews promised. I absolutely love them. They are standing right next to my harness Fryes! Thank you Zappos!

Wow, these boots are awesome! I'm 5'4 and these hit perfectly below the knee on me. Color is beautiful and they are very comfortable. They do take a little while to break in and a little more room around the calf wouldn't hurt. Skinny jeans can be tucked in with room to spare but not as room as the video on Zappos shows. I do have pretty sizable calves. Love my Fryes and will most likely buy another pair once I can save up for it, which takes a while. Super high quality boot.

When I saw these boots online, I absolutely fell in love with them. I saw that they got great reviews, so when I went to purchase these in both the chocolate glazed vintage leather and the black I did not hesitate (in fact, I nearly caught myself checking out with the cognac colored ones as well!). I decided to go with a 7.5 because some reviewers claimed they ran big (I take a 7-8 in shoes depending on the type/make, but always an 8 in boots), but now that I've received them, I'm sorta wishing I'd gotten an 8. Don't get me wrong, they definitely fit, but if I want a little extra room I'll have to keep to wearing thin socks. Guess it's sort of a moot point though considering neither color was stocked in an 8 anyway! As for the looks of the boots, they're pretty darn nice...especially the chocolate glazed vintage leather ones! Those are absolutely gorgeous! I'm sort of debating on whether or not to send the black ones back and exchange them for a different black Frye boot (in particular, the Jenna Chain Tall--just don't know if my 14'' calves will fit), but we'll see. The quality on both is great, but I guess that shouldn't be of surprise as they are Frye's after all. The only thing I'd change about these boots would be to make them about an inch taller in the shaft. I should also note that the black boots fit a bit snugger (all over) than the chocolate glazed vintage leather ones.

These boots are gorgeous! For me they ran a half to a full size larger. I am normally a 9 to 9.5 narrow and I took an 8.5. They fit perfect, and not to mention the fact they smell wonderful when you open the box! These are how boots used to be made. You will have them forever!

I absolutely love these boots. I wore them for the first time on New Years Eve and I could barely get down the street without women asking me where I purchase my boots. They fit great. They look great and I absolutely love anything Fryes has to offer. These boots have been added to my collection.

Love these boots. I have many different Frye boots, but these are my favorite pair. Very comfortable and attractive. I think they run a little wide, but heavier socks fix that. I get so many compliments on them and I can wear them all day long with comfort.

These boots are absolutely the best. They are extremely comfortable, the calf size is generous and easy to put on. I wouldn't mind having these boots in the other colors as well. If you are having a hard time deciding on these boots, let me help you, Go for it!!! You will not be disappointed.

These are the best boots ever. The fit, comfort, looks, and size are all great. I ordered my normal shoe size of 9½ and these boots fit great. Zappos is amazing for ordering or returning if you have to. The boots are beautiful if you can afford them, go ahead and get them you will not be disappointed.

I absolutely love these boots. I ordered my regular shoe size, 9½, after reading the other reviews and am glad that I did as they fit perfectly and are very beautiful. They are a bit pricey but if you have been thinking about these go ahead and get them. They are well worth the cash I ordered the dark brown and they are beautiful. They are my Christmas present to myself.

I love these boots! If you can swing it, buy them! They were super comfortable and high quality. Unfortunately, I sent them back. I ordered several styles of boots to compare and it was down to this Frye boot and one other brand. Because this boot has the rivet detailing along the top, it tended to draw the eye and attention down, chop up my leg, and therefore accentuate my short "thicker" stature. In the other boots I looked a few inches taller and leaner. If I hadn't had other boots to compare, I may not have noticed and it may not have been an issue. If I had the money, I'd definitely keep this pair too. But for now, I'm forced to choose.

I love these boots! I have never spent so much on a pair of boots but I had to have these. They were well worth the money, and I will definitely purchase Frye again. Well made and comfortable, even for a full day of being on your feet. I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered 1/2 size down. I found them to be too tight. I ended up exchanging for the size I usually wear. I have received many compliments on these and look forward to getting lots of use out of them. I recommend them highly.

These are the absolute best low heeled boots! The first day I wore them all day as I walked the rim of the Grand Canyon. Not a blister in sight! I normally wear an 8½ and was tempted to adjust based on Frye reviews. I ordered the 8½ anyway and they fit perfectly! The workmanship on these boots is outstanding!

My first pair of boots that I could find to accommodate my calves and not feel tight. After a couple of wears, they are softer and so comfortable.

Love, love, love these boots! I originally ordered them in brown, and loved them, so then I ordered them in black also. Both colors are beautiful! The most comfortable boots I have ever bought. No 'break in' needed. These were my first Frye purchase and I am hooked. I was hesitant to order due to the price, but now that I have them, I wear them at least 3-4 times a week, so I am definitely getting my money's worth! A little bit tight getting my foot in the first time or two, but then they loosened up a little. Would definitely recommend these-you won't be disappointed!

Expensive but worth every penny. Boots are so comfortable and true to size. Leather is so soft. I wear the boots all the time.

I own about 20 pairs of Frye boots over the past 25 years and when I received these I remembered why. So well worth the money - nothing compares - nothing. It took a lot for me to hit the purchase button but like I said worth every single penny. I loved them before I took them out of the box. Amazing, just amazing. They are so trendy yet so still western at the same time. The color: Grey Soft Vintage was the best choice for me. I love Zappos for their so speedy delivery -- definitely makes a difference in a crazy world. I wouldn't buy Frye's anywhere else. These will make me happy every time I put them on for years and years to come. I highly recommend these if you like the Veronica Slouch (not as slouchy) but the same feel and look. So happy...now I have some explaining to do if my husband notices them...good thing he's a Frye guy.

Amazing boots. I ordered my regular size and they fit well. I know everyone says real leather will stretch over time, but these look and feel great. I will just have to wait and see if they stretch! Love, love, love them!
