I have suffered from heel spurs, shin splints and knee pain from surgery. I recently started taking Zumba classes and would have to come home and immediately ice my knees because my current shoes provided very little shock absorbency. Not wanting to give up such a great class, I was now on the search for a pair of sneakers that would eliminate the achy knees. I went to an Asics store in Manhattan and received great customer assistance to determine my needs for the right shoe. I tried several of the shoes with shock absorbency and they were good. Then, I put on the Gel-Kinsei 4 and felt like I was walking on clouds. I was extremely happy to hear that I could actually wear them for 30 days and return them. And try them out I did! I went to Zumba class that night and was bouncing around with the best of them!! They are on the pricey side, but I look at it this way, better pay for expensive sneakers now then to pay for a really expensive knee or hip operation later because you didn't have the right pair of shoes.

Very nice shoe but a little pricey. I don't think it is that much better than other cheaper shoes for the price it costs. Also, from the picture, I thought it was going to have a lot of cushion, but it didn't have more than other more basic or cheaper shoes. It seems pretty durable though and it looks very nice.

These were heavier than the Cumulus and were actually loud when walking in them. The toes were more narrow than I had read in other reviews. I love Asics but these have to go back.

These shoes get tons of attention, love them! They are very comfortable but I would recommend sizing up 1/2 size...I think they run a bit small.

I have extreme pain and have suffered for two years with plantar fasciitis and heel spurs. I have spent a couple thousand dollars or more on doctors and shoes. These are the highest price tennis shoe I have ever bought but they have been worth every penny! I can finally walk without pain and have great support.

These are incredibly comfortable. I work 12 hour shifts as an RN and I forget what's on my feet, but everyone else notices!

I have worn Gel-Kayano's for years and decided to try some new Asics shoes. I tried the ASICS GEL-Nimbus 15, the ASICS Gel-Kinsei 4 and the Asics GEL-Cirrus33 2 at the same time and the Nimbus was hands down the winner on comfort. The Asics Gel-Kinsei 4 was ok, my second favorite, I love the rainbow color scheme and the lavender silver color scheme also. I also like the slightly larger toe box and that the toe area of the shoe is soft, almost floppy, and moves and does not have seams to rub the foot. I have had that problem with other Ascis in the past, like my cross trainers. But these sneakers are slightly stiff, feel hard when you walk in them and run narrow in my opinion. The rainbow pair I tried had clearly been broken in by another customer and returned and fit but when I returned these for a clean unworn pair I noticed they actually ran narrow. I compared them to my Kayanos that I always wear and they are a little shorter and maybe a hair more narrow. I also dislike that the laces run short and you really have to loosen them to wear these shoes. The funny angular eyelets for the laces catch the laces and make loosening them nearly impossible to do quickly and annoying. Also, the fishnet design on the fabric is like real fishnets on top of the fabric, not a design on the fabric, but a top layer and so it is easy to catch and get caught on those, so that will probably look worn down the road, they seem to have zero purpose? These are good shoes if you want less cushioning. I would say order half a size up. Since I do not run but do gym cardio, these did not work for me.

Love these. They are so comfortable. Nice, roomy toe box, great shock absorption in the heel really helps my plantar fasciitis. Gel cushion in the front also alleviates pain in the ball of my foot. 4 stars overall only because I wish they were a little more affordable. They ran a little bigger than some other Asics I've tried and I returned them for a 1/2 size smaller, which is a perfect fit. I use custom orthotics so can't comment on the arch support.

I am sadly disappointed at this Asics shoe. The price is outrageous for such an uncomfortable shoe. Asics are my go to shoe for all my running and marathon needs, this particular style isn't even suitable for walking. I wear a normal width, this is meant for a narrow foot, it dug into my feet from the sides and top I had to change shoes in the middle of the day after walking around in these to break them in. Sadly disappointed and wasted a lot of money.

I'm a huge fan of Asics and have owned several pairs over the years. I fell in love with the look and feel of this style as soon as I put them on. They are very comfortable...for a few minutes. The gel heel pieces are not connected and therefore offer zero support or stabilization. After a few hours shopping, walking, hiking, or biking in these, my foot bones and knees are killing me. I took them to the physical therapist (I had no problems until I bought these) and he said I was ripped off. I'm sad to say these are my last Asics.

Best shoes ever!

This is the first pair of sneakers that I have absolutely loved not only for the fit but for the design that you look like you are wearing two different shoes. Only thing is I've been searching because I want another pair just the same and I can't find them anywhere. I'm really bummed that I can't find them.

Paid crazy money for another pair of these on eBay since they've been discontinued. My favorite sneaker - ever. I have super high arches and am a supinator - have to have a lot of cushioning. I could just cry I can't buy these forever. If you're lucky enough to be a size 12, go for it!

I am an RN in the ER and after five knee operations and wicked plantar fasciitis, I needed shoes that would be comfortable, lightweight, and supportive. I used to wear Dansko clogs, but I got tired of my weak ankles rolling out of them every time I needed to move quickly. I tried a pair of Gel Kayanos and after wearing them for two consecutive 12 hour shifts, I couldn't put any weight on my feet because of the plantar fasciitis. I was hesitant of these shoes because of the price, but I'm really glad I tried these. Now I do have to wear 3/4 orthotics and special insoles with extra arch support, but I can walk/run/squat/jump all night in these and my feet feel great. They also give the added bonus of at least one compliment each shift!

Comfortable, stylish and durable. I work in retail 12 hours a day and these shoes have kept my legs and feet from the common fatigue associated with walking on concrete all day! Along with lots of compliments from fellow associates. The colors make it easy to coordinate with outfits. They match everything including khaki's. They are worth the price.

I absolutely love these shoes! I have been looking for the perfect pair of shoes for a while, and I am pretty sure that I finally found them! They are so cute, and so comfortable. They fit me perfectly.

I have gone back and forth between another brand and ASICS for years, but this shoe is amazing! I am on my feet all day for work, walking, lifting, bending ect. and these shoes can certainly keep up with a busy day. I have a difficult time finding a shoe with a good arch support, but my feet aren't sore at the end of the day with these shoes. I would recommend these to any of my friends, and who doesn't love the fun colors!!

These shoes have been excellent! I have added my own insoles due to my extra fragile knees and they have been very comfortable and staying in great condition even after 200 miles of running. I have high hopes that they will last me a long time. I highly recommend them!

I do love these shoes! I had a long time looking for good shoes, with a great support and of course a good look! And these shoes are all of that! I simply love them!

These are extremely comfortable and supportive. I can walk around for hours and my feet never start to ache, and I have the type of feet that will normally start hurting after 30 minutes of standing in other shoes. They're not as bulky as they look but I think they provide superior cushioning to other Asics.

I have been totally pleased with this shoe. I have serious back and joint issues, so good shoes are a must. I bought the Nimbus line for years until Nimbus 14 which was a serious step below in previous quality. I also found myself frequently replacing my Nimbus shoes--every two to three months. At my husband's urging, I decided to try the Kinsei 4. WOW! I have never bought a shoe I've been more pleased with. It lasts considerably longer than the Nimbus and maintains its support and padding. It is an extremely well-built shoe. I needed a full size larger, but many may be satisfied with just half a size larger. I was a bit distressed with the higher price, but it's completely worth it and saves money if your shoes last longer. And decreasing joint pain is priceless. The Zappos price for the Kinsei 4 since the Kinsei 5 has come out is the best price out there.

I suffer from Severe Fibromyalgia and Systemic Lupus. This causes me to experience pain with every move I make. I may not be able to speak to other models of this shoe or others. What I can tell you is that they allow me to walk 4+ miles each day with minimal discomfort. They are very well made, and more comfortable than I ever expected. They are well worth the cost. My left side joints seem to be the worst most of the time. Other shoes I have worn couldn't gel me here. My right foot tends to hit the pavement a little harder than the left and after a walk, I used to have bruise like pain. However, with the Kinsei 4, no pain. They support my foot and add extra comfort because the gel inserts. All around a fantastic shoe!

The best purchase I have ever made. It is worth every penny of it. My back pain is gone. I can stand and work 12 hours without hurting or burning on my feet. I love it. Will buy another pair in different color.

Love these shoes. They not only look great but are very comfortable. Good support for my high arch and slightly narrow foot. My kids call them my fancy shoes because I wear running shoes all the time but these are the nicest.
