I love these boots. They're phenomenal. Best lace-ups I've ever owned. They're almost broken-in for long walks now, but you can wear them comfortably right out of the box if you don't overdo it. Only one wish (for boots in general) and that there were more options on outer soles. The tread pattern is minimal, but I prefer a smooth flat sole. First thing I did was take the silly little flags off the lace, but if that's your style, rock it.

Comfortable. And a great price for an American made boot. Everything else in this price range is made in China. A+

I was so happy to find that you had the boots my husband had been looking for, for the longest time. He is very happy with his boots and your wonderfully prompt and professional service.

Great pair of boots. They have a really nice distressed leather look. They're well made of quality leather and the vibram sole is so thick and sturdy it'll probably outlast even the upper. The boots are sized large, a full size larger than my normal. That seems to be normal for this brand. But that's my one and only complaint. Otherwise they're near perfect.

The upper is incredibly comfortable, but it feels like there's a metal rod across the arch. This is worse on the right boot, so it's possibly a defect, but it's there on both. For sizing, I went a half size smaller than my foot size, as measured by a Brannock device. Foot size: 8.5, Mizuno or New Balance running shoe: 9, Chuck Taylors: 8, Red Wings: 8, this boot: 8. Sadly, I have to return due to the excessive/poorly placed arch support.

A sturdy, well made boot. I think I have finally found a boot I can abuse for years instead of months. The sole is thicker than it appears on the pictures, should take a beating from concrete abrasion. The upper leather is supple but thick. Perfect boot.

These were perfectly comfortable out of the box. I have been wearing them for 2 weeks straight with no issues. I wear an 11 and 10.5 fit perfectly.

Quality construction, true to size, perfect for motorcycle use and casual wear. A more cushioned insole than the Red Wings, similar heavy duty design. Not yet broken in and haven't spent much time on my feet, but surprisingly comfortable out of the box.

This is the second pair of these I bought for my husband. They run a bit large so size down a whole size. Great quality and looks. 1st pair lasted 2 years through rough nyc winters and lots of city walking. Nice casual boot.

Great boots, I tried on some similar Chippewa boots at a store, not quite the style I was looking for, and got a sense of what size would be right. These are going to be my work boots but the style is right for wearing around the city. Ordered a smaller size than I wear, worked outgreat.

These are well made quality boots. Reviews said the boots are half a size big. I ordered my exact size so I would have room for wool socks. I am happy with them.

I have owned this pair for at least two years now. Worked long hard days in them. Treated them like crap and they have held up great. I do have a nice pair of inserts (super feet) I put in them which may have helped the comfort. I'm writing this review as I order my second pair. Only need another because I ruined my other with epoxy. Great quality leather, durable sole, tough. Also nice to ride a motorcycle in.

I've been running these boots for about three months now for commuting on a motorcycle. At first I wasn't sure about being on my feet for a long time in them but as time has passed they've gotten comfortable enough that when I'm off site at work I wear them all day. At the suggestion of another reviewer I applied sno-seal and my feet have been warm and happy in a variety of riding conditions. I have two minor comments. I liked the sole of the logger boots better and I've noticed that these soles can be a bit slippery on smooth concrete. Also a handy pull tab on the back of the boot would be nice. Regardless I'm quite happy with the boots and would purchase them again without reservation.

Usually a Justin boot purchaser, I am now a Cherokee boot convert. It only took a few minutes to recognize the quality and craftsmanship to get me to switch. I spend a lot of time on my feet in a vineyard, thus need a well made pair of boots with a solid footbed to negotiate uneven terrain. The pullout insoles allowed for insertion of my medical orthotics. The Vibram sole on a solid leather mid-sole means I can replace the Vibram soles when needed and keep these boots for a long while. They were immediately comfortable out of the box with supple leather uppers. Having ordered a half size too large, the Zappos exchange procedures put the right size boots on my door step 48 hours later. Having tried a number of different boot brands, I am now a Cherokee convert and am working the vineyard in comfort thanks to Cherokee and Zappos.

Cherokee is the best of the many I have tried.

I've never had a pair of boots this tall before, and I find that these rub against the front of my ankle quite a bit. I also feel pretty restricted in ankle movement, which I didn't consider when I made this choice, although maybe seems obvious in hindsight. Other boots I've had in the past are more of the hiking boot style, so maybe that's why I didn't anticipate the restricted movement. Also, the first pair I got didn't seem to fit right so I exchanged it for a half size smaller, but choice the wide width (initially I had ordered the normal width). I don't normally wear wide shoes.

These need no break in really, but now that I've had them about 6 months and oiled them several times they look so perfect. They look good out of the box but a little more workboot style than I expected. I ride in them everyday, so I use mink oil on them often especially where my shifter hits. I am very pleased with these boots; so much I bought a pair for my best friend. Could be more pleased especially for the price.

Excellent boots, but run super large. My dad just ordered the black Chippewa Baldor logger boot, a comparable boot. I tried them on and ordered the same size in these Apaches, and they are almost a full inch longer! Feels almost 2 full sizes larger than what I'm used to. Will return and order a much smaller size!

Love the boot, but wish it had an outdoor sole with lugs. Returned it, so I can't speak for durability.

Overall...very happy with these boots. Couple issues. I ordered a 9.5EE boot and the box was marked 9.5EE, but the boots were 9EE...they fit...so no problem. Also, the boots were much lighter in person than in the photo on the website...applied 2 coats of olive oil, 1 coat of mink oil, and 1 coat of neutral shoe wax. Boots now look and great and the leather is very conditioned. Wore these boots all day the first day and very easy to break in...overall, very good boots.

I'm going to keep these boots only because I need a new pair of boots. Not because they're well made. Not because they're comfortable. They're actually neither but it looks like they're the best I can get for the price. Why they made them with deep grooves in the sole is hard to understand. Why would anyone want to pick up great slivers of mud and leave them behind where ever you walk? Odd. Now it takes a lot to buy a decent pair of boots. Aren't these made for working people or yuppie posers?

I was very disappointed with these boots. They look fine out of the box. But the support is horrible. After trying on a few other Chippewas in a store to make sure I determined that they have a very pronounced arch that to me feels like a wooden dowel under my foot all day. Even after buying an expensive pair of insoles to help, they were very hard to work a full day in. I tried breaking them in for a week straight and while the upper began to form to my foot the foot bed was incredibly uncomfortable. I cannot wear them and I cannot send them back so this will be my last try with this brand. I have a three year old worn out pair of Carhartt boots that still treat me better than these.
