I'm very torn about these boots, but they're going back. Size/fit: I usually wear a size 5.5 and the 6 fit me fine. The height is ideal on a petite person like me (4'11"). Comfort: There's not much arch support, so I might go for an insole, but otherwise this was very comfortable for walking around in city streets. Climbing stairs in a building was a bit tiring because the exterior is not flexible enough for that, but this was a minor issue. Style: Cute. I love the deep red color. I can tuck my regular jeans in, but these boots would look best with skinny jeans, leggings, or a skirt. Issues: You can't tell from the pictures, but this boot (and many of the Kamik boots) has a clear plastic-like outer layer, and the gorgeous color comes from the cloth inner lining. I am a little worried about the lining becoming ripped one of these days, and then you'd have a boot with parts that are see-through. Also, I walked around in 62 degree spring weather with these boots, leggings, and regular thin socks, and my feet started to sweat. This wouldn't be such a big deal except for the fact that the cloth lining by the toe got damp, and when I took off the boots and inspected them closely, you could actually see the places that got most sweaty -- there were dark splotches. I could see this being a problem for boots with bright or light colors.

I bought Kamik Naomi, Heidi and Ellie boots and ended up keeping these. The Ellie boots supposedly had a warmer lining but that didn't sell me on the higher price tag since in cold weather I would just wear my waterproof snow boots. The Heidi boots are a few inches shorter than Naomi which would be good for someone with larger calves but they left too much space for me. I never considered myself to have large calves but these boots are pretty snug with pants tucked in. I generally wear a size 6.5 or 7 and I felt the 7s were a good size. Overall they're very comfortable and well made.

I never thought a simple pair of wellies would make me think "sexy!" The truth is, as soon as I put these on and looked in the mirror, I was floored! Great pair of boots - comfortable, looks great, and seems to be very well made. The lining is soft and the exterior, while sturdy, is also flexible. I bought a size larger than I normally am as I plan on wearing thick socks with it.

This is the only brand of rain boots out there in my budget that don't feel loose, huge, and rainboot-ish. I tried many pairs before these and am happy with the Kamik Naomi. They do fit snug on sides, but my feet adjusted after about an hr of wear. Shaft is too narrow to tuck anything bulkier than a legging inside- If you have large calves, try their new large calve boots. Believe it or not, I live in Washington State and this is the first pair of rainboots I've owned since age 5. I wear them everywhere...

Love these rain boots! Just as nice as the Hunter boots but 1/2 the price! I wear size 10 and the 10 fit me like a glove. It was snug in the calf area but that's what you want in a rain boot!

Delighted! I had ordered both this and the Hunter Original Gloss in pillar box red. I'm an 8.5, so I ordered the 9 in both. The Hunter was much bigger -- not to mention over twice the price -- and I was slopping around in them. And, man...are those puppies red! The Kamik's are a gorgeous burgundy and fit like a perfect 8.5. Plus, I have fairly narrow feet, a high instep, and high arches: the foot bed in these are perfect. Only caution: they're perfect for my calves, even with jeans tucked in, but if you have seriously muscular calves, they might not do the trick for you. All in all, I can't ever remember being so tickled with a pair of gum boots!

These are super cute! The blue is only a hint darker than what you see in the photo. Snug around the calves to keep the weather out, and the foot area is true to size. Plenty of space to tuck in pants and wear thick socks. Now I just need to some rain or snow!

I have never been so pleased with a shipment such as this item. The boots came promptly three days after I submitted the order, and the item is terrific. I know our daughter will be very pleased when she opens this gift on Christmas.

Fits comfortably around my calves, but there is suction in taking them off. Very comfy for walking my dog, should have bought them sooner.

I just got a pair of these and they seem dependable. But the fit is weird in the ankle. They'll do the job and this doesn't affect the comfort level but it is annoying on long walks. And I think they only way you could get something that fit better would be to buy a pair of Hunter's. But I will not spend that much on rain boots, sorry.

Good, solid rain boot, though quite heavy. I paddled in the river while walking the dog to test them and they were perfectly dry inside. There is some padding in the sole, enough to walk a mile or two. The calf fits fairly closely. I could get them over my jeans with a bit of work, but that's the way it should be. If they were looser, the rain would run down inside (Which is why I was replacing the old ones!).

These are not nearly as pretty in person. They are a mid colored blue material covered by plastic, not shiny light blue like in the photo.

More burgundy than red. My daughter wants bright red. Also tight around calf.

I love the color and style, but they were too snug at the calf. Sorry, but they are going back.

I love these boots! I wore them for 4.5 years--fall through spring; in rain, snow, ice, and mud--before they started to break down at all. After going through many pairs of less expensive rain boots that would tear after a few months, I decided to get something more sturdy. I looked at these and several pairs of Hunter boots. These were the clear winner. The fit is snug: I usually wear a 7.5-8 (mostly an 8 in boots), but the 8 was too tight so I exchanged it for a 9, which is great. I enjoy that the boot is slim enough to conform closely around your ankle and calf, as this stops wind/rain from rushing down. (Contrast: the Hunters I tried were all looser.) There's enough room to tuck in pants, even wide-legged jeans. These boots truly seal your feet in, so your feet will be warm in cool weather and toasty/sweaty in warm weather. I've lived in these boots for the past 4.5 years and can't say enough good things about them. They've held up to constant use in New England snow and freezing Chicago. After 4 years, one is finally starting to crack in the sole and toe. I contemplated getting a different brand, but these Kamik boots have been so terrific that I'm going to get another pair like the ones I have. The price is excellent; I think spending this much every 4-5 years for boots of this quality is more than a deal.

Not the bright red that these were when offered 2+ years ago , cranberry ? Not as pictured - same great fit , thank goodness! Last pair lasted nearly 4 years , loved the old bright red , not unlike the pictured boot ... but not now ! Please consider changing the photo Zappos ! Everything else I love about this boot , I even purchased 2 pair when Zappos notified me they had it back in stock , but I had to return 1 pair due to the color issue .The bright red was so much nicer on dreary rainy days .

Finally, a rain boot for skinny calves and narrow ankles! They are so light and flexible, unlike many others I have tried, and have a very comfortable insole. It surprised me that the boot isn't made of a purple plastic- the color comes from a piece of fabric with a super shiny clear plastic over it (can see it better if you zoom in), but I think the effect is unique and I love them. I normally wear a 5.5 and the 6 work for me, but I need thicker socks. There wasn't enough room to fit my Hunter fleece welly socks inside, but a small price to pay for a great fit in warmer weather. I have super skinny calves and though I still have a bit of wiggle room at the top, I could see how these wouldn't work for anyone with muscular or wide calves. The ankle is also skinny (especially in relation to the wider toe box), but that works for me. Overall, these are the most comfortable and adorable rain boots I have ever found, and I'm thrilled they are such a bargain! I would have paid a lot more, considering the Hunters I've tried are heavy, wide at the calf, and twice the price! So thrilled with these.

I am happy with this purchase. Good price, and not too complicated. I like that they are not gigantic around the calf and seem to wear like riding boots as opposed to sloshy 'rain' boots- I can still tuck pants into them if needed but they are cute with skirt/dress too. When buying boots, I usually buy one size bigger than my normal shoe size and these were no exception and fit well with socks.

Great boots... I usually wear an 8 1/2 and I ordered the 9. They fit great and are not floppy like most boots.

Not a good boot for a high instep. I couldn't get my foot down into the foot bed. I went with the Tretorn Langta Rain Boot-very comfy. The Kamik is going back. As usual great service from Zappos. Love them!

Great boot for the price! Comfortable and fitted around the calf which allows for a much sleeker look. Perfect for when wearing a dress or leggings.

Perfect for rainboots, a little tight around my calf but a good shoe fit!
