I have metatarsalgia---ball of foot pain--and have to be very careful in selecting shoes. I also have high arches and need to have shoes with good arch support. When I wear shoes that have good support, my pain is eliminated. This shoe has moderate support but also has a removable footbed and I inserted my own insole that has a pronounced metatarsal support and a good medial arch support. I wore these on a two-week trip in Europe recently, and they were great. They are good travel shoes, too, because they are easy on and off in airports. Other good shoes to consider for metatarsalgia are Merrell Encore Eclipse (substituted with my own insole), Naot, Finn Comfort Adana, SOLE casual flip flops, Orthoheel flip flops, and Worishofer.

These shoes are fabulous! I had recent bunion surgery and also suffer with hammertoes.These shoes were comfortable out of the box and accommodate my orthotics. I highly recommend them.

I want to wear these shoes for the rest of my life, they are the most comfortable pair of shoes that I've had. Excellent support, and the velcro cross strap is adjustable, so there is room if you have extra wide feet or a shoe insert.

I have found these shoes very comfortable. Didn't need to break them in, even walked miles in them the first time I wore them. I think the support would be sufficient, but since I replaced the insoles w/ my own, I can't speak to that. I bought the wide which I need, and the toebox is also comfortably high. The strap is in the right place to keep the foot from slipping.

Aravon shoes give the support and comfort of athletic shoes with the style and polish of dressier shoes. I love them and so do my feet!

I love these shoes! They are very true to size and look great. The shoes offer support and great comfort! I ordered them one day and wore them the whole next day. They fit and feel comfortable, and I wore them all day with no problems. I got many compliments on them!I would recommend this pair highly!

I have a narrow heel and this heel was too loose for me. They were also a little short.

The shoe is as unattractive in person, if not more so, than it is on the website. However, the shoe is very comfortable. If you're on the younger side (I'm 32) and prefer comfort over fashion, you can get away with this fashion crime by wearing a longer pant. Lastly, it's a little flat...not enough arch support. Length and width are true to size.

These "were" the best shoes I ever "owned" as my dog just chewed the strap in half! Bummer. These are by far the best pair of shoes I ever owned & Ive had them for years. People would stop me on the street & complement me on them. I'm getting another pair!

I have plantar fascitis, metatarsalgia, high arches, and diabetes. When I wear this shoe with my orthotic, I can work without pain. I do have to cinch the velcro down because I also have narrow heels. The leather is very soft on my sensitive feet also. I would highly recommend these shoes if you need a soft shoe and can make the heels work for you.

Runs a little wide in the heel for my narrow foot, which made the shoe feel big. Lots of good toe room though and felt the length was spot on. Nice leather and easy on/off with velcro strap. Hated to return the shoe but could only wear with a heavier sock, so could not enjoy it in the warmer weather.

I have trouble finding comfortable attractive shoes. A large bunion, high arches and other conditions make shoe shopping a chore. I've ordered and returned several pairs of loafers and Mary Janes, and almost gave up. When I saw the Aravan Farah, I decided to give it one more try. This shoe fits exactly as it should, is very flexible and more attractive than the picture. I'd like to order this style in more colors. Thanks, Zappos, for fantastic shoes and perfect service.

I already had these in black so when these were on sale I jumped to the chance of getting them in another color. Love them.

Shoes are very comfy and feel true to size. They look dressy with slacks but are comfy enough to walk 3 miles per day in which I do.

In my opinion these shoes are a definite step up in attractiveness from many comparable "comfort shoe" Mary Janes, and seemed as though they would be exceptionally comfortable if they fit. Sadly, I could not get a proper fit and had to return them, despite trying three different sizes -- thanks Zappos! (My orthotics can complicate the issue in some shoes.) I was not familiar with this brand, which comes in American sizing, & to me this shoe runs small (short) and a little narrower than some other comfort brands. (Some of their American & European sizing equivalents, printed on the boxes, were a little different from those of other brands I've worn -- it might be a good idea if they were listed on the web site.) Don't hesitate to try them, however -- it's a lot less clunky looking on the foot than some similar styles.
