I want to love these shoes. They are so pretty & cute, perfect for work & dressing up. The heels are a reasonable height and made of shock-absorbing material. The adjustable strap makes them fit securely. They have arch support. But...they hurt! At the instep, where the arch is highest, they don't meet the interior "wall" of the shoe. So there is a hard, sharp edge that rubs constantly and pinches the inside of your arch/instep. Plus, there is no padding at all under the footbed (I had assumed it would be the Naot cork insole) so they are surprisingly unforgiving to walk in. The sole is stiff so you clomp rather than walk. I tried both a 39 and 40 shoe. I tried adding gel insoles at the ball of the foot (which, frankly, for a shoe at this price you really shouldn't have to do). Nothing works. Sadly, these are an "ouch" rather than an "aaahh". I will be returning both sizes and start looking for something else.

This is the first comfortable, "dressy" shoe that I have found in years. Because of a worn-out big toe joint on my left foot, I need a shoe that does not narrow down at the toe, and that is this shoe. I had to get a size 41 instead of my normal 40, but the fit is fine and very comfortable.

This shoe is by far the most comfortable shoe I own. And I am a shoeaholic. After having surgery on my heel this is the first closed in heel shoe that I have been able to wear. I wore it with my dress up clothes for Christmas parties. I love this shoe.

These shoes are amazing! I was eyeing them for months and decided to finally purchase them. I like them even more than the Trendys. They are amazing for a narrow foot. Please don't discontinue these. The heels is stiff at first but it improves. My patients and coworkers always compliment me on these shoes! I can stand in clinic for 12 hours and not have back or foot pain. I really want the red pair now. Naots are worth every penny! I love the Kate sandal as well! If you want an amazing dress shoe and have narrow feet these are for you!

These are wonderful! I wouldn't call them dress shoes but they are nice enough with all the quality, comfort and support you would expect from Naot.

I have a knee injury and have been on the hunt for low heel work-appropriate shoes with a strap forever. Impossible! I found these, spent more than I usually would on shoes, and they're great. They rub one of my toes, but a small bandage fixes that. They're SUPER comfortable - I wore them for a 20 hour work day at a conference, walked all over downtown Chicago and my feet were fine. They're a little clunky for my taste, but they've worked out fine.

I love these shoes. I have had plantar fasciitis (twice) and have flat (really flat) feet. These shoes are the first really comfortable shoes I've had in years!

This is a fabulously comfortable shoe, and the color/style is cute; I wore it for the first time at a conference, with a 5 hour airline trip afterwards with no discomfort at all. I'll definitely buy more Naot shoes.

This shoe felt 1/2 to a full size smaller than marked. My toes were up against the edges of the shoe.

I own several pairs of Naot shoes that I love, but are primarily suitable for casual wear. These Naot shoes are gorgeous and dressy. Indeed the shoes are far more beautiful in person. Great style for those of us who want to remain fashionable, but have passed the age where we can wear high heels.

Amazing shoes. I am wearing them in my wedding actually. The description was exactly what I received and I am very pleased with this purchase.

I love this shoe, except that it is really just too heavy. I was surprised because I wear their sandals all the time, and the styles I wear are extremely light weight.

Very comfortable as Naots always are. Bought these to wear as dress shoes, but the first time I wore them right out of the box was with a pair of jeans and they looked great. First time wear was for 8 hours on my feet the whole time and very comfortable. I have many Naots and have never had an issue.

I have terrible feet and long to wear fashionable shoes, or at least shoes that look minimally cool. I haven't had a heel that was comfortable in years, but I keep trying. And I found it with this shoe. Its wonderful. I walked 10 blocks to and 10 blocks back from the opera in DC this weekend and my feet wear HAPPY! Best of all, I could dress for the opera!

Super cute shoe. Comfortable at first, but not for all day wear. At least not with my feet. Love Naot and will buy more of their shoes.

I love these shoes. The toe box of some other Naot pumps are a bit narrow for me, but these fit much more like my summer sandals. This is a solidly constructed shoe with a lot of style. I teach and am on my feet all day; my feet never hurt when I wear these. I get lots of compliments on them and find that they look good with pants and skirts. I've never regretted spending the money on Naot’s. The other pair I own have held up so well and have been so comfortable that the price is warranted.

Got this shoe in black and it is gorgeous - great for the right foot, but mine is narrow and even with the strap, it's too loose and my foot slides down and gets squished in the toebox. I wish Naot made narrows! I can sometimes wear their flats.

Gorgeous heels and super comfortable. I don\'t often wear heels, but these are a breeze to wear along with being supportive and stylish. True to size.

Foot problems and stylish shoes don't go together very well. These shoes come close to that sweet spot of looking good and feeling good - they have a nice toe box that's roomy enough despite my bunions and cross-over problem. But they're just not quite as stylish as I was hoping for. I'm going to keep on looking.

These are attractive and off-beat at the same time. The "shimmer" leather is satin shiny and gives these modern looking shoes a bit of a vintage tone. The color is wine/burgundy (not the bright red that the photo shows - at least on my monitor). They feel strong and stable. The toe box has enough room for a foot that trends on the wide side of medium. The arch support is a little too far back toward the heel to be ideal for my foot, but the shoe is comfortable enough overall.

Loved the look, hated the feel. Based on the price, the brand & low heel, I had assumed these shoes would be very comfortable but they were not at all. At age 47, I have to have some cushion and flexibility; these shoes felt rigid and hard as bricks to me. 20 years ago they probably would've felt just fine to me though.

I purchased these shoes elsewhere I take a 39 in the sandals but this shoe runs short- unfortunately the retailer I bought from was unable to exchange them as he didn't have a 40. I called Naot thinking they might be able to accommodate me since the retailer was no longer a Naot distributor and the shoes were unworn. The long and short is that Naot was totally unhelpful they don't stand behind their product. It has made me reluctant to buy Naot shoes again you need to know that the shoe manufacturer backs up their shoes.Zappos will but in the extraordinary event that something goes wrong after a year be aware that Naot won't help they have no connection to the shoes once they are sold to the retailer.I like knowing that a product is fully backed by the manufacturer and Naot does not do this and I have been having very bad luck with their shoes nothing has been comfortable- the sandals work better for me but I am very disappointed in the brand- absolutely awful customer service from Naot.

Love these! I am a Naot fan and wanted to try some heels. I have the Kirei's, which I adore, but lets be honest, they are cute, but people do not stop you on the street because they love your shoes. These, however, are comfortable for all day wear (and believe me, I am picky about comfortable shoes!) and I get compliments on them almost every time I wear them. They are very expensive, but worth it for comfort. I got the shitake color, and love it. They go with almost everything. And if they are anything like my other Naot shoes, they will last a long time. I wore one pair at least every other day for about 4 years and they still next to new.

I never write reviews, but reading other people's review of this shoe helped me, so it's time to do my part. This shoe is AWESOME. It is the only truly comfy dress shoe that's beautiful--and doesn't look orthopedic. It's true. Based on the reviews, I bought them, even with the steep price. I have a connective tissue disorder--I pronate severely, I have a hip and a knee replacement, and plantar fascia--but I'm 33. So, I want something cute and age-appropriate for work and going out. This is it! It accommodates my custom-orthotics, even without a removable insole. The wide strap provide extra support against pronation. And they look great--I was wearing them inside to try them, and my friend came over for dinner and said, sexy shoes! I gave style 4 out of 5 stars because I would prefer they made them in a smooth leather in addition to suede. I also bought the red ones. Great--but know they are more of a burgundy wine color than the red on the screen. That will actually make them more versatile, but but a brighter red would be awesome!

Lovely shoes. A bit quirky and clunky but very comfortable. I can wear them at work walking around all day. They look better with pants than skirts/dresses.
