Great shoe! I have them in the blue and taupe colors. I'm a true 9 and a 9.5 works for me. But, I also put an insole for arch support under the existing insole provided by Ahnu and that works wonderfully. The strap across the top is adjustable for the times when you've been walking all day and your feet swell just minorly. I highly recommend this shoe.

I love this shoe and it would have been my second pair. The only reason I am sending it back it the color is very purple. I thought it was more of a burgundy.

Just got this shoe yesterday via Zappos’ great shipping! Love it! I ordered my normal size and I would say that these run pretty true to size. My foot is a little on the narrow side, but the cinch strap snugs up nicely for a secure fit. Some other reviewers stated that the toe box felt a little tight. I find it to be very roomy. These are really comfortable with good arch support and a nice heel cushion. Great everyday shoe alternative to my usual clogs, cute with jeans or a skirt! They don't look clunky on your foot and have much better support than ballet flats. Just what I've been looking for.

These may be the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned. Lots of cushioning in the heel. Cute too.

I wish these shoes would have worked for me but they were small in the toe box and rubbed at the back of my heel. As always Zappos delivers extraordinary customer service and exchanging them for something that would work better for me was super easy! I will be sticking to my Danskos and Crocs for work.

This is my 2nd pair of the Ahnu Benicia. I bought my first pair three years ago, the Benicia I, which I took to China with me. Both pairs are very versatile, I am able to present at a professional conference, go hiking, shopping, or walking around the city in these shoes. They look great with a dress and stockings or with long pants. My only complaint is that the Benicia II seems more snug around the front of the shoe, where my toes are. I wore them all day, but felt a bit of crunching in my toes. Otherwise they are perfect for me.

These shoes are super cute and versatile as to what you can wear them with. I get compliments on them every time I wear them. I normally wear a size 8 and found that an 8 was too small in all of the Ahnu shoes I tried on. In some of the Ahnu styles the 8 1/2 was too big and flopped off my heel when I walked. In this particular style (Benicia II), the 8 1/2 works because of how the strap goes across the top of the foot, so it's something to be aware of if you're considering other Ahnu styles. I almost felt that a 8 1/4 would have been perfect in the other styles, if that were an option. The insole is very cushy and soft. Unfortunately, there is not as much arch support as I had hoped for, but they're still pretty comfy. The removable insole is quite thick so it could be removed and replaced with orthotics, if necessary. I've been searching for the perfect shoe in this style and I am very happy with my choice.

After a few wearings these shoes feel so comfortable it is like I have had them for years. They have the perfect amount of support in the arch and are very easy to adjust using the pull strap. I bought them because I have had a problem with the tendons in the top of my feet and needed shoes with more support. These have been a Godsend and are more stylish than tennis shoes.

I have bunion on left foot and needed a shoe with good arch support. I love these shoes. These are so comfortable. My feet feel supported and good all day.

Easily the most comfortable shoes I have worn. I would say they work best for narrow feet. I ordered a half size up according to other reviews and they fit perfectly. Feels like walking on clouds. This shoe is also very lightweight.

This shoe is very comfortable and takes very little breaking in. Well worth the price. The only draw back is trying to loosen the buckle to get the shoes off. I still have not figured it out!

I have discovered Ahnu! The shoes area bit wide at the toes, but I need that. So happy with them I ordered a pair of Ahnu hikers (Sequoia) too. Love 'em.

Best walking shoes I've ever owned! I bought these for a trip to Dublin. I knew I'd be walking all day every day on sidewalks and cobblestones, and that I needed traction for rain. These shoes really delivered - they're cushy but very supportive and gave great traction, even on wet stone. The style is a little clunky, but the comfort makes them worth it.

I got these to be walking shoes for a trip to India. I loved them. I'd gotten a half size larger than I normally wear, and I was not sorry. My feet swelled on the plane and the shoes were still comfortable. I walked all day and they were still comfortable. I slipped them off and on visiting mosques and temples the whole time, and they totally stood up. They also look very cute, even a half size bigger, with pants and skirts. I can't wait until the winter's over in Chicago so I can wear them again.

Great shoes. I ordered and received them just days before a trip where I knew I'd be walking a lot. Be aware they run large. From other reviews, I thought that wasn't the case so I ordered one size larger. Wrong! They were huge! Reordered my regular size and they were almost perfect. A bit wide in that they were perfect with socks but somewhat loose without. And they also stretch a little as they are worn. However, they were comfortable from the first wearing and took me through every day, all day long. Not one irritation, blister, annoyance at all. Very happy! A little dorky looking but still cute. Worn with jeans, shorts, a skirt. A note about Zappos. Ordered the first pair on Sunday for a Saturday trip. I was given upgraded shipping (free) and they arrived Tuesday. Oh no! Too big! Ordered another pair on Tuesday, keeping fingers crossed. Upgraded shipping again and they arrived Thursday, in time for my trip. Terrific!

I am very pleased with how comfortable this shoe is. I bought them to wear while on a surgical mission in Vietnam - which means long days in the operating room standing on cement floors. I thinks these are going to be great!

I love these shoes! I bought a pair in black and wine and love them both! I walk a lot during the day and mostly on cement. My feet were taking a serious beating. These shoes made all the difference. Highly recommended!

I loved the look of the shoe; however, I had to return it because it was a little crowded in the toe box. I felt that a larger size would not have solved the problem and would have been too big in other places. It is a great looking shoe, and was comfortable to the foot, but the toe box felt a little crowded.

I love these shoes. The sole insert is one of the best I have ever owned. Lots of cushion, especially if you have to walk on concrete all day.

Just got these and they are a half size too small and they are rubbing on the bony part of the top of my foot just behind my big toe. I hope it is because they are small, and I am ordering the 9.5, (which I do wear in some shoes) hoping they will fit okay because they are comfy and look great.

Great shoes. I have the world's most painful feet. Tried Mephisto, Clarks, Ryka, you name it. Ahnu's have the least irritating and best cushioned liner I've ever worn. Pounded the pavement in NYC for 4 days. These shoes saved me!

My friends here in Wyoming compliment these shoes constantly. They look good with everything, jeans & skirts. Your basic combat to cocktails footwear. I have a bunion on one foot and stiff arch-support orthotics from a podiatrist. These shoes accommodate both. They have been comfortable since the moment I tried them on. Wear with or without socks. I've ordered a second pair.

My husband bought these for me in a size 9 (I usually wear 8.5). They were perfect! I wore them all over Portugal with & without socks without a blister or a single problem. After the trans-Atlantic flight home, I could still get my puffy feet in them. So glad I didn't buy them myself because I would have ordered a size 8.5 & regretted it.

These shoes are ideal for me. I'm a teacher who is on my feet all day and frequently running around on our 40 acre campus. They are easy to get on and off quickly.
