Bliss! The amethyst color is amazing... I usually don't like Frye boots...don't get me wrong, the quality is exceptional, but they usually are TOO HEAVY for my feet...These are DIFFERENT...SOFT LEATHER, CUSHY FOOT BED...AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE TO WALK IN...You can wear them RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX and they will fell like OLE' FRIENDS! TRUE TO SIZE...One and one only con----minor though, I agree with the previous reviewer, they are a little slippery, especially on carpet due to the leather sole...rubber would have made these PERFECTION!

I ordered these boots at 4:30pm yesterday and received them today! I couldn't believe they arrived that fast. I got these boots in the Smoke color. I love them!! It is a beautiful brown and they look perfectly worn in. I have these boots in tall in the Gray color. The leather on those looks more pebbled, and the Smoke is a smooth leather. I have the tall in a size 8, but read some of the reviews on here saying over time the leather would stretch out a little. I got these in a 7.5 and they fit great! I honestly can't afford these boots, but they are so awesome! I have to keep them! :)

Nice boot, x-wide leg, not really the grey you see. I wanted 'real' grey and all the bootmakers are showing this color and sending a taupe color. if you like taupe, its a beautiful taupe. The heel feels nice on my 58yr old feet. I am 5'1 and 130lbs. my legs seem average (13"near the calf, or less) and these probably are about 14 or 15 at the top. Also not a fan of scraped toes but I am old fashioned.. I like my boots to look 'new!' Width is not narrow, they fit with room for socks; I like my width average or not narrow. Overall they are beauties and worthy of Frye name!

Love them! Would wear them every day if I could and most days do! Perfect fit - beautiful boot. Lovely!

These boots are so fun! Great to wear with skinny jeans. I had no problem tucking in the pants. I stand all day for my job and they are comfortable to stand in. I wear them with no sock. I bought a size 5.5, they felt true to size.

Absolutely wonderful boot! Like butter on the first day. No blisters, no bruising, no issues!

I just got these boots a few days ago, just in time for Christmas! I have the sand color and love them. They are comfortable, they go with everything and I have gotten so many compliments on them! They are well worth the money. The shaft is wide, but I like it; you can easily wear skinny jeans or leggings tucked in or wear bootcut jeans over them. And thanks to Zappos, I got them in a very timely fashion!

Love Frye boots, very well made and a good fit. These boots look great with tights or leggings and I always get compliments whenever I wear them.

These boots are the best! The shaft is the perfect height because my calves are very big and I can't fit into taller boots, but these are very roomy. The heel height is great, too; perfect for going out shopping or out at night. Need to be broken in a bit (like any good pair of boots), but after they are very comfy.

At the end of my first day wearing the boots, the backs of my heels felt like they were going to blister. They never did, but I put band-aids on my heels the next day just in case. The second day of wearing them they felt fine and I proceeded to wear them 4 days straight. I guess they just needed to be broken in. The burnt red is a tad darker than the picture, but they still look great. I really like the worn in look on the toe and heel. I haven't worn red boots since I was a kid, so I was a little hesitant at first, but they go with everything. They almost act like a neutral. I wear slim straight jeans over my boots and I don't have the problem of the shaft showing under the pant leg.

I have never owned cowboy style boots before, but these are great! They have excellent padding in the footbed, are very easy to pull on, and are wide enough in the shaft that they can accommodate those of us with larger legs and still leave a little wiggle room. The leather is beautiful and perfectly worn, and still be flexible. If you are on the fence about these, do not hesitate. They are well worth the money. Beware of trying them on while on carpet because they are quite slick when they are new.

Received my Burnt Red Frye boots next day and love the color and style. I did order a 1/2 size up because I do also have them in brown from about a year ago and they were very uncomfortable to put on and take off, so I decided to go up. Glad I did. They fit much better and are more comfortable. The color is not bright red; it is more subtle and does have the darker shade on toe and heel which looks great. I already put on my Frye wax to protect them and have worn them twice this week and even though they're on the expensive side, I hope they will last a long time. Thanks once again Zappos for a quick and easy delivery.

My favorite boot. I got it in gray, which is a bit more tan than shown in the photo. Comfortable for hours, right out of the box. Nice heel height, a bit dressy without at all being difficult to walk in, very comfortable foot bed with arch support, substantial leather that manages to be soft and comfortable too. Looks great with full swingy skirts. I like them so much I'm ordering another pair in tall black.

This boot was comfortable right from the start, unlike my other Frye's I felt the break in would not be needed. These boots do not work with a slim bootcut jean, you would need a very wide leg to wear jeans over these boots. The slip on style is very easy using the side loops. The gray is really a brown gray, not a light gray at all.

I feel seriously sassy when I wear these boots. The gray is a gorgeous color. I usually wear a 10 and a 10 fits comfortably with a pair of socks. I am on my feet for a good part of my workdays and these are surprisingly comfortable!

I got the tan & the color is true to the picture. I usually go down a 1/2size in Frye, but stayed with my true size of 7 1/2 with these & they fit great. The do not seem too heavy, but think they will hold up for a long time. Another hit from Frye.

These are absolutely wonderful! They are a bit stiff and I do need to wear a thicker sock with them, but they fit well, look great and they have become a new fall/winter favorite in our temperate weather!

I love this boot! I have wide feet but can seldom find what I like in a wide. For that reason, I just bought a half size up and they fit great. They are very comfortable! I bought the Frye weatherproof cream so I can keep them nice. They are very well made and look just like they did in the video.

I originally ordered the Tall Frye Carmen Harness and after having a few issues I contacted Zappos and they were amazing! I exchanged them for the Frye Short and they have been perfect. The color is an amazing Taupe gray and they are superbly comfortable. I would buy another pair in an instant! Zappos has amazing customer service which will help me come back for more shoes! Thank you Zappos.

This is my second color of the Carmen Harness Short. Tried several other boots, looking for something different in a brown pair, but came back to this one--none of the others could compare for comfort and versatility. Feels great from the start, and will last for years. Worth every penny!

Great looking boot! Very cute, the heel is higher than I expected from the picture. Definitely size up. I ordered a half size bigger than my usual Frye size, and it still feels tight and narrow in the toe.

These boots are fantastic! They are superbly comfortable. I'm in love with them and wish I could get away with wearing them every day.

I absolutely adore these boots! It wasn't easy to convince myself to buy them because I typically don't spend this much on boots, but I knew Frye was a high quality brand so I decided to go for it. At first I tried the gray ones, but did not really like the way the color looked on me. I exchanged them for the dark brown waxed suede and it was love at first sight when I opened the box. I'm petite, with small feet and runner's calves, so finding boots is hard for me. These are loose enough in the shaft to wear over skinny jeans with room to spare. You have no idea how exciting that is for me! The shoe portion is true to size, but you may want to go up a half size if you plan to wear heavy socks. These have a lower heel than I typically wear, but it's enough to add some height and still be comfortable for walking and standing. The style is classic and the workmanship is amazing. Even though they cost a lot of money, I am thrilled with my purchase.
