I’ve been wearing same pair for several years and they are by far my go to shoes for hikes of 5 miles or less. I prefer hiking boots for longer hikes or when I need more ankle support. I like Scarpa shoes as well. Zappos is the best for service!

I've hiked/backpacked/climbed/ran somewhere between 750-1000 miles (some hikes were ad libbed or untracked) on all terrains from the AT to Alaska in these shoes and they just won't quit. They have ripped, worn almost all the way through on the bottom, and have been generally abused for going on 2 years and remain a steady performer. I recommend them every chance I get and they deserve a true viking funeral when I do decide to move on.

I love La Sportiva products, very durable. I bought them for hubby, who is a monster with footwear, and this brand has shown to be very good quality.

For a shoe that's all mesh with aggressive soles, you'd expect them to be super breathable, comfortable, and grippy on rough trail. And they are. But what you wouldn't expect is for these to be so incredibly durable. I put over 1000 miles on a pair of these hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, and didn't feel they were super worn down until the last 200 or so. Will continue buying a new pair of these as needed until I can't hike anymore.

I bought a half-size larger than my size. The right shoe is a great fit, and the other is a little snug but not discomforting. Overall, a great shoe: good-looking, low-key style; sturdy construction; lightweight; breathable. I'm happy I got them.

Great shoe. I'm a hiker and a walker. Solid support and breathability. Grippy sole is great on rocks and wet surfaces but be forewarned, the sole wears down fast because of this. Was wearing them as my everyday shoe- good at the office, gym and walking the neighborhood but just bought my third pair and decided to save them for hikes and rainy days so they'd last longer. Bought another brand for everyday.

I used these to hike the entire PCT, lots of other hikes, three trips around the world, and am now using them to hike the CDT. Tough, plenty light for their level of durability, a good amount of room in the toe box without being too roomy for my feet. My only fear is that one day they will change or be discontinued. In the meantime, I'll keep buying them, I've owned at least 15 pairs so far.

Had to move up half a size over my running shoes, but these shoes are worth it. Great sole and awesome fit!

I'm a 53 year old that enjoys hiking, trail running and participates in Spartan Races. As such I've bought my share of trail shoes over the years. Genetically, I have hard feet to fit - flat feet with bunions - so finding a quality shoe that fits can be challenging. These were ready to roll out of the box. I've been on several hikes/runs and it's nice to finish without sore feet, ankles, knees etc. Lots of support and plenty of traction and a decent price. I will be buying again, so please DON'T CHANGE A THING!

These are comfortable and stable shoes. Even though these are categorized as mountain running shoes, I have been wearing these for trail running and around town. Good overall support. Following other reviews I went with half a size larger than my standard 9.5M. 10M fits fine for this shoe.

This was my first pair of La Sportiva shoes. I have been a longtime Merrell fan and I won't say anything bad about Merrell shoes, but the La Sportiva Wildcat is amazing. I have worn just about every kind/brand of well made shoe on the market, and I haven't found one that comes close to the comfort of the Wildcat. It's like you have a cloud strapped to your feet. Plenty of toe room and support, while still maintaining the most comfort you will ever put on your feet.
The shoes are made well and have excellent Traction/grip. They are now my everyday shoe.
If you want the most comfortable shoe anywhere...get the Wildcat. A-freaking-mazing.

Just what I wanted. These puppies fit just right and feel great on the trail. I use them for hiking, trail work and everyday getting around. They fit right, grip well and do the job.

Great shoe. About one month in used as a daily shoe. I do a lot of walking with my job and this shoe is excellent. My feet are not too tired at the end of the day. I purchased from a recommendation from a friend who hiked both the AT and the PCT. So if it could handle those hikes, it can probably handle yours.

The outsole is fairly stiff, and the tread gives great traction. The cushioning is definitely on the firm side. This makes the Wildcats great for mountain running where there are lots of steep ups and downs. Not really made for streets or flat trails. Really solid, stable mountain running shoe.

Haven't ever actually been able to wear these, reason I have monster sized feet. However I have plenty of friends who have worn them and gone on forever about how great they are. Only wish the investment would be made for slightly larger foot sized people like myself. Otherwise I really love everything about how the shoe is made and will continue to recommend it to hikers at our retail establishment along the PCT for thru hiker season. From the perspective of a former PCT hiker and future TA hiker, to new generations of thru-hikers, it goes a long way. However, it would be nice to say that I have actually used them as well

This is my 3rd pair and hope they will always manufacture this shoe. I'm not the killer athletic runner but an overweight person that just pounds away at hiking each weekend. This shoe has been on long treks down to Havasupai and up to the top of 11,000+ foot mountain peaks. It goes in sand, dirt, gravel, rocks, water, and pavement just fine. I put about 10 miles a week hiking on the rugged terrain of the Rocky Mountains. I love how this thing grips on the smooth glacier scraped rocks yet handles the abuse of sharp granite. If you have to cross a stream it will dry very fast. My feet never seem to get sweaty. I'm very happy with this shoe and will continue to purchase it until it's discontinued.

Here run very narrow, so make sure to take note. Extremely comfortable on my feet. Love this brand of shoe. These are my third La Sportiva shoe/hiking boot.
