I've had this version of boot for over five years. Since the Washington D.C. area only occasionally gets snow, my boots have been used very little, they look like new. This winter, we received over 20 inches of snow in one storm. Lots of snow to shovel. I get out my Columbia Bugaboots (which are stored in a bedroom closet) and do my share of shoveling. After coming inside, I discover that my left boot has cracked in about three places around the rubber. They appear to have dry-rotted. I am very disappointed with the little bit of use I got from these boots. They should have lasted me the rest of my life. They were probably worn 10-12 times during the time I had them. Looking for another brand.

I was so excited when I ordered these boots. I work outside on the frozen concrete and was so looking forward to having warm feet. I was thrilled to get a name brand boot rather than a WalMart item. They are nice looking but I wore them one full day at work and my feet hurt so bad I wanted to cry. They rubbed my calves raw, the bottoms of my feet really hurt for 4 days afterward. My feet hurt so bad it woke me up in the night while I was sleeping. After a week I tried them again. I spent too much money to toss them out. I wore them today for about 3 hours. It was horrible. It is 14 degrees out and I would rather freeze than wear those boots.
