Hugs in all the right places! This dress has a beautiful fit. Its style is very versatile. It's very easy to wear and is comfortable for an evening out, a party with the right accessories, or just for simply going around town. It's also excellent as a travel dress, virtually wrinkle-free and low maintenance. Dries quickly, too.

This is a great dress - comfortable and flattering. I was worried about the fabric (which is the same as they make climbing tights out of), but it turned out to be my favorite part. I have a very muscular back and shoulders and dresses are often too tight, but the fabric on this dress stretches very easily without bunching and looks great!

Fits great - I have size XL and usually wear a size 12-14. Great swimsuit-like fabric, flattering and covers the bust area well (always a problem for me with dresses).

I was going to a wedding in 3 days and didn't have a dress and no time to shop at the malls. After reading other Zappos customers' reviews, I bought the black version of this dress. It was the first time I bought a dress online without trying it on first and I was nervous about it fitting. The next-day delivery was a God send. I received it in plenty enough time. The dress looked and fit exactly as described by the other reviews. I love the length (below the knee) and the neckline. For a Fall weather evening wedding reception, I wore a persimmon-colored shawl wrapped around my shoulders, and the look was perfect. I paired the dress with shoes from Zappos (Nina Paladin SKU: #743662). I'll also be able to use the dress for evening events in the summer. Thank you, Zappos for coming through for me.

I have broader shoulders and a smaller chest, and the torso and gathering at the bust of this dress is extremely flattering to these features. The fabric is also comfortable, and I love that Patagonia has a fabric recycling program. My one complaint revolves around the skirt portion -- the top and bottom of the dress seemed mismatched. The skirt is a wide A-line, and was very unattractive on my straight/small-hips figure. Because I liked the fabric and cut of the dress so much, I took it to a tailor who brought in the skirt to more reasonable proportions -- a lot of fabric was cut off! An added cost that I wish I hadn't needed, but the fabric wears and washes nicely and wrinkles are easily smoothed. I plan to wear this dress regularly. If your figure is curvier or pear-shaped, this dress may be a perfect match. However, if you have a narrow frame like me, you may want to budget for tailoring expenses.

First I want to say that I had ordered a different dress that didn't suit me. I had a "seamless" experience exchanging it for this one. I love the fabric and style of this dress. It is very flattering. After reading reviews I ordered the size L, normally I would wear a M. I am fine with the large, but am curious how a M would fit. I am debating whether to order a M to try both sizes. I have not worn the dress yet, other than to try it on. I was planning on wearing it to our Christmas party, but feel like it's a little long. I'm 5'6" and don't like hiding my legs. I am keeping it because I'm going to the desert next month and want to have a good traveling dress, fabric wise. Overall, I'm happy with it, and figure the length will grow on me!

I bought this in three colors. I like the length. It is to my midcalf (I'm 5'6") and I can pull my legs up under it when reading. The material is thick like an outdoor fabric with a little shine so it falls on the line between casual outdoor dress and semi-dress up events. The weight is more fall and spring, but the sleeveless bodice is more summer. It can be worn all seasons with thin hose (fabric clings to thicker tights) and a sweater jacket. I am a size 12-14 with a 38c bust and I returned the larges for x-larges and gained a little more drape since the fabric is somewhat unforgiving of fat rolls. The large also made the bust more if a focal point than I wanted. Overall, I like the dress, but more for everyday comfort wear than as a party or church dress.

Cute! The fit on this dress is very close. So if you have a little extra padding, the dress will look better with an undergarment that holds you in. I'm not so sure that ordering a size up will cure that.

I really like this dress. It is comfortable and very flattering even that fabric is synthetic. I am size M but this dress was way to tight for me so I ordered another one in L. Fit in L was better. One negative is that in the hips it is little bit too large, but I can live with it.

Perfect Dress - This is the perfect dress in almost every way. It has a lovely drape--elegant, not clingy. I am a bit bottom-heavy, but the twisted bodice brings a bit of oomph upstairs to balance things out. It launders beautifully and won't change its shape. It is easy to dress up for work and looks great with flip flops for everyday lounging. The fabric is soft but substantial. The only problem is that the stitching seems to be a bit loose; already two areas are broken with whisps of thread coming out from the seam. I must say I bought two--one in cocoa and one in black. It was the brown dress that had a stitching issue. The black dress is fine.

The black dress - This is the little black dress (they say every woman should have). You can dress it up and down, good for every occasion.

Great dress if it fits you! After reading other reviews, I now think this style works best if you don't have an hour-glass figure. I do -- the medium was too tight on top and shoulders (I'm a broad-shouldered 32D or 34C), but the large was too big everywhere else and looked dumpy. Too bad, it's a super style -- no wonder so many reviewers love it.

Great dress for older woman with reservations - This is a great dress discovery for me, an athletic 65-yr-old...I love the fabric and freedom to throw on and go. I just got a few other styles of same fabric and find this dress is less forgiving of the older figure...something about the cut spotlighting the middle... have to wear Spanx undergarment for first time to achieve a smooth line...the shirt is somewhat too generous if you are slim in this area... I still wear it, but I much prefer the other Patagonia dress styles in similar fabric. My dream Patagonia dress would be a style with cap sleeves for the older arm. After all this... I feel I will order my favorites in several colors and ditch much of my closet as too fussy and high maintenance. You can travel with a few of these, some light wrap tops for night and be done with it. Yeah!!!!

Great black dress - The weight of the fabric is medium/light, not heavy by any means, just not super light. The cut is lovely -- the v-neck looks great and is low, but not too low. I usually wear a size 8 or 10 on top, 34C or 32D, and my shoulders are wide and muscular. The top of this dress in size M was too tight -- wearable, but not comfortable. Too bad, it would be super for travel, very flexible.

This dress is very comfortable and hugs just the right places. I normally wear a sm (I'm 5'4'' with some curves) and even though some of the other reviews say this dress runs sm, I still ordered a sm and it fits great. I agree with another reviewer in that for me, the dress is a little too long. I'm going to have mine hemmed so that it hits just at the knee. The knot front isn't too revealing either and it fits great. I love the fabric too, very durable, yet looks great. I only gave it 4 out of 5 because I have to get it hemmed but that is just my preference.

Love the twist - I have this style in a few shirts, now the dress too. It's very flattering, comfortable and still stylish. I found the length odd for me but once I had it shortened (about 9 inches!) It looked much better. I like it to hit just above the knee, not at the largest part of the calf. Great with either flip flops to the pool or sandals for out to dinner.

The fabric of this dress clings to every curve and unfortunately every bump and bulge. It would be a great dress for anyone that has a flat stomach and firm hips. If you have tummy or hip issues and unless you want to wear spanx underneath it, then don\'t order this dress.

Vibrant color, and easy wash and wear fabric. Fits close to the body in the back, and does not hide unsightly bra bulge.

I returned the dress because I didn\'t end up liking the way the material felt, just a personal thing. It definitely runs long, if I kept it I would have had it shortened at least to the knee. Nice dark red color. Zappos service was exceptional, ordered 7pm and it was on my doorstep the next day!

Great dress but... The reason I can't give this dress 5 stars is it runs small in size. Normally I wear a small, so I ordered a small, it is an extra small in size. Great material, nice color but I am sending it to my daughter who is extra small!

Can you say Sausage Girl? I got this dress in an XL to give myself a little room since Patagonia garments tend to run a little small on me. But XL on me fit more like an M on me. This is going back.

Great cut, strange fabric. This dress fits great and is well made, but the shiny, synthetic, bathing suit-like fabric makes it too sporty and cheap looking for the elegant cut of this dress. Also, this dress would look best on slightly taller women, since it is rather long. Like all Patagonia clothing, it really does perform well, you can do a full lunge comfortably in this dress, but the fabric is too high tech and shiny for my taste.

This dress would be a great travel dress. It is almost like swimsuit fabric and it, sadly, fits very closely, which does not work on a mature figure with a little adipose as all lumps and bumps are revealed. I would concur that it runs a bit small. XL usually fits me fine. If you have no fat, it would be very flattering.

Patagonia Bandha Dress - Disappointed - This dress ran small and was a much heavier weight fabric than I expected it to be. I thought about returning it and decided to keep it because I can always use another comfortable black dress. I just don't think this will become a favorite. It feels like a much cheaper fabric than I expected. The cut is cute, but the look of the dress I expected it to be a silkier fabric. This is a heavier fabric, so it doesn't hang on me the way it looks in the picture. It also is a much tighter fit than what I expected.
