AWESOME BOOTS! I bought these boots as a gift for my boyfriend for when we go disc golfing or just general kicking around in cold or wet weather. He has very flat arches and often gets sore feet. I was thrilled that he LOVES these boots. He wears them sometimes all day. When we go out into cold weather he says his feet are always toasty warm and dry. SUCCESS! Definitely go a half-size up. I used the customer service and other customer reviews to select this boot. I couldn't be happier. The shipping is fast and when I exchanged for a half size up the return and re-shipment was very quick.

Columbia (Package Ridge Mid Omni-Tech) This is my second paid of these Columbia's. I have been in Iraq and Afghanistan for 3 years now and these boots have been a life saver for not only me but for the guys I work with. We all have these boots. So lasting 3 years in the harsh environments we have been working, words can not measure the satisfaction we have with this product. Thanks

Comfortable from day one. I wear these to work where I'm on my feet all day. Tried running and training shoes but just couldn't enough support. Very happy with fit and support.

Columbia is Quality - I had a pair of Columbia hikes like this before and they lasted about two-and-a-half years. Great product for the money!! I wear them for work five days a week. Better than Red Wings Shoes.

My new favorite boot - I wear a size 16D and live in Alaska. These boots are very comfortable and have kept me warm and dry this winter even after walking through ice melt puddles with water up to the laces. I've been wearing them all day at work and on long hikes without any moisture build up. I'm really very pleased.

This is a really great looking pair of shoes. I usually take them with me on vacation to the Caribbean and Central America as I consider it a “summer” or warm climate shoe. It looks great with a linen suit or linen pants and a Hawaiian shirt. However, I do want to mention a few things. I wear a size 10D. I found the size 10D to be a little large. Almost as if it was a 10.5, but the shoe does say 10D. So you may consider ordering a half size smaller. I kept mine because I also found the inside sole padding to be on the hard side. So I got a set of Dr. Scholls gel inserts and fit them in both shoes. The fit is now much better and I get the added comfort of a softer sole. In summary, I’m pretty happy with them. Everyone comments on how nice they look. I just hope I don’t spill red wine on them...

Perfect for me - A very good traditional trail boot. Fit was perfect right out of the box, like a glove in fact. Apart from the fairly stiff, slight rocker sole, they felt almost like hi-top sneakers. Roomy toe box, good heel fit. Inner sole is a little hard. Have a pair of Spenco gels in them pending my Superfeet order. Will be doing some rocky trail hiking above the Hudson soon, no doubt these will do fine.

Great Value - True to size shoe. Feels great even on longer days of walking or standing.

Great Boot! First, this boot looks good. Putting them on was like slipping into a pair of comfy old sneakers. Next week I'm touring Berlin, so we'll see how it goes. I have worn size 15 since I was in high school. The past year or so I noticed some 15's were not fitting right. I thought I had a problem with width, but it was the size. So I measured my foot width and length and to my surprise I need size 16. Columbia has been great supplying my size. And Zappos sells my size in a wide variety of styles. My order took only 2 days to reach me! I am overseas at an APO address and that is incredibly fast. I will return to Zappos for all my shoes. So far, I highly recommend this boot and this website.

Just wore it in my living room, returning it. Felt a) shoe very soft, more like running shoe than boot; b) fabric loop as key ankle eyelet would not last long. For casual hiking, probably a great shoe, but I wanted a little more.

Everyday wear - I really like the boots, but the only problem I can point out is the fact that the shoes laces don't stay tied unless you double tie them. I thought in this day and age we would have figured out how to make laces that don't come untied. Other than that, it is worth the money.

Good shoe, great experience - Great pair of boots... look and feel great. I was worried about the warmth for colder climates (mid-west winters), but so far it has not been an issue. Plus, my feet have stayed dried, but my ordering experience was truly great. I ordered the boots and was notified later that day that they had already shipped. Within 2 days I had them. I will definitely be ordering from Zappos again.

I bought these boots for work as I'm on my feet 8 hours per day and need something that is comfortable. I've purchased two different pairs of Columbia boots in the past and have been very happy with them. Unfortunately, shortly after ordering the Packus Ridge model, I changed jobs and never had the need to wear these on a daily basis. While they are a comfortable boot right out of the box, I can't comment on their extended wear comfort. The one issue I have with the boot is that the leather is much lighter than what is pictured on the website. I may spray them with waterproof just to darken them up a shade, but overall, a very good boot for the money.

Maybe not a "D"- I purchased partly because I've had Columbias before and liked them. I've worn 12D for over 40 years, these did not feel like a "D' width. The insole felt too thin, I could feel the lugs of the sole through the insole with every step. Did a lot of searching, greatly disappointed. Returned them after walking around the house a couple of different days.

I purchased these for my son and they fit true to size. His foot is wider than average, so they were slightly snug in width (too bad I couldn't get a wide width). He wore them a couple times and loves the support. I had to talk him into this style for his activites (hiking, disc golf, walking in rugged terrain) and he thanked me for doing so. I gave these 3 stars for style because I thought they were sharp, but my son didn't. Love the light weight for traveling.

I have to say this boot fit perfect. They feel comfortable and stable. Through the years I have bought several different styles and brands of boots, never Columbia. I am very impressed by the wear of this boot and plan to buy a 2nd pair.

The shoes fit well and are comfortable. I use them for work and play. The only main problem I have with them is that they eat shoestrings. The shoestring holder clips are too close to the shoe and its really hard to get them to engage the string. From past experience I found I can't bend them out or they will break. These shoestrings have lasted only about a month then they broke. I'm on my second set of strings.

This boot runs small but if you ignore the numbers and get the size that fits best, it's a great tough boot. Recommend for backpacking and rough, rocky trails. The grip is spiderman-like and the wide cleats clear mud quickly. It's a but too much shoe for mild flat trails. Definitely not for running and a little heavier than ideal for mountaineering. My size 11D weighs 1 lb 8 oz. On long steep climbs (say 1000 ft per mile) I sure wish they were 4 oz. lighter, but they make up for it in super support and rocky trails. Now that they're discontinued, you could do worse at twice the price.

I chose these Columbia boots over the other Columbia boots I have had for over 5 years hoping they would be just as comfortable. They are just as comfortable. They tend to get very hot in warm weater. Out side of that they fit well, have great support and keep you feet dry. The soal has tracktion on wet and muddy ground as well as most rock sufaces.

These boots are super lightweight and look like they'd work great for hot environments. They run skinny. I had to return my EE's as they were not wide enough.

Toebox may run a little narrow but overall these boots are very comfortable right out of the box. Feel more like basketball shoes than boots.

Ordered the wide width shoe because my feet are wide. When I received the shoe they were marked wide yet looked and felt like a narrow width shoe. Disappointing.

Style is great but the shoe is a little more narrow than I thought. Still a good buy.
