Like slippers - Really, these boots are like slippers. I've had them for one year, and they've broken in very nicely. I'm always amazed at how comfortable they are in comparison to other boots. In terms of warmth, they are great when worn with a thick pair of socks. They stay cool when you're indoors, though, which is nice. I live in Toronto, where they get a lot of exposure to snow and rain, and they've remained completely waterproof. One note in terms of winter weather--they hardly have any grip. I do occasionally slide around on ice in them. As far as winter boots go, they are very cute. Kind of elf-like in terms of the turned-up toe and stitching. My only complaint is that the strap on the back is a little strange-looking. Overall, a great winter boot.

Comfortable and Elfin - I love these boots and they're not like everyone else's UGG'S! Lined with wool, they're warm and they look sort of elfin (if that's possible for a size 10). They're true to size, have good support and I have bunions and they're STILL comfortable. Go for them.

Beautiful and really cool looking boots, comfortable too, and although I can see how the velcro could catch on to pants and be problematic that way it did not make it hard to get the boots on for me. The only problem is that they actually are true to size and only go to 11, I'm a 12. I really wanted them to work but the foot is too short for my long toes, sad sad to send them back.

Shoe of my dreams - It was love at first sight! As soon as I saw the picture of them-I knew I had to have them! When the boots arrived they proved to be everything I thought they would be- warm, comfy, stylish, they fit perfectly on my feet; I didn't want to take them off! I have several Keen boots- I’m a big fan. They are the most comfortable shoes EVER! I highly recommend them.

Comfortable & stylish boots - I bought this boot in the army green color and I love it. I originally ordered the brown, but returned them because I didn't like the look of the brown leather and I have so many brown boots. These are so comfortable and warm and very cute to wear with skirts or pants. I wish they fit a bit closer to my leg, but I have thin legs so most boots are big on my legs.

I love these boots. I hope and pray that Keen will keep making these boots without changing the last because once mine wear out; I'll have to buy another pair! The velcro thing is ok, not the best, but the upside is that you can velcro them for a tighter fit or leave it unvelcroed for a looser fit depending on your mood. I needed to put superfeet in mine for more support. They're not full on warm winter boots, but they're still great for cold temperatures. The soles are thinner than others, which I really appreciate since I like to feel the ground a little more with my feet rather than feel as though I'm about to go backpacking with thick soles. Plenty of toe box room without feeling as though you're swimming. A very versatile shoe for skirts/pants with a nice height.

These boots are like moccasins, very comfy. I wore them for 8hrs and was on my feet the entire 8hrs. The boot felt great for the most of the time, but I feel that I should have had a little more support for a long stint on my feet. The boot is very cute and feels good. I will enjoy wearing them this winter.

Quite possibly the most comfortable purchase I've ever made - I bought these boots in anticipation of trips to San Francisco in the fall and England in November. They just arrived. As a few commenters mentioned, the boots are difficult to put on, but Sweet Mother of Gumby, once they're on they are The Most Comfortable Boots Ever Made In The History Of History. They have great arch support and I anticipate that I'll be able to walk all over both cities all day every day and never get tired. I hate that I can't wear them until then - July here in Houston is hardly the time or place for warm comfy boots! I generally wear an 8.5 or a 9 - I purchased a 9 just in case and they fit like a glove. If in doubt, order up. A truly wonderful boot.

Pretty good! Love 'em... wore them on a ski trip to Jackson Hole where I did tons of walking, and I wear them all over town at home. Ottawa got tons of snow this winter, and I was surprised at how well these held up. Great for walking, comfortable, warm, nice and sleek. My only complaint is the velcro closure... it's held up o.k. so far, but I whish they'd used something other than velcro (it can catch on tights and leave marks on the fabric... and it's a bit of a pain in general). Almost perfect!

Want more colors - I was absolutely thrilled with my first experience with Zappos. I'd never heard the name and just happened to fall into the site. I continue to have nothing but praise for the company and their products. The boots are GORGEOUS! Neat, but not gaudy. I was shocked to order the boots and have them at my door the following morning! Never have I had such service. This last bit is partly my fault, but the color is not exactly what it looked like and that I wanted. However, that just makes me have to go out and buy some new slacks! WHEEEEEEEEE !!From a very happy camper, and new devoted Zappos customer.

Keen Boot - I love these boots. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. You get what you pay for and then some.

Perfect winter boot! This boot is great for chilly winters and transition to a warmer weather. It is the best winter boot I have ever tried on! It will keep you warm without sacrificing the style or settling for puffy snow boots. It's an excellent town shoe, warm, cozy and perfectly comfortable (no need for extra thick socks!). You can wear it as a sporty boot or with a skirt, it looks cool either way!

Jackson Hole Boots - Had to get some boots for a trip to Jackson Hole, WY. I was looking for comfort, warmth and style. All three were accomplished with these boots. Although they are not really designed for extreme cold, they worked for what I needed them for - walking around town, riding in the gondola to the top of the mountain, etc. I did not expect them to be as comfortable as they are and wore them much more that I had planned.

Keen Chamonix Boot - I Love these boots. A little hard to get on and off, but I wouldn't have given it a thought if I hadn't read reviews about that. Very comfortable, and cute. I got black, and next I'm getting a brown pair. Ordered a half size bigger than usual, and they fit perfectly.

Love These Boots - The Keen boots are extremely comfortable, easy to put on, and have a great grip. I would absolutely recommend these to ANYONE.

Delightful - I just got my Keen Chamonix boots. I live in Wilmington, NC so it stays pretty warm all year. I have two pairs of tall boots that a never wear and wanted something more stylish than an Ugg, but still comfortable. These boots fit the bill. I like the stitching around the boots and the elastic band across the back of the heel. The boots are extremely comfortable. I bought a 1/2 size up (normally a 9.5-10 and I went for the 10.5) as recommended and they fit perfect. A little roomy in the ankle and calf and I have pretty good sized calves. The cut at the top of the boot is flattering as well. They hit me about mid shin and I am 5'11. The velcro doesn't serve much purpose for tightening, more just to help pull on and off the boot. I also found getting the boot on pretty easy and I have high arches. From looking at them online, I didn't think I would want to wear them with skirts or over jeans, but in person they look a lot cooler and I will wear them with skinny jeans!

Review of the Keen Chamonix Boot - I love this boot! Very attractive: a stylish, flat, sleek, perfect mid-calf-height boot with nice stitching detail. Very practical too. Chicago's 2007-08 winter snow really put these boots to the test. It is truly waterproof; even slush and salt residue doesn't show on them. Plus the fleece lining keeps feet warm, and the boots are slip resistant. I have them in black, and intend to also order them in the red or the olive. They are slightly challenging to get on and off, but not irritatingly so. (I have narrow feet, though.) They fit like a glove once they're on. I love 'em.

Love them! Love the slip-on aspect and have not had any issues getting in or out as other reviews have noted... just use the velcro. Good traction outdoors, but a little slippery on wet flooring indoors. Not especially well insulated but just a great around town, walk the dog, to the mountain kind of boot.

Excellent boot for style and comfort! I looked around a long time for a COMFORTABLE short boot that was still stylish, and this is the boot! It's great all around, no complaints! I ordered a 5 1/2 and a 6 to try on, because I tend to wear both sizes depending on the shoe and I decided to keep the size 6. So they are pretty true to size. When in doubt, order up.

As some previous posters mentioned, these boots are a bit hard to get on, but once settled in, are super comfy! They are very warm and look great. I look forward to some snow to see their true talent.

Highly recommended - These are great--very comfortable, very warm. I hardly want to take them off at the end of the day. I've had no problems with the strap or getting them on and off. Barely needed to be broken in.

Favorite boot - I fairly wept when I put these boots on - they are instantly comfortable. Like slippers! Great in the cold, snow or rain and cozy without making your feet sweat. Great with jeans or skirts. They don't have as large a toe bed as some other Keen styles so your feet don't look clown like at all. I wear mine everywhere - even biking. Buy a half size up - more if you want to wear a thick sock.

Excellent boots - Great boots, comfortable and stylish. My friends who always think I wear "funny, funky" shoes all told me that they thought these boots were very stylish. I wore them in a blizzard in Boston the day after I bought them... Warm, waterproof, look good with skirts and they fit well and I have a large calf. Some boots do not fit well on my leg. These are just great. Loved the color too. I ordered an 8.5. I usually were an 8.

Great winter boot - Wonderful boot, extremely comfortable, after I added orthodic and innersole. These are the perfect wet and mud boot, yet still look good for town. I will buy another pair soon, because I can't imagine winter without them!

I love this boot! When I first took the boots out of the box I was disappointed in the look-elf boots? But now I think they're funky and extremely comfortable! I think they look great with pants and with dresses and skirts for a casual look. I have a neuroma and these boots are comfortable all day long. I don't put my orthotics in because it is a tight squeeze to get them in and out. I am sold on Keen!
