The instant I put these on, they fit like a glove. I agree with the sizing issue- I was comfortable wearing thin socks and having these snug around my foot, so for that fit, it was a true 8.5 (I purchased 8-8.5). These are very comfortable and lightweight. I hate to see these go out of style (almost makes me want to buy a second pair to stash away!!)\r\n\r\n

LOVE these shoes! I wore the first pair quite literally all over the world for three years and finally wore them out. They took me comfortably through every Disney park in the world, climbed the Great Wall, and hiked through Alaska with aplomb. They are the most comfortable, supportive shoes I’ve ever had and they’re fantastic for travel. Unlike most of these types of shoes, they aren’t horribly wide or hideous looking either. I have the lighter color combination and it goes with anything. The cable allows you to really adjust the shoes exactly the way you like them, and there is only a very short breaking in period. I just bought my second pair!

Great Walking Shoes - I am on my second pair of these. My only concern is that the style will be discontinued in the future. They are the most comfortable walking shoes, yet at the same time they offer great support.

Good all purpose shoe - As soon as I put them on I knew I would keep them... They're really good looking (atmosphere/white), great for city or adventuring. The only complaint I have is the arch support is a little lacking...but still VERY comfortable. They not bulky or clunky like most cross trainers or all terrain shoes.

Pain free at last - I have a closet full of shoes of every kind, except high heels, and most of them hurt after a few hours wear. Not so of these. They are comfortable, flexible, and for work horse kind of shoes, not bad looking. The stretch of the laces adds to the comfort later in the day when the feet begin to show signs of swelling. My only concern is how I will replace the elastic laces when they wear out.

Wanted these so bad - I'm really disappointed. I wanted them so bad. They look cool, they're lightweight. I tried to ignore the fact that it was DIGGING into the balls of my feet. I tried it with socks and that didn't make a difference. I have to send them back. The white & green is what I got -very pretty.

Like Floating on Air - This shoe feels like you have springs under your feet. It is like walking on air. I have never had a pair of shoes that felt this good.

Happy Cross-Training - The shoe works well as a cross-trainer. Plenty of lateral support and no risk of ankle rolling. I love the fact that they don't require being double knotted - they don't even need to be tied! A definite plus in my book. I did have to loosen the elastic laces and adjust the lay of the tongue of the shoe to prevent rubbing on the higher aspect of the bridge of the foot but I wouldn't send 'em back for that. They're comfortable all the way around in my book!

Love these shoes! I have two pairs. The first pair is now one year old and still going strong. They're comfortable, supportive and very light and airy which is very important when you live in the south! I've been known to throw them in the washing machine to clean them and they clean up very well and don't seem to hurt the quality of the shoe. I highly recommend them.

I was looking for an all-purpose hiking and walking shoe. I purchased these shoes based on the great reviews of other customers and they were right. The shoes were comfortable from the start and adjust well to socks of different thicknesses - even 2 pair at once. No spots that rubbed or needed breaking in. Easy on and off at the airport. I get complimented on the look regularly. These are great shoes!

Gotta have it!!! I'm an RN and on my feet all day. I am now going through my 3rd pair of Eccos and will not switch to another shoe! I feel like I am walking on foam all day long and my feet and legs no longer ache at the end of the day. WooHooo!!! The other nurses are now wearing them and we compete on who finds the newest, cutest styles! (You can only do so much with scrubs!)

Not A Gore-Tex Shoe! This is a wonderful shoe; light and flexible. However, it is not waterproof or lined with Gore-Tex as the description would suggest. The shoe should survive a dunking, but your feet will get wet through the mesh. I had to return. I needed a waterproof shoe.

Great! shoes - I ordered my Echo shoes and received them the next day! Unbelievable service and great shoes! They are light weight and feel as though I have had them forever. I had my left foot reconstructed and I have difficulty wearing many shoes. These are the best and they feel great. I would recommend these shoes to anyone.

Buying my 2nd pair - If I could wear this shoe all the time, I would. It's so unbelievably comfortable! Plus, it slips on quickly, which is handy if you're chasing toddlers out the door. It even looks sporty-cool, but without being too flat, like a lot of similar shoes. One note: it breathes very well, which is great in hot weather (making it perhaps the perfect Disney World shoe), but no good for heavy rain or slush and snow.

Worthy of mom - I live in this shoe! It's the absolute best thing I've worn in ages. I have poor arches, but this shoe supports my feet like crazy. Plus, it's very comfortable. I wear it as slippers. Definitely buying a pair for my mom.

All around winner! Great little shoe for the gym, walking the dog, running errands. Cute and stylish, but most of all, comfortable, comfortable, comfortable. Easy to slip on and off and easy on my feet and back. I highly recommend this shoe.

I love these shoes - Maybe I am easy to please, or I have the perfect feet for these shoes, but I do not have a single complaint....and I bought 3 pair. I have to say I have narrow and slightly flat feet so the issues that other people experienced are perhaps not issues for me. They are extremely comfortable offer great support (I hike and run in them), hold up well, are cute (get lots of compliments) and the BIG bonus is the ease of getting them on and off. I travel a lot and they are perfect for removing for security.

Great Walking Shoe - I have narrow feet and the medium size 9 shoes fit perfectly right out of the box worn with lightweight socks. I walk from 3-4 miles a day on country roads and these shoes are the most comfortable I have ever worn. The lacing allows for easy on and off and the foot support is excellent.

Great walking shoe - The nice thing about this shoe is its width adjustability. Other reviewers note that it seems narrow, and initially I agreed, because one shoe rubbed against the side of my small toe. I thought I would have to return them, but I tried expanding the lacing, and the problem was immediately corrected. The laces take some getting used to, but you'll learn to love them - so easy to take off & on in airport security inspections. It's a very comfortable shoe -you just have to adjust the lacing so it fits your width.

An Ecco fan - OK, I loved my Ecco Pacific’s so much, I've worn 4 pairs of them. Decided to try these, as I am a daily walker/sometimes runner. The toe is not quite as roomy as the Pacific’s, and I initially thought I was not going to be able to get them on! There's not a fraction of an inch extra on the shoe “strings” (I have a high arch). Once I have them on, however, they are quite comfortable, and I like the support, especially for running. I would buy them again, but I would definitely go up a 1/2 size larger than I wear in the Pacific’s. I would have thought the same company's shoes would fit similarly, but the design must skew that.

Great Shoe! 5 Stars! I compared this shoe to the popular Clark's Privo and found Ecco's Ultra Terrain to be much more comfortable and versatile. I wore it for travel and could go from workout to casual wear to intense walking with some climbing. It's light-weight, yet very stable, with good support and traction...everything I was looking for in a walking/sport shoe. Looks great with jeans, black slacks, and sports wear. The neutral color is great and the dust washes right off with a wet cloth. Ecco's sizing is a bit different though. For example, I wear a size EU 37/US 7 but needed a EU 38/US 7-71/2 in this shoe since I knew that in the long run, I'd want the tiny bit of extra space when on my feet in them. I think that is a matter of how your particular foot fits the last of the shoe, and we're all different. This has become a daily favorite for walks, exercise, and even in the art classroom. For any age, it's a great look.

Cute Comfortable shoes - I really like these shoes for walking and wearing casually. They are nice because they don't have shoe laces and they are very comfortable. They have good traction on the bottom. I have been given several compliments on the style of them so I guess they look good. As for working out they are not my preference, but I have a specific brand and type that I like for aerobics and running that I have been using for a long time, so I guess I am biased on shoes for intense exercise. I would recommend these shoes to anyone who wants to try a new style and brand who wants something comfortable and cute.

My first pair of Ecco shoes! Out of the box comfort shoes! Good looking sports shoe without looking like a "clunky" sneaker. Like the toggle string closing but wish the company used a more user friendly toggle--as the toggle doesn't always stay closed. HOWEVER, still love these shoes and will look at more Ecco shoes for future purchases.
