These shoes are great! I had fake Uggs for a long time and got these as a present. I never thought that I would be able to tell the difference between real and fake Uggs... I'm very surprised. I'm still not sure it's worth the amount of money they charge, but they sure are amazingly comfy and warm. Only down side - not water or stain resistant! :( Oh - that and they are ugly... haha!

Uncomfortable... Purchased in size 8, but normally wear size 9-9.5. Found incredibly uncomfortable. No arch support whatsoever. No ankle support, either. Wanted very badly to like boots, but just didn't work out...

Not quite the same - This was my third pair of Uggs. Ordered the same size I had and when they arrived, they were almost an entire inch longer. Returned them and received the smaller size very quickly (thanks to Zappos great service). They are adequately comfortable, just not what I experienced previously. The look was fine just not the perfection I also experienced previously. Kept one of my older pairs and when I checked, I noticed the older pair was made in New Zealand and the newer pair made elsewhere.

Bare Facts - Let me break it down for you: I have Chesnut Coquette slippers, about 5 weeks old. The shearling is not holding up well at all and affects appearence. Also shearling on inside of shoe flattens quickly...sole is flexible plastic...so within a matter of weeks you are walking on fuzzy plastic. Not worth $70 to me. My aunt shipped me new Baby Pink Coquettes as a gift...they arrived dirty. Before the first slippers started to show extreme wear I bought Chesnut and Baby Pink Classic Shorts. The Pink ones arrived dirty...what is it with UGG and dirty pink shoes? The Chesnut ones seemed perfect but after wearing about 10 times all the shearling on the inside of the heel of the boot has come off...leaving the leather completely exposed. All of these shoes were made in China. I have read that UGG used to be made in Australia and New Zealand. I have also heard of people having UGGs for over 10 years....at this rate I'll be lucky to have them 10 weeks! They are cute, they are trendy... but unless you have money to burn go Payless cause from what I have found UGGs aren't worth the money or the work to find them.
I'd also recommend:

Wore them half a season, now need a new pair! These boots are really cute, but they don't wear well. I got a pair in January & by February there was a hole worn through the top of one of the boots. They are very cozy and warm, so they're worth getting. But be sure to waterproof them & don't wear socks! They wear faster if you do.

Problem with the Black Ugg - The pair of black uggs that I ordered have an issue with the dye. I tried them on in the house for just 5 minutes and the black dye ran on my feet and my ankles. I own 4 pair of the Classic Shorts and love them, but will never get another pair of black. I wish they would make the inside of the shoe natural sheepskin and just leave the outside black.

Size - Order was placed for 9 medium. Size 9 wide was received. I actually need a size 9 N. The shoe as received was absolutely too large. Great looking shoe, and I am sure that if I had received the correct size it would have been great.

I ordered chestnut UGGs 10 years ago and they were fantastic. Lasted me for 8 years and never a tear. The only thing was they eventually got stained and salted. I bought replacement boots 2 years ago and the new boots are already in pieces. The heel seam ripped from me pulling them on and off, they were a half size too small, and after a few wears, my big toe went right through the top on BOTH shoes- even with wearing socks (since you are not supposed to) and keeping nails trimmed. The quality of the chestnut boot is terrible although the color is beautiful. I am apprehensive to even order up a size in fear of my heel coming out while walking. Disappointed and glad others share my opinion.

I really wanted to like these. After living in my Emus for 4 years, I thought these would be the perfect replacement. I am a true size 8, and I tried 7 and 8 in a couple different colors. I would recommend ordering your normal shoe size because my toes hit the front seam uncomfortably in a size 7. However, the different pairs that I tried all differed a little in size and quality of the fur lining. Some had shorter, rougher fur, and some rubbed painfully on the tops of my feet after wearing them for only a couple hours in my house. I was disappointed to have to return all of them, and I will stick with my trusty Emus. I think the lining in Emus is much softer and the quality and fit is much more consistent. Uggs are way overrated unless you are 16 years old.

I have ordered UGG boots before from Zappos. However I feel that this last order I did not get the quality boot that I have gotten in the past. The fit was tight and it's as though I did not receive a authentic product! I would not recommend buying these boots. I have a closet full of uggs and not one pair looks or feels like this one. I may have been scammed, maybe not intentional but they are not the same quality as my others.

After owning these boots for 41 days the back seam of my right boot ruptured as I was putting it on! I am very sad as I love these boots immensely and wonder why I have never bought a pair before! They fit well, are very comfortable, have nice arch support and appeared very sturdy. I'm not sure if I would replace these with another pair of Uggs, I haven't made up my mind yet.

Do not order a size down. While that may have been necessary for the Uggs of the past, it is not true for these. They are not the same as they used to be!

I've been an Ugg fan for 5 years and own 5 pairs (which isn't too excessive - 1 per year!), but I was extremely disappointed when I recently (November 2011) ordered a pair of black Classic Short (Women's) to replace my very first pair and found that the fur layer (well wool really) was way thinner than any of my other pairs. The wool was only about half the thickness. The boots didn't have the same level of cushioning or comfort as the ones purchased in previous years, and I am not optimistic that they would hold up well with daily wear. It's possible that Ugg may have fallen prey to cost-cutting by using thinner pelts? I'm very disappointed.

Beware if you have larger feet: I wear about a size 10, and I found that the proportions of this boot are all wrong. The size 10 footbed is longer than the boot is high, so it just looks "off." I'm returning these for the tall boot instead. Hooray to Zappos for making returns/exchanges quick 'n easy!

Shoe lasted three months before hole appeared on toe. This is the second time this happened, but with a different ugg boot.

Made my feet and toes black from dyed shearling! Hate to return, but must, can't stand the dye on my feet and didn't even get the boots wet!

I bought these in 2009 and loved them, until yesterday when I was putting them on and my finger went clear through the shaft of the boot. I do not have long or fake nails and I was gently pulling them on and still they ripped. Big ole hole! I'm going to write Ugg and complain. Uggs are supposed to last forever!

They are making them more narrow & shorter in the foot now. Pairs I had in previous years fit much better.

After already having a pair of Uggs I took them out of the packaging and wore them as I was sure the fit would be right. However, without socks I found them to be tight. I'm disappointed.

Alas, UGGs are no longer the quality product they once were. Gone is the thick, rich wool interior, replaced by something that feels scratchy and fake. What a disappointment! I have been a faithful wearer for over 20 years. No more.

Why is Ugg making the leg part of this boot so narrow now? I could barely get my foot into the boot! Also if we want to tuck our pants in there is no room! Ugh.

We first ordered this boot in my Grandaughters normal size, size 7 and she could not get her foot in the shaft, so I returned them and ordered a size 8, same problem! The shaft on these seem narrower than years before. Now have to return the 8!

The new Uggs are smaller than last year's boot. Are they trying to save skin and charge the same price? The leg part is tighter. The toe box is smaller. I ordered the short boot in black, and they are not like the tall boot (which I have from last year) in the toe capacity, nor in the part that wraps around the leg. Smaller all the way.

My son buys me Uggs every Xmas. Every year I ask for a different color. I asked him to stop getting them for me a few years ago because the last two pairs he got for me were so narrow I never was able to put them on! I gave them to my daughter who's a size 10 (boots were a size 11) and they fit her just fine. But her big toe went through the gray boot! I'm still wearing the Uggs of Xmases long ago because they fit perfectly! Problem is they are so old. I love Uggs and would love to have a new pair again, but the way they're made now they just don't fit my wide feet! I wish they would go back to making them the way they used to. Sigh...meanwhile I'm going to order a pair for my daughter before she goes back to college this fall.

Had to return this shoe before it was even worn. My daughter tried them on and they ripped down the back seam. Hopefully not a defect in all the classic shorts.
