Lilly Pulitizer McKim Sandals - How much do I love these classic and timeless sandals? I currently own them in navy, gold and green and plan to collect many more (the lady at the local Lilly Pulitzer told me they introduce a couple new colors every season so I’m hoping for black, brown or red next)! For reference, when they measure me on the shoe ruler at the shoe store, I come off as a straight 8-C, but depending upon the shoe I can wear anywhere from a 7 ½ to a 9 so it’s always a crap-shoot for me to order shoes online. For this reason, I decided to make a trip to the aforementioned local LP store to try these sandals on in-person, and then go home and order them from Zappos…Unfortunately, it didn’t quite work out that way, because once I saw these shoes on my feet, I couldn’t give them up and walked out with them in navy and gold. *sheepish grin* Those two pair were a size 8 ½, which fit me very comfortably, but later when I saw that Zappos had the green version marked down for less than a hundred-bucks, all they had left that was anywhere near my size was an 8, so I kept my fingers crossed that the smaller size would still be okay and clicked “Add to Shopping Cart” button. When they arrived, I immediately tried them on and found that they *did* fit, but my toes were right up to the edge, not quite hanging over but it was a very close thing! I decided to keep them, but be assured that if Zappos had had them in 8 1/2s, I’d have sent the 8’s back and gotten the half-size larger. I own these sandals in both sizes, I’d have to say that they run maybe a ¼-size smaller than marked (i.e.: size-8 is actually a 7 ¾ and the 8 1/2s are actually 8 ¼), if that makes any sense. The leather on these sandals is buttery soft and has a lot of give. At first, I was concerned that the gold-look metal ring that rests on top of the foot would be bothersome or “cut” into the top of my foot, but it only took about 15 minutes of wear for me to break them in completely so that I no longer even noticed the ring and the shoes didn’t rub or irritate any other areas of my foot. Although there is absolutely no arch support, these sandals are surprisingly comfortable -- even when walking long distances or standing on one’s feet all-day. And they make my cute but pudgy feet look sleek and stream-lined! One thing, though: you’ll definitely want to have a fresh pedicure to show off your hooves to their fullest advantage in these stunners… Regarding the colors currently available: the “Bright Navy” color is true to it’s name, while the “Palm Beach Green” is a vivid kelly green, rather than a lime or kiwi shade -- which I actually would have preferred, but then I‘m a sucker for any shade of green… The “Gold Metal” is a pale, muted “icy gold” shade, rather than something garish that will compete with your 18K gold jewelry (speaking of which, these sandals set off a delicate little ankle bracelet JUST so!). These are also available in two pink shades: “Parade Pink” is a bright, hot pink while “Shell Pink” is a soft, palest “baby” pink. And ending out the available color-palette: the silver is a soft, “icy white” shade (note: the metal ring for these is silver-toned, all other colors have the gold-toned metal ring), and the “Orange Sun” is a warm-toned papaya shade (a lot more wearable than one would initially think!), and the white is, well, white! Anyway, these are THE quintessential flat, summer sandals that can be dressed up with a floaty summer dress, or dressed down with denim shorts and a t-shirt, but which ALWAYS look classic, elegant and effortlessly chic. If you like to spend your sandal-season padding around in thongs, but wished they looked a little more stylish and distinguished, then THIS is the sandal you’re looking for. Yeah, they’re hella pricey for nothing more than a glorified flip-flop, but they’re very well-constructed and look like they’ll last -- with even minimal care -- through many seasons. Even when I got caught in an unexpected summer cloud-burst (before I had the chance or thought to “water-proof” them with leather sealer), they looked none-the-less for wear and dried within minutes without suffering any permanent damage! I’m eyeballing the silver and/or orange pairs next, unless Lilly introduces the aforementioned black, red or brown this fall…all-in-all, this is one impulse purchase I haven‘t regretted for a second! Just look upon them as an investment in your fashion-future and it won’t hurt as much when you receive that credit-card statement. *wink* I just thank God that sandal season lasts pretty much all year in my neck of the woods so I can wear this nearly year-round! Now, if I could only get the Lilly “Shelly” thong sandals (with the little gold metal shells along the thong strap) out of my mind...

Love this shoe. I generally wear an 8.5 or 9 shoe, but ordered 9.5 after reading the reviews. It is comfortable and very pretty shade and does not flip flop; which is a real plus. I am planning to order another color, but this time I will order a size 9.

:o| First the pros: these are very cute, classic sandals. The leather is of good quality, the metal ring is not noticeable on top the foot, and I loved the color (pale pink). These could be worn with shorts, skirts, slacks, jeans, casual dresses. Now, the cons: I normally wear a size 10, but ordered the 11.5 since that was the only size that was close to mine that Zappos had in stock. And, after reading the reviews about how they run small, I thought I'd take a chance. Describing these sandals as "running small" is an understatement. The 11.5--a full 1.5 sizes over my normal shoe--fit perfectly. So, be aware! The second issue is that there is absolutely no padding whatsoever on the sole of these shoes. Nada. Nil. Zilch. Less-than-flat would be a better descriptor. All that is well and fine, except when you factor in the cost of these McKim's...Just too much money for what you get.

These sandals are cute, classy, and understated. Not the most comfy but not terrible. Really happy with my purchase.

Lilly Pulitzer Mckim Sandal - Great looking shoe. Would love to get in other colors. A classic.

The go-with-everything sandal - Modern and yet classic. Simple and elegant. Perfect to wear with spring dresses, capris, and summer styles. Excellent quality overall and they're available in so many colors you'll want a pair of each! A little pricier, but you won't be disappointed with these beauties.

Great shoe - This shoe is very comfortable and the silver-tone is perfect.

Classic sandal - This is the perfect totally flat sandal. It can be dressy or casual, but it always looks classy. For me, it's worth the money because it is of high quality, and will be timeless. I wear a C width, but this sandal works for me.

Cute but flat-footed - I love these sandals and wanted them for a long time. I'm still glad I bought them but there is NO cushioning whatsoever. They are great for a garden party and look adorable with a dress but don't plan to walk 10 miles in them.

They're sandals - The McKim sandal is cute because it's clean and simple. These sandals won't go out of style. However, they do run a little small. The 8.5 barely fits but the 9 was too big. I'm normally a size 8. Overall if you want a summer fashion that will last into the next summer and the one after that these are a good choice.

Great Sandals - These shoes are very cute and even pretty comfortable for flat leather sandals.

Super cute sandal but sizing runs 1/2 to one full size too small. I ordered a size 6 for my 5 1/2 foot. My foot fills the shoe from front to back. 6 1/2 would probably have been better. This shoes are very difficult to walk in because they seem to "stretch". I also have the sandals in the pink and blue patent and they don't have this problem, so I think it must be the metallic material. The sandals become wide because the metallic material is stretchy and doesn't hold the foot. The only way my foot stays in these sandals is by digging my toes into the foot bed. I noticed this slightly when I first got the shoes. It got much worse within a couple of wearings. And by then, it was too late to return them. So please be aware of the situation.

Cute sandal! Great with shorts, capris, casual dresses. Love the gold color - goes with most anything. The sole is well-made, but I wish there was a little more support to it. Otherwise, great shoe.

I can't say enough how much I love these sandals. My foot runs a little wide but the thong strap fits perfectly. The metal ring doesn't dig into my foot and the leather material is soft even after hours of wear. Like any other flat sandal, it has no support. I would add that the sole is hard making it particularly sturdy, but not very forgiving if you're walking long distances. Still, totally worth every penny.

This is a very wide shoe -- I am keeping it, but I have a wide foot and it is even a little loose on me. No arch support, but generally don't expect much arch on a flat leather sandal.

I purchased the pink, thinking it would go with so many things. It was just too too too bright for me, and it comes with a line in the middle where the leather comes together. There is a dark line in the middle of the pink strap. I do not like this, and once I noticed it couldn’t take my eyes off of it, so this is being returned. Sadly, I have had several pairs of these, but never noticed this issue before.

Super cute! I’m usually a 7.5 or 8. after reading other reviews, I ordered the 8. after wearing, I realized I should have stuck with ordering my normal size 7.5. I guess I was too excited to wear them and didn’t really pay attn to the length before wearing them outside. they are a little too big but I will still wear them. would also like to point out the bottoms are thin, hard, and flat. I found these to be comfortable but there is no arch support, so may not be the best shoe to wear if you are walking all day.

Love the style and color and will go nicely with all my Lilly dresses.

These are cute and comfortable. They really dress up my Lilly shifts. Received lots of compliments on these sandals!

Flecks of gold leather peak through the cork making it more attractive than a photo conveys. The placement of the "thong" effects fit. If you have longer than average toes,your regular size should fit. Otherwise order a half size up.

So cute and comfortable! Fit is perfect and I can wear it with multiple dresses. This shoe will be a favorite.

These have become my essential summer sandal. Perfect with shorts, skinny jeans or a casual dress. Photo accurately represents the gold color.
