Buy These Shoes - I had been looking at MBT for over a year going back and forth whether or not to spend the money on these shoes. I finally "bit the bullet" and I am so happy I did. These shoes are really comfortable and look better in real life than in the photo. Be sure to buy a larger size than usual. I wear an 8 in regular shoes, an 8 1/2 in tennis shoes but had to get a 9 in these shoes. When wearing these shoes you will feel like you are walking in sand. I was not sure if I could run in these shoes because of the "heel" but I can and really feel it working my legs. I wear them as often as possible!

Comfy and worth the expense! This is my third pair of MBTs and I have to say I really love them. And they come in pink! These are the cutest that MBT has come out with -FINALLY! They actually look like a girl's shoe. Boost is a little narrower than the other MBTs I have; which makes me think MBT is becoming more gender specific in their sizing/styling. The best thing about these is that you can truly feel the muscles working in your legs when you're walking in them! Can't beat that! While I've found them for less money than at Zappos, the shipping & return process is the BEST there is.

I can walk again! The MBT shoes have given me back mobility which I was rapidly losing due to arthritis in my toes. I have flat feet and the mechanics of these shoes take the pressure off my toes and allow me to even take long hikes once again. I am very pleased with this sneaker. The look is sleeker and I am able to wear shorts once again with out standing out and announcing these shoes are orthos. The Zappos service was absolutely outstanding. I even received a personal thank you. The shoes arrived the next day even though I ordered late. Best internet experience I have had! PS I have narrow feet and this shoe is great for that.

Yeah Boost!!! I absolutely love these shoes. I have been looking into the MBT's for almost two years. I had tried several types on at two high end stores, but no size fit quite right, the return policy was unacceptable, and the attitude was uppidy. So I've been waiting and watching for Zappos to introduce just the perfect specimen of MBT, and I knew the folks at Zappos would persevere with me. And they did....three different sizes and a few months of back and forth activity. But when the correct size landed, it was a match made in Heaven and I will always be grateful to Zappos. This shoe is amazing. I've suffered with plantar fasciitis, and post back surgery difficulties for years (I'm 61). This shoe is physical therapy in the best way. I am super thrilled with my Boost MBT's. I do recommend taking lots of time in the house getting used to them so as to avoid falls or tripping before just flying down the steps without a care in the world. They're that different.

My gluts love these shoes - I was skeptical about these expensive sneakers but after a month my gluts and legs love them. Like a mini gym. I can now work out standing in the grocery line or just running errands. I also enjoy the improved posture - my husband noticed how my posture improved and we ordered a pair for him!! I also just go the sandals in blue for the hot southern summer and hubby now wants sandals- excellent product. Also they can be resoled for a reasonable fee so the initial investment is well worth the benefits.

Great workout - I have really enjoyed my MBT shoes, while they may not be the most stylish they do what they say. My husband even remarked he thought they were working as I am standing up straighter even when I don’t have them on. Plus, I can feel a difference in my core after using them - I take a long walk with them on every morning. They were not cheap but they were worth it!

You will LOVE these shoes! I suffered from a lot of lower back pain and circulation problems (spider veins) and had been reading about MBT for months before I took the plunge. I now own two pairs, Boost and the leather sandals. Now I wonder, why did I wait? No more spider veins, no more back pain. When I wear the Boosts people think I'm wearing the sneakers with wheels in them....get a lot of comments! My co-workers are now buying them and nobody has any regrets. I do switch out and wear my pretty dainty shoes once in awhile without any problems, its easy to go back and forth, but, I really prefer to be in my MBT's most of the time. GREAT SHOES!!

Good workout - I think the shoe does what it says...I feel a difference in my calf, ham string and butt muscles when I have walked (3 miles) in them. I gave them 4 stars for Comfort because they feel very hot - I guess they don't breathe, which can be bad in a workout shoe. They definitely run small, I ordered a 7 and ALWAYS wear 6.5. FYI - I also ordered the MBT Sport High for comparison (and sent them back) because they were even tighter than the Boost, just too uncomfortable for me considering I will be walking several miles in them in hot weather, however, I do think the Sport High would give a little more workout than the Boost, as the rounded edge on the bottom was a little more exaggerated on the Sport High. I do feel the shoe has stretched a tad bit since I have worn them several times, which is good to know, because I even considered another half size larger when I first tried them on. Now that I have broken them in, they are fine.

They take some getting used to. They are more comfortable, but there is a definite breaking in period. If you are on your feet all day then you should take a pair of your regular shoes to change into after an hour or two and gradually work up to a full day. They do run smaller than other shoes. All of the shoes in my closet are 7.5 - I needed an 8 in the MBT.

Prepare to Exercise - The MBT is a snug fit, so be sure to order a half-size bigger than normal. However, once you do you won't regret it. The rounded style of the MBT encourages walking at a brisker, rolling pace. Extremely comfortable. You can walk for miles without back or knee pain. I have never paid this much for a pair of shoes, but MBT is definitely worth the money.

Well satisfied - After reading about them for about a year, I finally took the plunge and splurged on a pair of MBT Boosts. While after a couple weeks the jury is still out on whether they'll make my butt smaller, they have gotten me walking more -- with much better posture. The sensation is interesting, kind of like gliding. I do feel as though I'm using muscles you don't normally use when you're walking, like my abs. And because of the way the shoes pitch your feet, you really can't stand still in them. At first, I was a little nauseous walking in the shoes -- but I'd read it was a possibility, because they do knock off your equilibrium, kind of like being shipboard. I quickly gained my "MBT legs" and now have no problem. On another note, I did want to make sure I was walking in them correctly, so I called Zappos to find out if they had the accompanying instructional DVD, which other retailers were offering. They did, and I received it -- at no extra charge -- about 10 days after I got the shoes. Very impressive. Not only that, but I received a handwritten thank-you note later for my business. Wow. Zappos rocks.

You should give these a chance - I really love these shoes! I have seen them in the Bliss catalogue for a couple of years and thought they sounded interesting, but on a recent vacation I saw them in a store window and went in and tried them on - very different and it forces you to stand very tall and erect, even thought I already have good posture. I did not buy them at that time because they really are an investment and I wanted to be sure about them. So I came home and did some research on the Internet and did decide to purchase them on Zappos. Because I had tried them on already, I knew that they truly do run 1/2 size small - so I went up to an 8 1/2, which is new to me. I have narrow feet and have been a true 8 forever. So - they really do work muscles that I didn't know I had and I am very happy with them! I also love that they came with a DVD explaining the philosophy and proper use. I wear them to exercise and when I am not wearing them I miss the way they make me walk - I know this sounds weird, but you have to experience it for yourself. They have really intensified my workout and my legs feel stronger and more muscular after only 3 weeks. I would definitely order these again.

Awesome sneaker! For the price, I was skeptical to try these sneakers, but they are everything and more than people say. I had been having foot pain for months -- it has completely disappeared. Can't wait to get my next pair. If you are hesitant, go for it!!!

Buns of Steal - They really do work the muscles in your legs and butt. I wear them for 8 hours straight standing on a concrete sales floor and my feet feel great. Order 1 size larger if you wear cushion socks. MBT ROCKS! ZAPPOS ROCKS!

*NICE!!* I tried MBT sport high 3 years ago: The mesh heel lining quickly shredded and peeled; they were *desperately* ugly; it was easy to hurt yourself in them. Pfuh... all that money. But I decided to give MBT another chance when these came out and I'm SO HAPPY!! Much better quality and workmanship, cool shape (yay!), really nice to walk in!!! A pleasant mild workout. Now if only MBT could develop attractive sandals, and maybe some ballet 'flats'... (^_^)

No more lower back pain!! It took me a few days to get used to walking on a rocker platform, but once I got used to it, this shoe has improved my posture, given me a better workout and eliminated the lower back pain that I used to experience while walking in my Nike Shox and flip flops. I find them a little heavy to walk in all day.

Better than orthotics - This is my second pair of MBTs. I have flat, painful feet and I tried MBTs last fall when my orthotics were not doing anything for me anymore. My first pair, the Shadow, was GREAT. These are very good, although the Shadow was better. I need a sneaker for spring/summer and tried all the models before deciding on this one. It has the most arch support of the sneakers, although I think it's a little less cushy/padding than the Shadow. Still, it's the best option for me this summer since I would rather not wear black shoes all summer! There is no question that each MBT shoe feels different in terms of the support and fit, so you have to experiment if you are buying them for problem feet like mine. Definitely go a half size to a size bigger--these shoes run small! I'm an 8.5 and ordered the 9. MBT recommends that you DON'T use orthotics with their shoes and they are right--I tried my orthotics with MBTs and they don't feel right. For me, they replace the orthotics.

Comfort - The shoe is very comfortable when walking on level ground or going downhill. But is very uncomfortable when going up even a small incline. The material at the back of the shoe is hard and rubs. Can only stand to go a very short distance. That was disappointing considering the cost.

Ugly, but good performance - I considered purchasing MBTs for over a year before I finally bit the bullet and ordered these. Overall, I am pleased. As promised, they amp up your walk - definitely feel it in the butt and hips - and are comfortable for very long walks. Two complaints: first of all, they do NOT run 1/2 size small if you have regular or slightly narrow feet. The included materials explain that the sole of the shoe causes your foot to slide BACKWARDS, not forwards like a normal shoe, so it's ok if they are snug in the toe. After several wearings, I realized mine are a bit too big. Second (and truly bizarre), I know I have a weak stomach, but I swear, these shoes make me seasick if I wear them for an activity besides just walking, like shopping or riding the subway. I am fine as long as I am walking. It's a disappointment because I had hoped to wear them as commuting shoes, but I can't show up at work every morning feeling queasy! Now I just wear them for exercise-walks.

Great shoe! After looong contemplation, I finally bought the rose boosts and am so glad I did! First, MBTs European-to-US shoe size conversion is incorrect. For example, they say that 37 converts to a size 7 US when it actually converts to a 6.5 US. Hence the snug fit. I usually wear a size 6 street shoe and 6.5 sneaker, so I ordered a size 37. I walked around the house and then took the dog out for a few walks over the course of the day and just love the shoes. There is a part of me that thinks the big price tag may contribute to a somewhat biased view of the shoe; however, since I paid this much for it, I probably expect it to be pretty awesome. On the other hand, if I’d paid a lesser amount for it, I might automatically assume that it is of cheap quality and expect very little. However, even with this in mind, I am very happy with the shoe. I definitely felt it working my legs. The only complaint I have is that my feet get pretty warm... probably not a bad thing as autumn and winter roll around.

MBT Boost - I normally wear a 6 or 6 1/2 depending on the shoes, but I had to get a size 7 so my toes are not touching the front of the shoes. I like the look of the shoes. I must admit it takes some getting used to as far as walking. I am not totally comfortable yet. Need to force myself to start wearing them more often to get the benefits of working out my legs. I wanted the MBT Mary Jane style because it's so cute, but it rubbed my ankle and it was not comfortable… so I chose these shoes. Again you need to make a commitment to wear them as though you are making a commitment to workout.

MBT Boost. I was hesitant to order this shoe because of the price and because I have to be very careful of what shoes I wear. I broke my sesamoid bone in 2003 and although it healed I still have some pain if I don't wear comfortable shoes. I decided to keep the shoes because I do notice a difference in my posture when I wear them. I'm not sure if it is firming my legs and thighs yet. I also like the rigid sole because my foot feels better in a shoe with a rigid sole. I have narrow feet and a narrow heel and feel to get a decent fit I have to press my heel into the back of the shoe and then lace it very tightly. It would be great if this shoe came in different widths such as new balance does. I had emailed MBT and they said that this is the narrowest style that they make. I also wish the insole was a little more cusioned than it is. I am a pharmacist so I stand all day at work and find it difficult to wear these shoes all day. They also appear to be great for walking but not as great for standing in one place. This is a really innovative shoe however. I actually think it is not a bad looking athletic style shoe.

MBT Boost - These shoes are the most comfortable thing I have ever put on my feet! I bought them because I have major problems with shin splints when I walk or jog. These shoes eliminated that problem immediately. They make my posture better, my feet feel great, and no more leg and knee pain! My only complaint is that they gave me some pretty nasty blisters on my heels - I would recommend breaking them in slowly. Also, order a 1/2 size larger than you normally would. They seem to run a bit small. Despite how unattractive these shoes are - They are wonderful!

Comfy and functional - These are great. Right heel took some getting used to walking but once you get the hang of them they feel great!

Hype or not hype? I'm not convinced that these shoes are worth the $$$ for everyone. I bought them because I have back, neck, hip pain, get shin splints when I walk fast, and have "sturdy"/fat legs. I've been wearing them for about 4 weeks (walking average = 3 miles/day) and the only improvement that I have seen is that I don't get shin splints when I wear them. I measured my calves and thighs the day I received the MBTs (4 weeks ago) and then again today. My calves are slightly larger and my thighs are the same size as before. My legs do not look or feel more toned. My weight has not changed. I have worn them all day every day and they are very comfortable but do not give the support that my custom orthotics give. The manufacturer recommends that hard orthotics not be used with this shoe. I am overall happy with them since I am able to walk faster and longer due to the fact that they have helped my shin splints but I still have back, hip, and neck pain. I have very narrow feet and my regular size fits very well in length and width. Most people have told me that they are not ugly and look almost like regular sneakers.
