MBT Walker - I purchased the MBT walker a couple of weeks ago. Overall I am please with the shoe; I did have to purchase a full size larger than I normally wear. I have not seen a change in my posture up to this point but I am hoping that will change!

NICE!! Ok, every other review on here... DITTO! Even though I ordered a half-size larger like everyone recommended, they were indeed that... too large. I have returned for a smaller size. These shoes are great, and I actually like the look of these. You definitely get what you pay for!!! Thank you ZAPPOS for offering such great products, great prices, and the BEST shipping around!! I am a customer for life!!!

MBT review - These shoes are possibly the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. For me they run a whole size smaller. I would recommend buying a size larger than you normally wear. Looks are mediocre. I'd like to see the manufacturer use a better quality of material on the top and no plastic please.

My M.Walk Shoes - When I received the M-Walk, I thought they looked a little like "Munster" shoes, but I grew to love them. They are very comfortable and they actually did help with my lower-back/leg problems. I enjoy walking in these shoes more than any I've had before. My husband seems to think they are heavy, but they don't seem to be at all when I walk in them. I may just get another pair, too, and am trying to talk my husband into a pair since he's got a leg problem also. I'm glad I saw Rachael Ray's show that day - she talked about how her mother will only wear this brand of shoes. I must say that I agree!! I found that they were right when they said they run small. I had to exchange them - I should've listened.

Walking better - The shoes are a little awkward at first but I have noticed the difference in muscle tone. I had knee surgery and also have flat feet. My posture has improved as my ankles leaned inward. I got the white/silver and love the look for a female.

Love my MBTs!!! These shoes are absolutely wonderful! I've been made fun of a little by some family members, but it was all in good fun. (They call them my moon shoes.) They aren't the most attractive shoes in the world, but I knew that when buying. The effects these shoes have had on my calves and butt are awesome! I am getting tone just from wearing them around the house and running errands. I don't have as much time to exercise as I wish, but these shoes give me a little work out every time I wear them. I am constantly clinching everything because these shoes force you to do that. If you walk for long distances in these shoes, you really begin to feel the work out. It truly is like you are walking in sand. From now on, I will always own a pair MBTs!!

Buy a size larger. I was able to drive 60 miles to a store that sells MBT. The salesgirl was very knowledgeable about fitting. The best fit for my 8AAA foot was one size larger. Also my custom orthotic for a weak metatarsal arch didn't work in this shoe, but the sales girl recommended a thinner more flexible one and IT WORKED!
I'd also recommend:
None. This MBT shoe is the most supportive and cushioned for a thin foot.

Relief - This shoe is comfortable and brought relief to my heel spurs. It took me a few days to get use to walking in them. They were a little tight at first; I suggest you get them a little bigger.

I like them and will probably buy more... True--these are pricey (ridiculously so, if you ask me,) and I apparently am enough of an idiot to pay the insane ticket price, so thanks to me and many others who keep purchasing these, price most likely won't budge cuz we all keep paying it. *sigh* I'm (apart from price) beyond pleased w/ my purchase!! I've actually been looking for a shoe that looked very similar to this for a long, long time! I was hooked once I read the "claims." The feel is incredible, and I do feel "more fit"..?.. Believe it or not while wearing these---it does engage certain muscles well and feels the best I’ve ever felt for athletic shoe. I waitress part time, so I'm on my feet all the time, and these are wonderful...couldn't imagine going back to anything else really...what people say about sizes seems to be pretty true for me. I ordered 7 pairs to try out styles/ sizes. Unfortunately I liked 2 pairs (eek! Pricey!!) and sent back other 5. I kept a pair of M. Walk in size 9 (I'm usually an 8.5) and kept Sport low in an 8.5...all of the sporty styles that to me seemed "cuter" that had all of the stripes, color-contrasting, etc. seemed to run at least 1/2 size small for my feet....I hope this helps...I will most likely be purchasing more of these shoes (cuz I'm a glutten for pricey-shoe-punishment.) *insert eyeroll here and enjoy if you're as much as an insane consumer as I* :)

Buy them!! I understand all the reasons to be hesitant, but just buy them!! But buy at least a size and a half larger than you normally wear. They tired me out at first, but when I tried to go back to my Saucony sneakers for a day, my feet were KILLING me!! Now, I'm bouncing around again in my MBTs. My whole family was waiting for my final review of these shoes and now I'm ready to recommend them without hesitation. I don't understand WHY they cost so much, but a few meals eaten out will cost you that and you'll have nothing to show for that in the long run. I hope they last a good, long time. And get cheaper!!

Worth the money. These were recommended by a neighbor- I hesitated because of the price but am glad that I tried them. They do take a bit of getting used to but I really like them. I found them to help a great deal with lower back and hip pain. I wear them to walk and to run errands.

You Get What You Pay For - After reading many, MANY reviews online about these shoes, I finally broke down and ordered a pair. I have never - ever paid this much for any shoe in my life! What justified it for me is that I have had a serious illness over the past year (and I'm kind of a youngster!) and the circulation of my feet and lower limbs is quite important. When I first ordered this shoe - I ordered a 10 1/2 (I wear a 10 to 10 wide normally). It felt too snug (especially on my right foot) and I returned for an 11. That was a perfect fit. It didn't take me long to figure out the major differences in how I felt. Although I wouldn't deem this the miracle worker - it really changes the way you walk, stand, and most importantly - your desire to do so.

MBT black with red - I bought my pair because I have had foot problems since July. I absolutely love them and even wear them to work. Everyone keeps asking me about them, and I bought a green pair for my daughter because I'd feel too guilty walking around in utter comfort and not sharing such a great find with her. She loves hers too! What they say about posture is true; you can't slouch while you're standing.

MBT Shoes - The shoes feel great on and seem to give you a good workout for your legs while wearing them. They get some getting used to, but the more you wear them the easier it is.

Great for 1st time buyers - I own this in the discontinued color black/ w/ red sensor. I also have the Sport Low. The "sensors" are different lengths in these 2 shoes, w/ the MWalk being longer in length. It is not as hard to "balance" on w/ this longer heel sensor. The Sport Low makes you work a little harder to balance because sensor is shorter, but both are good shoes. They both give much relief from foot or heel pain, (plantar fasciitis) & knee & hip pain. The MWalk runs short & I had to go up a full size in this 1, as compared to the Sport Low, which I got 1 size SMALLER than in this style. I got these for comfort & not looks. NOTHING is better for me than a comfortable shoe. These both fit the bill. I also have the sandal in the Brown & had to go up 1/2 size. It is sooooooo comfortable!! The brown is padded more on the footbed than the blue or the white one. With all of these I am a "walking fool" now compared to before. I might add that I have tried orthotics, shots, pain meds & even had surgery on my knee & could not go any distance walking w/o much pain. (Dr. says I need a knee replacement, but w/ these I think I can let it go for a while.) These shoes have helped me a lot to get back to walking & the high cost is just not a factor--compared to what they give me in return. I would definitely recommend these, but you do have to get the right size. All the styles run different, but ZAPPOS is great in helping w/ that.

Worth the money! After reading reviews, I was not sure what to expect once my MBTs arrived. This color of the M.Walk is no longer being manufactured, so I'm not sure if the newer versions will have the same issues. I wear a size 10 shoe and ordered a full size larger in these shoes and they fit great. I think the 1/2 size larger recommendation is wise. I went a full size larger and they fit just great.

ADORE these! After a mishap with dogs marking territory in my New Balance sneakers, I had to get new ones. I'd been deliberating over MBTs for a few years, trying to figure out if they would justify their price. I finally decided to go the whole hog and drop the money for them...and, wow, I think it is SO worth it. When I buy ~2 pairs of shoes per YEAR, these are excellent and have a projected life of 2-3 years! You can absolutely feel the harmony of your body; the hips, back and knees feel very stress-free, and walking is double the workout--you'll need to stretch your new, buff calves after walking for the day! I am in love, and am not at all regretting the price. I'm quickly learning--from an affair with Kenneth Cole Gentle Souls, Born, Dansko and now MBTs--that expensive shoes that are GOOD for you are so much more economical than crappy cheap ones. :)

Amazing comfort! I had been thinking about this shoe for a few months, hesitant because of the price. I finally decided to try a pair. I was completely amazed...unbelievable comfort as well as relief from several sources of discomfort. I have painful plantar fasciitis. I can barely put my heel down it hurts so much... The MBT allows me to walk without pain by taking pressure off of my heel. I could cry with the relief. It also gives me the arch support I need for this condition. I also have neuroma's which require enough toe room. The shoe provides it. As if that weren't enough, because the shoe forces me to stand up with proper posture, I have not had the lower back pain I often get in the course of a day on my feet (I'm a teacher working on concrete flooring). The shoe feels so comfy and spongy that all shock is absorbed. I'd advise new wearers to follow instructions, i.e. wear the shoes a little at a time. I wore them about 3 hours at a time for the first few days. I did experience the heat in the toes but it went away in a few days. The shoe is a bit heavier and your feet get tired faster until you're used to them. I wear orthotics in my other shoes but not in these. I think they would somewhat defeat the purpose. I did have to go up a full size. I tried a half size larger based on reviews but had to go up from a 7.5 to an 8.5. These shoes are a blessing for my 73 year old worn out feet! My grandchildren call them my "rocking shoes". I will buy a black pair in the near future. I have never in my life raved about a shoe like this. They are truly awesome.

MBT M. Walk Review - Shoe is very comfortable and stylish. I wear a 7.5 - 8 usually. I ordered the 38-1/3, and it fits comfortably snug. Good arch support. I don't need to wear my insoles. I have narrow feet and this shoe, labeled a medium width, fits great. Feet feel much better!

Every shoe should have this bottom... This is the first review I ever wrote for a shoe. At first, I tried on the shoe and thought, what's the big deal? I had expected the shoes to be fairly unstable (which is what I wanted) because of the whole leg workout claim, but really the heel just felt a little squishy. I walked around on the carpet for a few minutes and thought, kinda cool but not worth the money. THEN I went to work all day and paid attention to the normal shock feeling in your feet and legs as you walk. Came home and put the MBTs back on and vowed that they were the BEST SHOES EVER! I’ve only had them a few days, but I can totally feel the difference in the pressure on my feet and knees. I originally bought these because of the claims that they help with back pain, and I haven't had them long enough to test that out, but the comfort of walking alone is enough to make me love these. Once you try them you'll know what I’m talking about. You don't realize how flat other shoes are until you've walked in these, and then you too will probably wonder why all sneakers aren't made like this. I agree with the previous writer in that it was hard to see which size fits best. I’d say they only feel a 1/2 size larger than marked. The only thing I wished is that they looked a little nicer, kinda look like orthotics (I have white ones). And they are very expensive, but if they save my knees and back the price will be well worth it!

I love my MBTS!!! I have to walk around so much at school with a heavy backpack that I decided to get these shoes to make it easy on my knees... I love them! I feel like I'm walking on sponge! I also have a back problem but it hasn't been hurting that much at all! =) Highly recommend to everyone!

Great Shoes - I just love these shoes... they really seem to help my posture and I feel great wearing them. I'm able to dress casual at work, so they go straight from the gym to the office. Also, for the first time ever, I'm noticing my calves growing... they're AWESOME!!!

MBT M. Walk improves posture. I am extremely happy with the MBT M. Walk shoes. I felt immediately the improvement in my posture. After just two days, I could sense a change in my lower body structure and musculature. I would recommend these shoes, and I intend on purchasing another pair in the future.

A great walking shoe.. These are amazing. They provide so much support, and my feet never hurt, and my legs and back are never getting that tired hurting feeling anymore. They do run very small--I had to reorder them, and ended up with a full size larger than normal. They are not a good running shoe however, so if that's what you are looking for, don't buy them . Great for serious power walking.
