SorboElite - This insole is very similar to the Superfeet insole only with significantly more cushioning. It offers good support, breathability and comfort.

They're great, but buy them before you need them. Could have probably prevented these shin splints if I bought these BEFORE I had problems. These are great insoles and I recommend highly.

Good Insole - I've used Sorbothane insoles in the past and I find that they work very well in preventing shin splints. I have a pair in all of my running shoes. Definitely a necessity for me!

Runners review of Sorbathane Elite Insert - I am a high mileage runner, I had foot surgery 7 months ago to remove a nueroma, the Sorbathane Elite provides maximum cushion for the foot. They fit beautifully into both Asics and Brooks running shoes. I highly recommend these inserts for anyone looking for additional cushioning in there shoes!

This is my first experience with Sorbothane insoles and I am still trying to determine if they are the cause of lower back pain the day after I run. Otherwise, I find them to be most comfortable and supportive. I especially like the pocket-like indenture for my heel that seemingly prevents my foot from lateral movement.\r\n\r\nPerhaps my lower back discomfort is resultant of any number of 68 year old causes. That being the case, I enthusiastically endorse these insoles.

SorboElite Vs. Superfeet - Bought these to compare to Green Superfeet for running. I've always thought Superfeet could use a bit more fore-foot cushioning so I tried these out. And yes, the cushioning felt good, but the mold of the Superfeet has a much deeper heel-bed and after trying the SorboElites, I went back to the Superfeet the next day to compare. Superfeet still rule in my personal opinion. And because of the design, the fore-foot felt just as, if not more, comfy. These are great for regular wear. But for running, I'm sticking with the Superfeet.

On the fence - I don't know if the cost is worth it, yet. I bought these while having trouble with hip joint pain and the PT suggested it since I work on concrete. I wear size 7 1/2 shoe, but bought the 6/7 size. They do fit, but don't be put off by another review saying they can't be cut to size. I wonder if the heel would have felt better if I did since it feels like the cushion in the heel isn't level. It is more on the inside and I've worn down my heels toward the outside. I wonder if I made a mistake, but haven't been back to work due to pain for over a month.

I expected less bang for the buck. I wear a women's 9 AA (narrow), and these insoles fit my just-bought New Balance 992W sneakers with no cramming--impressive. However, the rigidity of the orange arch/heel area cut down on the cushioning ability of my new shoes. If you are looking for pure motion control and less cushion, especially on the heel, these might be the insoles for you. I had some significant pain after wearing the shoes for a workday using these insoles; but had no pain using my old insoles in the same shoes. Even allowing for break-in time, these insoles never got comfortable to my narrow, bony feet. I also docked stars from "Look" because they had a sharp vinegar odor for the first two days of wear. While it did (mostly) clear up with time, foot odor is not a usual problem for me so I was dismayed.

My arches are very low, and these have completely taken out the back pain I had. They fit very very well, and didn't remove too much space from inside my shoes. I use a pair for my work shoes, and another pair (the super-high arch pair) for my workout shoes. I definitely recommend these.
