Great shoe, comfortable fit, but this morning after 4 months of gentle school wear, the silver loop that holds the strap broke off. Extremely disappointing, will not buy again.

My daughter just loves this shoe. It is true to size and is very durable; love the thick sole (since she is very rough on shoes). I would highly recommend.

Terrific shoe, wears great. These were bought for school and I would buy them again without question. The customer service here is a joy as well. Great job Zappos.

Narrow shoes - These shoes look very nice but the "wide" is not wide.

This is an amazing school shoe. I was so happy to find this shoe for my daughter. First of all, the fit is wonderful because they have varying widths available. Being able to purchase a wide width is SO helpful. Second, the black leather holds up so nicely all year long. It doesn't look all scuffed up--it looks new and fresh even after a full year of school days and recesses. Before finding this show, I was using a different shoe that would look ragged and worn out before the end of the school year. Also, our previous shoe had weird seams on the top of the shoe that made it look less "clean" and elegant--the seams were too casual and athletic-shoe-looking. This show has a much more clean-looking top. The velcro strap has held up totally. This really is an amazing shoe. Now my daughter is in middle school and she wants a more fancy, fashionable shoe--like ladies flats. I'm grieving it because I know the School Issue Prodigy would hold up so much better and be so much less costly than a ladies flat shoe. Oh well....kids have to grow up. Enjoy it while it lasts!

I bought this in the beginning of September as my daughter's school shoe/uniform shoe. Within two months of wearing the sole is coming off. This is the first time I've tried this brand, in our 5th year of a uniform shoe, and it didn't even last until winter. Really disappointing.

I can ALWAYS count on Zappos to get my shoes to me fast. I’ve ordered this still of shoes for my daughters school uniforms like I times and I’ve never been dissatisfied.

I bought these for my granddaughter and she loves the Mary Jane style and the fit. She'll outgrow these soon, and I'll be back for a larger size!

I bought these for my daughter - they are part of the required uniform for her school. They are not very stylish, but she tells me they are quite comfortable and fit well. We had just measured her in a store for a sneaker purchase and she measured a 6. We bought the six and it fits great!

Too small for size. Needed to exchange one size up.

Dependable school uniform shoes. You can be active wearing these shoes throughout the day without getting sore/tired feet. My daughter has been growing in these shoes for the past 5 yrs. Each size has fit well.

My daughter is usually a 5 however in her school shoes needed a 6. The rubber on the bottom does seem to wear quick.

I love Mary Jane shoes. I purchased this shoe is dark navy and black. They are very comfortable and look good on, especially with a pair of jeans. If you are looking at them, go ahead and purchase. The price is also good. ? Enjoy.

Perfect shoe for my daughter for back to school. She is only in 4th grade, but is wearing ladies' sizes now, so I loved that I could find a shoe that is age appropriate in her size.

These are awesome for anyone who likes the Mary Jane style! Good Looking and comfortable. I bought them for my daughter who is 9 yrs old. She is a tall girl who inherited my long feet. She still needs a young girls style of shoe so these fit her feet and were age appropriate too! Thanks School Issue! and Zappos! I had a hard time determining the size as we are living in Germany so I finally measured her feet with a ruler and ordered the size that corresponded. It was the same size as the German shoes we buy so sizing was true to measured inches/cm.

I buy this shoe each time my daughter outgrows her previous pair. They're durable and extremely comfortable for her to wear. If only I could find something like this in my size!

too narrow, not like a Wide width at all.

Didn't last too long. They made it about 3 months, and now the sole is separating from the leather of the shoe. I am surprised, since these are the same shoes that she had before, which lasted until she outgrew them. Maybe it was just an off lot, but this particular pair was unsatisfactory, even though overall, they have been great.

These shoes looked durable and were a comfortable school shoe for my ten year old. However, after just two months the silver buckle broke completely off and leather is lifting from the rubber footbed. Very disappointing indeed.

Uppers fell apart less than a month after school began with indoor use only. My daughter wore boots outside. Other brands last this child the whole school year. Complete waste of money!
