Good fit, very comfortable- I've been having a very hard time finding a shoe that fits well for my very narrow feet and looks decent with business casual attire. This is pretty good- not as dressy as I'd hoped to find, but very comfortable. The shoe is lightweight, seems sturdy, and- most importantly- seems to actually be as narrow as listed.

First time Rockport shoe owner- This is the first Rockport shoe I have purchased; I find it very comfortable and I satisfied with the overall appearance and feel of the shoe. I would recommend this shoe to others.

This was the widest narrow I have ever attempted to wear. I have other Rockport in D width but this N is wider.

The left shoe insole had a crimp in the heel that would cause a blister. The shoes weighed too much. The shoes were not in an original Rockport box. One shoe had a cardboard insert and the other did not. I believe the shoes may have been returned before.

I just purchased a pair of Rockport Encounter's, model K70775. I love just about everything about them, except for the inserts. The inserts have plastic air pockets designed into them. The problem is that the inside of the bubbles are tacky. When the air pockets have weight placed on them, and they are compressed, the top and bottom of the air bubbles touch. When pressure is released, the top and bottom of the bubbles separate making a sticky sound. So, when I walk around in the shoes, it sounds like I am constantly stepping in something sticky and it feels like I am stepping in gum. Does Rockport offer replacement inserts for these shoes? Back they go. It's too bad too. They are super comfortable. Looks are average, but function trumps form.

It is a pair of good looking shoes. The size feels right but the width feels a little large.

My husband is normally a 10 WW and they were huge and were swimming in them. Will try another style and go down a full size. Also it looked like his dad's shoes for an older man. But I hear from friends that Rockport shoes are very comfortable.

I love this shoe. It is extremely comfortable. I can wear it all day and my feel will never hurt. Be careful if you go into an MRI room - the inserts have metal! The only problem I have with this product is after 10 months, the sole has started to separate at the toe and is beginning to flap when I walk. Zappos customer service told me that instead of Rockports, I should have bought New Balance, The North Face, or Columbia if I wanted a sole that will last longer. 3 stars overall, only because of the problem with the sole. Otherwise all 5's.

This is a nice looking shoe and the leather is soft but it has a problem with the insoles. The insoles have something called dynamic suspension which is a large plastic pocket of air running from the heel up to and across the forefoot. After 3 weeks of wearing while on my feet 9 hours a day the air pockets deflated and I was left with a hard plastic insole which, of course, ended up providing me with no cushion whatsoever. I was able to insert an extra pair of memory foam insoles I had from a pair of Sperry Gold Cups. Good shoe for the office but not if you work on your feet all day and you only sit down for lunch.

Run Narrow - This shoe runs narrow compared to the World Tour Classic. Also the laces are so short it is very difficult to tie them. The length was good maybe 1/4 shorter than size listed.

Disappointed with Rockport World Tour Elite - I have now owned these shoes for over two months and they still do not feel comfortable or broken in. As other reviewers have noted, the type of insole in this shoe is a little annoying and not really all that helpful as to overall comfort. On the positive side they were true to size and width.
I'd also recommend:
Most other Rockport without the active insole.

Nylon lining a poor choice- The interior bottom of this shoe is covered with a synthetic material instead of leather. Consequently, there is a problem with sweaty feet. Too bad because in every other respect the product is very comfortable. I bought a pair for a month of traveling in Europe and (Except for the noted problem) found them to be great travel shoes for the comfort-oriented traveler. R. Lemon Winter Park, FL

This shoe is not very stylish. Also, the shoe hurts the top of my toes when I wear them. This pair of Rockports is getting returned.

I find the shoe extremely uncomfortable. There is a gel section just behind the ball of the foot which, I think, is designed to add comfort, but it's just annoying. It almost intrudes on my foot when I'm just sitting or standing. It's really badly designed or I am not appreciating it. Further, the shoelaces are made out of that thick material which never stays tied. I am constantly having to re-tie my shoes. I just wore these for a week on a trip and think they may not come out of the closet much again.

Liked this shoe except that both of the pair squeaked more loudly than any shoe I've ever worn, on both hard surfaces and carpet. Unacceptable!

I've had these shoes for a few months and I really don't like them. I got them because I bought a similar pair at a local Department store in brown but wanted some black ones. They looked similar and were highly rated but they are nothing like the others and I find little to like about them. They are heavy, hot, and uncomfortable. The heel is higher than the forefoot so they have that walking downhill feeling. Aside from the raised heel there is no relief in the foot bed and it feels like a slab on my foot. The only reason I wear them at all is because they cost a lot and I feel guilty not wearing them.

I've been wearing these shoes for about 6 months. I am sorry to say that I had higher hopes that they would be more comfortable and wear better. Initially, they were quite comfortable. But as they stretched out a bit, the toe bed seemed to get very wide. Now my foot moves around too much in the front. The padding at the heel has torn through and now scrapes the back of my foot. Also, when you stand on your heels, the air cushion bulges up under the ball of your foot causing discomfort after a couple minutes.

These shoes are comfortable but the sole will not stay attached to the toe of the shoe for very long. I had a pair for less than 2 weeks and both soles came loose. Zappos kindly sent me another pair, but they are the same way. The soles will be flapping loose in a couple months I'm sure. I will never own another pair of these.

The sole at the front started to separate almost immediately. Only 4 months old, and in for repair the second time, despite gentle wear. Shoddy construction.

Very comfortable and stable to stand in for long periods. Not so great for walking though. Kinda clunky. The sole is too flat and tends to slap on the sidewalk rather than roll.

World Tour Elite- Encounter- These shoes were ok, but a bit boxy and clunky. The big thing was that the leather started to separate from the sole just below the stitching on the inside of each shoe. I ended up returning them after only 6 weeks wear.

There is some sort of small torture device right at the ball of each foot on the insole. Not sure what or why it’s there- like a thumb pushing on the bottom of your foot . Terrible. Ugly shoe on top of that. And on top of that, cheap pleather that doesn’t breath. Returned.

The latest pair I bought of these is the fourth pair I have owned. There has been a drastic change in fit, decrease in quality of the material, and decrease in how well they are put together. The material they are made from has gone from a decent leather, to a hard, plastic looking leather. The fit is much tighter across the top of the shoe along the bottom of the laces. The material the soles are made of has gone to a harder, shinier plastic. I am very disappointed in the changes and will not purchase again.
