Nice looking boot. Too small. Strangely, it also seemed too wide and oddly shaped. If I jammed my heel back, the half-size larger seemed like it might work, but the back of the boot, around the ankle, pushed my foot forward, until my toes were jammed against the front of the boot, and the width around my heel was fairly loose, making my foot a little easier to push forward (or perhaps I should say that the upper pulled the front of the boot back).

These run very small. Tried both his normal size and a full size up and both were too small.

I own a pair of Sorel Boots (love them) and needed another pair for those cold, wet days. I tried these...They look terrific but my heels kept sliding. Had to return them.

I read the reviews complaining about the size issues, so I tried them in 10, 10.5 and 11 (normally, I'm a size 10). In all three sizes I had the same problem: The design of the boot is such, that your toe tends to hit the front part of the boot, and your heel is too separated from the back support, so when you walk, your toe feels uncomfortable, and your heel is too loose, so you can almost slip your feet out of the boot while walking! The boots might be waterproof and very warm, but they have a very poor fit, so I returned them. I would suggest getting boots with laces.

I just ordered these boots on Sunday night and it's now Wednesday and they're here already! They feel a little small, but I don't think they're available in a bigger size than 15, so I can probably live with the fit. One of the reasons I buy almost all my shoes from Zappos is their return policy. If I decide they're not comfortable, returns and/or exchanges are simple and easy. Thanks Zappos!

Can't believe it. Bought my father a pair of these in 1983/4. Think it must be the same boot. He passed in 1989. I have wearing his boots since then. Finely after so many years the toes finely opened up. I just receiver my new sorel pair, can't believe it. It is the same boat/liner and all. Thank you all so much. Beats any Bean boot I have ever warn

Got the shoes today, they seem like excellent build quality. Had gym socks on and were tight in the front of the shoe. I wear a size 12 and my foot went all the way to the front. Am worried that a 13 is going to be too big as the heel is quite loose already as these are pull on boots.

The sizing issue is real. I ordered 0.5 size bigger and had to return. I like them a lot, though.

Nice pull-on boot for cold, wet/snowy weather. I've had these for more than a month and am very happy. Following reports of running a half to a full size small, I started with a size 10 but had to return those for size 10.5, a full size above my normal 9.5.

I do like these boots but the sizing is a little strange. They are so loose around the ankle, that anything other than a walk and you will be without them.

Good winter boot for snow shoveling. Felt about 1/2 size small at first, but after wearing a few times this size 9 feels similar to my old pair (size 9) which was 15 years old.

I really like the boot, but couldn't wear it. I ordered this shoe twice to see if the first defect was an anomaly. There is a defect in the toe area of the right shoe on both pairs I tried, that sticks out makes it too comfortable to wear it. Just the right and not the left. Hmmmm. I ordered a larger size the second time to see if that helped, but to no avail. Thanks for letting me share.

Love the boots, just what I need to run around in the slush of northern Minnesota winters. No need for the heavy Sorels most of the time, so these are just perfect for the day-to-day. Strongly recommend. As for Zappos, what can I say? Their customer service is A#1, and ease of shopping makes this my only shoe store, online or in person. Once you try Zappos, no other online experience measures up.

I took advantage of the ease of ordering and purchased these boots to compare to a pair of double gore pull-on boots I bought elsewhere. I have a pair of Sorel lace up boots that live at our cabin in the snow and have been quite happy with those for many years. The problem with those is the effort to put on/lace up and tie etc. to just run out for a second. So, I went looking for a pair of pull-on/slip-on boots that I can throw on to take the dogs out or run to the truck. What I first noticed when I took them out of the box, was that the upper section (around the ankle) was compressed/wrinkled. My daughter called it when she said it looked like a Peter Pan boot. The Flax color is more Grey than tan which is not what I was expecting and the shoe portion was a darker black than I had thought so the ultimate combination wasn't what I was looking for. I tried the boots on and they felt good. I wear a size 13 and they seemed true to size or at least I wouldn't want them any smaller. However, both of my heels came up when I walked. After switching out of dress socks, to athletic socks and also wool socks my heels still came up when I walked. Lastly, the soles are the classic rope-chain tread design. This has worked great for years on other "Duck Boots" (L.L.Bean), but not what I wanted for the snow. What I did really like was the Thinsulate insulation was around the foot as well as the ankle area unlike many other boots of this type. Overall, the quality appeared great and these would be a great slip-on boot for the right foot in the right application, just not mine.

I\'m a big fan of Zappos/Amazon and their products and customer service. For me, the Cabella\'s private label extreme series was a better fit with better sole

Solid boots -
Because they don't have laces, they tend to slip up on my heel a little bit. However, they have padding in place that prevents this from happening too much. They are very breathable for rubber boots. My feet don't get too hot or sweaty. And they're kind of ugly, but does it really matter in the winter?

Great weather boot!
They'll make you look like a fish-gutter from Anchorage, but boy do they do the job! They do feel a half-size smaller though. Otherwise, they're as weather-proof as can be for around $70.

These boots are easy to slip in and out of and so far they have kept my feet dry and warm. The flip side is that they don\'t feel tight on your feet.

Pros: looks very nice, keeps my feet dry, nice and warm, very comfortable, and actual shoe size for me. Cons: rubber sole has no grip on snowy/rainy condition. It gets very slippery. Not too many people have mentioned about this. Overall: happy with this shoe, but I have to be careful in the concrete areas. Hope this helps! By the way, Zappos had an excellent customer rep.

Re-review -
I'm the same person that posted the first review on these boots. One year on, the boots are a total failure! Firstly, the outsole is poorly sealed around the boot (upper), allowing water to creep not only in between the outsole and insole, but also inside the boot itself! To boot, the outsole design is wholly incompetent--the boot has no traction whatsoever! Altogether, these defects defeat the primary purpose of the boot--to serve as sturdy wintry foot apparel.
Get a Caribou instead. Those seem to do the job.

I have to echo another reviewers report about these boots. They feel as if there is no difference between the left and right foot, or at least not enough difference. The boots feel odd on my feet. They are also a little narrow on my medium width foot, but are rubber so this is not a concern. The quality of construction is good. I guess I'll keep them and see if they conform after some wear.
