The most important thing that Keen shoes offer me is the wide toe. Lots of other brands brag about "toe room," but in my experience they fail compared to Keen. Because of the wide toe look, they won't win many style points, but do I care. Not at all! This diabetic is happy!

The shoe fits well, looks good and feels good. This is my second pair I bought my first pair about 15 years ago, and swore I'd get another pair, so here I am. If they continue to make them I'd probably get another p air

My husband really likes these shoes, they are very comfortable. Unfortunately the glue started to come apart where the sole meets the shoe a bit, just in the first couple weeks of wear! Hence only 4 stars.

I've had several pairs of Keens, including a pair of these same shoes (the Austins) in the past. These don't feel quite as comfortable as previous iterations, but they still fit well, the wide toe box is nice, and they cup the heel well.

I think I’m on about my 10th or 11th pair of Keen Austins. All but one pair have been perfect in fit and performance. They have improved the quality of the laces and the insoles pull out to accommodate custom orthotics. The toe box is wide enough and I sense no pressure points. My only fear is that Keen might stop making them at some point….then what????

The tongue of the shoes are too long and very firm, almost hard at the end. This digs into the front of my lower shins and is quite painful if worn for any amount of time. Hopefully they will break in over time. For now I re-laced them so that the laces that are one lace hole closer to the toe go thread through the tongue slot, pulling the tongue forward a bit more. Not ideal, but I've loved the other Keen Austins I've had in the past because of the large toe box.

Great shoe. I’ve had them for three years now and they are still in great shape. They are comfortable, fit as they should, and are an all-around good choice as a travel shoe. I wore these in Italy in the rain and my feet stayed dry throughout. Planning on taking them to Scotland this Spring. These are my go-to when I need a “dressier” shoe and the weather is wet or cold. I’ve hiked in them and wore them on streets. I’ve worn them to work and out to dinner.

These shoes are very good and comfortable enough for walking. I bought them for cycling and they great for that purpose. Stable on the pedals and tough enough for gravel roads.

I have worn this style of shoe for over 10 years. Fit is always fantastic and they are extremely durable

Very, Very stiff!. Quite uncomfortable.

These are my husbands casual favorite shoes. He has rather severe fallen arches and suffers from a good deal of foot pain. Over the years he has probably had 8 pair of these Keens rotating them between casual wear to his work shoes. They provide very good support while not looking like an orthopedic shoe. He hopes they are never discontinued.

These are great shoes. My second pair and only because I finally wore the soles of the first pair. I was going to try a different style and thought that I wouldn't like them as well as the "Austin", so I stuck with these. Comfortable, well-made, good looking, what more could you want?

Shoe style is geared for practicality. Interior is closer to actual foot shape, not pointed like most. Exterior not garish. Too many shoes that might fit come multicolored for the most part which limits where one can wear them without looking silly!

Always a great fit! Plenty of room in the toe box.

I have been a loyal wearer of Keen sneakers for 12+ years, and have never encountered a style so horribly uncomfortable fresh out of the box. The upper is extremely stiff, including the tongues - the rubber logo sewn on the tongue is positioned so that even if you try to bend and soften the tongues, they will not sit comfortably. The laces feel cheap and stretchy - to the point where while walking, the shoes kept loosening up so that my foot would shift just enough to rub against the super stiff back of the heel. A short walk (just over a mile on mostly smooth sidewalks) left me with blisters on the back of both feet, and pain from where the top of the tongues dug into the front of my ankles.

These were much stiffer than previous versions of this same shoe. They instantly hurt where previous versions were instantly very comfortable. Not sure what changed but am returning these.

Worth the money

This is my third pair of Austins. I really like how Keens are wider at the toe, and once broken in are incredibly comfortable. I wish they could be resoled, because the uppers are in fantastic shape, not a loose stitch in sight.

I got these for my husband. He never says, but he wears them so that must be an ok!

Shoe was very small and had to send it back unfortunately. However Zappos return policy if fast,easy and awesome. Will buy again from Zappos.
