This was too narrow for my Size 6, wide foot.

I liked these sandals, but for this price, I didn't like them quite enough. I am normally a small 8 (often a 7 1/2 in open toed shoes), and a 39 is often too big. I ordered the 39 in these because the reviews said they ran short, and even the 39 was a tiny bit short on me (maybe 1/4 inch). The shoes are also very narrow, as others have said, and even though I have narrow feet, the combo of the short length and the narrowness made me feel like there just wasn't enough of a platform for my feet. The footbed was OK, but not as cushioned as I would have liked (I'm going to Europe and will be walking all day every day). I normally adore Naot shoes, but these just weren't love at first sight.

They ran a bit small and narrow. Did not love the color.

This review of the Naot Rachel holds true for several of their current styles: Beware, they are NARROW! I have medium-narrow feet; my usual problem with shoes is that they're too wide, if anything. I have worn and loved several pairs of Naot's in the past; their footbed is supportive and comfortable, and most have adjustable straps. But something has changed: All the styles I ordered this season are so narrow that my forefoot hangs over the edge! I ordered a size up, hoping that would help, but they're just longer and just as skinny. I know the descriptions say the "elegance collection" runs narrow-to-medium, but these are straight-up narrow. I have an old pair of Rachels that I love, and was hoping to get a back-up pair for when they eventually die. I'm sorry Naot changed something that worked so well for me! (On the upside, if you have narrow feet and can't easily find sandals that fit, try these!)

I have many pairs of Naot sandals but these were a bit stiff and not as comfortable as before, also a little snug.

This sandal is cute, and I love Naot sandals. That said, this was a disappointment; it runs very small and is very narrow. My wide foot could not even fit into the lower part of the sandals and the edges of the leather felt sharp and hard.

Bought these for a cruise and wore them a lot. By the end of the trip they were unwearable because of the stretching issue others had also mentioned. So basically, they sit in their box looking pretty but useless. Very disappointed. They are pricey and that should not have happened. I have medium slightly narrow width feet.

I bought a pair of these sandals a couple of years ago. They are very cute and I love them. For a while they were the most comfortable sandals that I own. But after a few months they stretched so much that I can no longer wear them very comfortably though they are far from being worn out. I suppose that it is good to have a pair of comfortable sandals for a few months but since Naot shoes are quite expensive, I would prefer them to last longer.

I bought this sandal 3 months ago - it is really attractive but...I have a narrow foot and this sandal is in the narrow to medium category. It fit really nicely when I bought it but it has now stretched out so much that it is actually not safe to wear. My foot falls off the footbed. It is far too pretty and expensive a shoe to throw out so I am going to try inserts to see if I can tighten up. Beware! Make sure the sandal is really snug when you buy it. I bought my regular size 8 - length is good - and it is comfortable if you can keep it on your foot.

I really wanted to like these, but I have to return. First, it seems like the adjustable strap and the one with the velcro are way too short (I didn't think my ankles were that chunky!?. My heel was almost hanging off the edge and there wasn't a lot of room for my toes. Also, as another reviewer noted, the leather seems flimsy...not what I expect from a Naot. I am disappointed, as Naot is one of my fave brands. I'm going to return and see if I can find another sandal that is of better construction. For what I paid, I expected better. Finally, the way Zappos packaged the shoe, I thought it was a return. It was just thrown in the box with some Naot wrapping. Really, Zappos?

These sandals are the most comfortable ones I've ever owned. The arch appears more appropriate for someone with a high arch. I ordered the 39 and usually wear a 7 1/2. Looking at the foot bed they appear to be the correct size , but the velcro straps stretch within a few wears. This deters me from considering such an expensive sandal in the future. If it were made with holes that could be adjusted, stretching wouldn't be an issue. I began wearing the sandals on August 6th and the velcro is already stretched to the max.

This is odd. I have two other pairs of Rachels by Naot and they fit me perfectly. These are too narrow!!! (And I wear narrow to medium all the time. I own almost the whole "Elegant" by Naot collection because they fit perfectly! So I don't know why these Pearl Black are too narrow, but they are. Also, just to reinforce this: I wear a 9 1/2 N to M shoe/sandal and find the sz 40 too short. I always buy 41's in Naot and they're perfect. Now that I know that it's no problem. But if you're a first time buyer, please note this. Otherwise, they're great like my other Rachels and Naot sandals.

This nice shoe runs short. I always take a 9 but the size 40 left my toes hanging over the edge.

Too tight around the toes. Also, the light buff color isn't very flattering. I'm returning them for another pair of Naot Paris.

Not as comfortable as the old model. I have this original model that I hoped to replace. The leather on this shoe is very stiff - not supple like the old nu-buck model. Also, it squeaks! So sad to send it back but it did not live up to the older model.

Strange: I have these shoes in red and they fit fine. These black ones are too narrow.

I had to buy a half size larger than I usually wear to get a good fit in the arch, but the straps were a little loose. I don't have a wide foot. After two days of wearing them, the velcro strap kept coming undone because I had to pull it tighter so it wouldn't be so loose, but it didn't close on the velcro good enough. I bought them for a trip to Spain where I would be walking several miles a day, at least. Took them to a little local shoe repair place and for $6.95, he took about a half inch off the buckle end of the strap. That did the trick for Spain, but I hope the straps don't stretch out anymore! I've only had them about a month. Get lots of compliments on them. I do like them, just wish they fit a little better. Seems like they are made for wider feet. I walked all over Madrid and Santander with them, though, and they were fine. I've had plantar fasciitis in both feet so good support is a top priority but I wanted something stylish for wearing with skirts and dresses, too. So far, they are the best sandals I've had (and the most expensive, too).

I loved these shoes at first. I bought them for a trip to Mexico City that involved lots of walking and they were perfect (and looked cute). The problem is that within 3 or 4 months they had stretched out so much that my foot slides around and they're no longer comfortable walking sandals. That's a short lifespan for expensive shoes (expensive to me, anyway). Part of the problem could be that the footbed becomes a bit slick after a few months of wearing (instead of suede-like with a little more traction). So that adds to the foot-sliding-around problem. I do love these shoes. I wish there were a way to shrink them back!

Sizing issues - I ordered the size comparable to the sz 9 which I wear. I was happy to see that they fit me well width wise, but were too short. I then re-ordered the next biggest size to get the length correct, but the width is way off and my foot just slops around in them even with the strap tightened as tight as it goes. They are comfortable and look good, but I will have to take them to a repair place to see if they can make them actually fit me. I would say there is inconsistency in the sizing from the 9 to the 9 1/2.

I totally agree with the comment made about stretching out. I loved the shoes at first and so comfortable, but the problem is that after awhile of wearing, the shoes stretched out so much. What is going on with that. I have 3 pairs and the black ones have stretched out on the sides. I will never buy them again.

These sandals are cute and comfortable so I would like to recommend, but sorry, as mentioned by other reviewers they do stretch out a lot. Mine were unwearable after a summer of occasional use. I've had better luck with other Naots.

The unexpected problem w/this shoe is that the strap is not secure when fastened. I think it is too short and becomes undone too often. Or else the shoe is too narrow across the instep. I have AAA to AA foot which is why I feel the problem is in how it is made. I have thought of calling the mfg but don't know how to contact them or if it would do any good. I also would like to return to Zappos but I no longer have a box to use or the slip. Can you help me? I do love the style and have other Naot shoes without any previous problems.
