This is my first pair of Uggs and I love them. I ordered a half size bigger based on reviews and was glad I did. They fit well with thin socks and keep my feet toasty. They're too snug with thick socks. I do a lot of walking in NYC and they're very cushiony and comfortable. I like how you can either wear them folded down to expose fur or folded up for more leg coverage. PS-I went to a store in NYC (not the Ugg store) and they told me these boots only came in whole sizes, not half sizes. I don't know if salesman was lying or what, but half sizes are available in Ugg stores and online.

Bought for my wife and she loved the look of the boot. However, the sizing was at least 1/2 too small. Had to return for larger size.

I ordered these in the stout leopard color, and they're very very cute and extremely well made. LOVE the sole. Wish Ugg would put this sole on the classics and bailey buttons. These boots run about 1/2 size too small. I always wear a 7 in structured Uggs (Brooks, Belcloud, etc.) and the 7 in these was definitely too short. I never wear socks with Uggs, and I always want my boots fully lined. These are fully lined in sheepskin shaft, ankle, top of foot, and footbed -- so they're super comfortable. If you need a short to mid-calf waterproof warm comfy boot this is an excellent choice. Just be sure to order 1/2 or 1 size up depending on if you want to wear socks.

I have had UGGS since 1982, I wish they all were made in Australia since the fashion boots are not and sometimes not as durable, but the Classic boot does last forever and can be worn anytime, any where. I can't wait to wear my Adirondack Boot II out on the hiking trail and at work, a very comfortable boot. Just love it.

After reading several other reviews of the Adirondack II, I decided to splurge on this pricey boot. I tried the boot on without socks and it felt very comfortable, like the typical Ugg sheepskin lining - ultra soft and luxurious; although I may need an acrylic sock or some kind of thin liner sock as sweating may be a minor issue. As I walked around my house I noticed the inner tag of the boots was slightly scratchy against my (bare) foot, which would be another reason to wear socks. I may cut the tags out. The sole is sturdy, the upper material is as well and the laces tie easily and stay tied. The boots are not heavy and are easy to walk in. They are pretty attractive compared to many other winter boots; so being practical as well as looking nice is a plus, when most winter/harsh weather boots, in my experience, are purchased for function over fashion. The real test will be when the first wet snows hit, but for now, I think these are a good investment. I also noticed, as I slipped the boots on and had my fingers inside, a bit of black rubbing off from somewhere, but it was not a lot. I could not figure out where this came from. However, when I took the boots off, there was no black smudge/prints on my feet, at all, like some other reviews have reported. I may even order another similar style in a different color, I think a wine/maroon colored pair would be great to add some color to those dreary winter days!

I love these boots! I purchased them at the Ugg concept store in Chicago 10/27/2012. I wore them 3 days later as our state (Ohio) received freezing rain and snow from Frankenstorm Sandy. I felt the tread was good for the icy sidewalks and my toes were toasty. I wear a 6.5 shoe and I would say these boots are true to size, but I felt my toes needed a little more wiggle room and purchased the size 7. The boot has a nice snug feel (no rubbing on heel or toes), and I won't need thick boot socks..just some regular knee socks do the trick.

The boots are wonderful I love the design and looked at them because I'm about to be stationed in Greenland. I read all the reviews that said order half a size bigger. I did, and even without socks they were still too small so I had to order a whole size bigger. Still worth the price to me. I live in North Dakota now so they work well with the cold.

Very cool looking. I get compliments when I wear them. I have a B-width size 10.5 foot. Size 11 toe-to-heel fit is just right. I'm surprised that the boots are as wide as they are. Socks make it okay, but they don't fit as well as my old (10+ years) Sorel fashion ladies' boots. I insist on high-quality footwear. Reviews were one reason I got these. Good waterproofing and warmth; I slopped water on them while washing the car, and none got through. Waiting for a good slushy storm to give them the real test.

My first pair of UGGs. I admit my expectations were through the roof. I wanted a boot that would be all things - good in hot, cold, wet, dry, overcast, sunny, upscale and casual and so was told "UGGs" - the sheepskin is the key for temp control, no socks. Well, they are cute, stylish, but a little too "combat boot" to wear with a skirt. That may be because I probably should have returned them for 1/2 size smaller - my toe is about 1/2" from the end of the boot, but then the blistering/rubbing would probably have been worse (see below). I have wide feet, stubby toes. They are definitely more geared for narrow long feet. Living in Florida, I wore them today when it was overcast, drizzle and 77 deg. The perfect test. My feet were so hot all day, my whole body heated up - I just wanted to take these off. But, kept them on just in case I needed to acclimate to them. After 10 hours, I was done and had to get them off. True, they didn't feel sweaty, but feet felt like they were in an oven. I can't see wearing these for anything but cold or very cold weather (cold to me which is about 55-60 deg). Anything hotter would be fairly uncomfortable to extremely uncomfortable (like today). Additionally, the "fur" out the top of the boot is fake as far as I can tell, the sheepskin doesn't start until about half way down. So, they rubbed up and down my shin/calf all day with scratchy acrylic/nylon feeling fur and I was wearing them pretty tight but they still moved up and down my calf when walking. I thought I may get a blister on my calf/shin. I'm still very red and irritated but no blister. And, the "tongue" is attached to the boot so when it hit me wrong in my ankle bone I couldn't move it out of the way like other shoes. I also had to put a band-aid on my little toe after an hour of wearing due pressure and constant rubbing at the seam. Bottom line from all this is I simply cannot wear these without socks...thus, defeating the whole purpose of the sheepskin...which didn't really work in regulating the temp of my feet anyway. With sock (in cold weather) I think they'll be just fine. So, my review sounds very negative, but just telling you where it didn't meet my (very high) expectations so you can decide what you need out of this shoe. So,in the end, very expensive to be just winter shoes (Florida has about 3 days of winter) instead of year round rain shoes (we have 365 days of rain). But, they are truly cute enough that I can probably take them with me when I visit colder places and in a pinch during a tropical storm/hurricane they'll definitely keep my feet dry I am hoping - I will simply wear tall socks/leggings. Too bad they won't work year round, I kind of expected it to be too good to be true so am disappointed, but not surprised.

These boots should be re-sized or the description of the product altered to indicate that is does run small.

Use for snow and rain days. It's soft and comfortable and does not need socks to wear. Only Problem is the lips tend to chafe my shin.

I was having trouble finding a boot that would keep my feet warm during this New England winter and these were finally the ones that did the job. I sang your praises multiple times while out plowing the snow. I only wish that they had a zipper closure for ease of putting on and off - the only thing I would change. These are the best boots I have ever bought and look forward to many years of enjoying them.

Great for cold weather and snow and also rainy days. I bought mine for walking my dog who likes to go out every day no matter what. They run small, about a full size small. This was the second pair I ordered due to the sizing issue. I also like them because not everyone has them like the most well-known "UGG" boot.

these boots are the best boots. I am glad I spent the money on them. At first I thought they were too expensive but they are worth every penny. Hope they last long.
