Comfort!! These shoes are very light weight and extremly comfortable. I wear them everyday and they are almost as comfortable as my street shoes. I am on my second pair and they stand up very well also. The only problem I had was they rubbed my small toe for a couple of days at first but they are perfect now!!

Great Shoe - I've been wearing these everyday, at work, for a year. They are very comfortable, and have been from the beginning. The top closure is a speed-lace, making them a breeze to put on, and take off. They look good, and the tread makes them great in sloppy weather. I'm up and down cement stairs all day and otherwise walking around a casino floor. The tread and exterior are holding up better than expected. The interior lining is beginning to wear through, with no effect on the overall comfort. My company, annually, reimburses me for any steel-toe shoes (I choose to buy). I'll be ordering my second pair next month.

Timberland Pro Mudsill Low Steel Toe - I have had these shoes now for six months and I would have to say I would not purchase another pair of these shoes again. When I received them 9/2006, I had to remove the inner sole and replace it with a liner that had arch support and some degree of comfort. The sides split in about 4 months and the inside lining at the back of the heel was gone in 3 months. The bottom sole of the shoe is it's only redeeming factor. It has worn well and grips well.

Great for a steel toe! These shoes have excellent non-slip traction and a very comfortable in-sole for long days on your feet. My only complaint is that even for a wide I can still feel the sides of the steel toe insert rubbing against the big toe/ball of my foot. My typical shoe is an 8.5 4E so take that in mind when looking at your needs.

Great steel toe work shoe - This shoe looks and performs great. The aggressive tread has worked great in the snow and ice we've had this year; I use these on a milk route so I'm outside in all kinds of weather. These shoes are also comfortable right out of the box, especially for a steel toe, with plenty of room in the toe box.

Good work shoes - 9 out of 10 - I have owned and worn the Timberland PRO Mudsill shoes for about 2 weeks now. They are comfortable, but not the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. The shoes feel like they hold my feet well. No slips - the grip and traction has been very effective in the snow and ice that we have recently had. I feel sure footed wearing these shoes anywhere. Nice looking and look like they are made to last.

A little hard on the heel - I normally wear Dr. Martens but I wanted a hiking type shoe so found this one. Overall a great shoe but the first day that I did real work in them (I'm normally behind the desk), the balls of my heels hurt for the next couple of days. I have received a lot of compliments from the other people in the office and they all usually wear Dr. Martens too.

Great shoes - I bought these for my husband, a mechanic. He is on his feet most of the day and has always ended the day with foot and knee pain. I decided it was about time he got a decent pair of shoes and these fit the bill plus more. He has loved them and wears them daily. They are very comfortable and have minimized the wear and tear on his feet and knees. Plus they look good too. Not too trendy and not too old fashioned. Just right for a manly man.

I bought this shoe for my son. He works with heavy objects and needed the steel toes. He thinks they are great. They fit perfect and look better than most work shoes. He loved having them come to his door in two days. Zappos is the best way to shop for shoes. I've bought shoes for my entire family and tell everyone about Zappos.

Good shoe. True fit. I found the shoes comfortable right out of the box. I wanted the black ones, though :(

Extremely Light - This could be the most comfortable and lightest "steel toe" shoe on the market

Great Fit! Great Look! I work 12 hour shifts standing on concrete and these shoes keep my feet feeling great with out having to add gel inserts like I normally have to do with most shoes. The fit is wonderful but I have a minor complaint with the fit. Tying the laces tight can cut into the top of my feet because the tongue of the shoe does not offer much in protection. This shoe is very lightweight considering it has a steel toe which in my opinion adds to its comfort ability. As for the look it looks great but the laces look silly. Replaced laces with regular black laces.

Nice work shoe - This is my second pair of this style Timberland PRO series work shoes. Timberland PRO, designs a very stylish work shoe that incorporates all the safety a person would need working in warehousing, trucking or construction. The light weight design helps to keep your feet feeling good even after working a 14 hour shift. I highly recommend the Timberland Pro series work shoes.

Nice Treads - This is one tough shoe. Nice tough pad on the head of the shoe. The treads on the bottom sold me in getting this one. It's like walking on truck tires. Two dislikes I'd like to mention on the blk/blk type. The soft cushion around the top of the shoe looks like a pajama pattern and the shoe laces are freckly ugly. I just replaced them with new straight blk laces. Great shoe though.

Unexpectedly Comfortable - I got the Timberland PRO's from Zappos 2 weeks before starting my new job, which requires steel toes. They ain't like wearing slippers, but they’re very comfortable, and require no break-in. My foot's a touch wide, so I got the EE's, and they are a perfect fit. It should be noted, I work mostly indoors, and on carpeted floors, but I would wear them outside at a construction site, if necessary, and a low-top was appropriate. In addition, the women are very attracted to my Timberlands, making me happy.

A good all around shoe. I wore these right out of the box for an 11 hour day on my feet. The comfort was excellent. I found the shoes to be a little narrow at first but by the end of the first day they had stretched out a little and were fine.

Handy shoes for a handyman - As a semi-retiree I still face a long list of home improvement chores and need a steel toe shoe for protection from my metal bladed weed whacker. Instead of opting for a leather steel toe boots I chose the Mudsill. Excellent all around working shoe. After three days of deck cleaning using strong cleansing solutions, the Timberlands were unfazed. The rubber toe took scuffing without signs of abrasion, the aggressive tread was self-cleaning and skid resistant. I never wear "construction boots" on a daily basis, but these Timberland Mudsill are so useful and comfortable that I wear them from sunrise to sunset most days.

Great shoe for landscaping - Have worn this shoe for my landscaping job for 10 6-day weeks so far, and it's great. The shoes have held up well, they are extremely comfortable, and have resisted staining (and a lot of grass clippings and dirt!). The sole is very rugged and so far has not shown any signs of wear. Very pleased to have ordered these.
