Top seam starts to unravel - I love the shoe but the seam on top unravels in less than a year. I have purchased these shoes for quite awhile and the last two pairs have done this. I am becoming very disappointed with the shoe if it happens again, I will have to try a new shoe brand/style.

This shoe runs narrow. My husband wears an 11-EEEE shoe. I have ordered and now returned these shoes. They seem to run a little narrow, as compared to other New Balance shoes. However We LOVE New Balance shoes. As a matter of fact, I don't think my husband has owned athletic shoes other than New Balance for ten years! This is the only brand of shoe that he can buy and know that they will be true to size and fit (with the exception of this shoe.)

608 not for me - I tried this New Balance and found that it was somewhat uncomfortable... I then went to a local mall and tried all kinds of new balance shoes, first 9.5, then 10... 'cause i usually wear either of these sizes depending on shoe and manufacturer, I even tried wide widths... bottom line is that i can't wear new balance, period... the good news is that ASICS shoes are made to order for my particular foot... go figure!

I tried, didn't work out - I tried this shoe in several sizes and widths and it just didn't fit properly. I rarely have issues finding comfortable shoes, but this one didn't make it for me. I tired a Medium (D) width first in 8 and 8.5, too narrow. I then tried Wide (EE) in an 8 and still no good. I sent them back.

Bring back the 626!!! I wear a 12 4A, but can make do with 12 2A athletic shoes. Prior to these, I have never had to break in a pair of sneakers. These are the most painful sneakers I have ever worn - why I did not return them is beyond me. The width is narrow enough, but the toe box could easily accommodate 2 inch high toes. These feel like the shoe is too deep. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

Size didn't fit - I ordered a 9, (my size) was way too small, ordered a 9.5 was also too small ordered a 10, too big kind of feel like goldilocks here except she found the perfect size in the end.

The shoe felt a lot smaller and narrower than any other New Balance shoe I have bought before.

New Balance has changed - I have been buying New Balance sneakers for over 20 years. They always had a good fit. I ordered 11 double E, and my foot would not fit. Same size for all these years. Had to go to 11 4E, to get a fit...

Disappointing - This is the third pair of black MX608s I've owned, but I'm going to have to send this one back for being too small. It's not just uncomfortable - it's unwearable. The sole is visibly shorter than the "identical" shoe it was supposed to replace.

Not for me - I bought this shoe for work; I am an emergency room nurse and am on my feet for 12 hours at a time. At first they were comfortable enough, but after about two weeks I noticed that my arches hurt so bad at the end of my shift that I could barely walk. I kept at it for a few more weeks thinking that they might need to just break in, but finally had to get a new pair. I've always had good luck with New Balance and have had good luck with the pair I replaced them with. (Model #996).

Uh... Customer Service is top notch. New Balance shoes purchased in stores have been top notch. These shoes (ordered in medium) fit as if my right foot is slightly wider than my left. After ordering a second pair (which btw this second pair had a frayed shoelace on the right shoe), I settled, switching out shoelaces and proceeding to pound the pavement thinking that it just needs to be worn in a bit. Two days now and it still feels a bit off. And now I can't return them. Is New Balance supplying Zappos with B-stock merchandise?

After 3 months of agony, just so-so. I have been trying to break in these incredibly uncomfortable mid shoes for over three months now. They are only a bit more comfortable now but their very narrow toe on the wide width is still bothering me. Also, THEY REFUSE TO STAY TIED! Also, for someone like me that wears them all day, they have no arch support. My heel spur pain can attest to that. I definitely would NOT recommend these shoes for people with wide widths.
