Winter Business Shoe - Needed something to wear to work and the driving range during these wet winter months. (quick change to cleats) What size to pick? My USA 9 (Euro 43), or the Euro 42, (USA 8 - 8.5). While a tool measures my foot out at 9, I'm having better luck with Euro 42. The shoe is tight at the beginning of the drawstrings, towards the front, where the tongue attaches to the vamp. Just left those strings loose. No problem. What a great, stylish shoe, which does the job. Ecco could lose the metal Gore-Tex tag. No one is reading it, and it cluters up a clean, solid leather side panel look. Enough with LOGOs!! H.S. Trask Grindlewald was a close second!

Great Shoe! Bar none, these were the best pair of shoes I ever owned. The soles took four years to wear through and the top stitching had to be resewn after three and a half years, but considering that I wore these nearly every day through every kind of weather and work extreme, I'd say they held up very well indeed. How long they last is important, but when you nearly $200 for a pair of shoes, you also hope for a bit of comfort... and I've never owned a pair more comfortable (unless it'd be my other two pairs of Eccos.)

Close to an ideal oxford, but no cigar - Track II is a padded tongue and full padded collar roll from being perfect. Shoe is good as is, but why the collar roll does not contiune across the heel cup is a mystery to me. Causes the heel to slip when walking. Shoe is water tight and stylish, but needs those couple of features to be ideal. Shoe manufactures should just call me - I've worn out so many pairs in my life, I know my shoes! This one isn't bad, but could be so much better--especially at this price.

Could have been great except for one thing - I have the same problem which most people who bought this shoes had - it hurts the top of the feet. Apart from that, it fits well and and looks good.

Great shoe - I have had this shoe almost 3 yrs, I work construction and I was concered about the expense of the shoe and durabilty at first. I have been in and out of water so much with this shoe I feel as if I could swim in it and it would still keep my feet dry. That is good for me since I catch althletes foot really easy. However the shoe has been put through hard task with me it is starting to fail in cofortability and the seams the run along the front edge have been failing. I am cosidering buying a new pair. Cost is one isuue and I am still in question, on overall duribility for the long haul. I would expect a shoe of this cost to last me 5 yrs I would settle for 3to 4 good ones but I have only had this shoe 2.5 yrs and it has broke down.

Best for comfort, but not wear - Bought my pair in 1999. Have knee problem, and these are easily the most comfortable shoes I've ever had. I can walk forever without fatigue in these shoes. I wear them everyday, even jog in them. Recommend buying an extra pair of Ecco insoles. When you take the shoes off pop out the insoles. Insert the fresh pair next morning and the shoes stay fresh, even when worn daily. I agree that there are wear issues with this shoe, particularly given the $200 price tag. The toe stitching in mine started unraveling about 18 to 24 months ago. The soles have cracks through them which started 6-9 months ago. Still servicable, but water will leak through the soles. The new models seem to have a lighter colored composite material in the sole. Part of what I value in my pair is the sponginess in the sole that disipates the shock of your foot-falls. Hope that hasn't changed. I would prefer the wear and tear problems than to loose this performance feature. However, the stitching problem just should not happen. Overall, this is still a very good shoe.

The right shoe was very uncomfortably tight on the top of my foot where the tongue meets the upper. I had to exchange for a different shoe. Since isolated to one side I think it must have been a quality vs design issue.

I bought this shoes because of the great reviews it got saying how comfortable it was. I had it for a while now and I am very dissatisfied with the comfort level of this shoes. Its not worth half the price. I work 12 hour shifts on my feet and I had expected a better shoes but it's not living up to my standards of comfort. must say very rugged but comfort sucks. sorry!

I have have had 3 pairs of Ecco track type shoes, but this pair did not seem up to the standard of the others. The first pair, which I still have, was the very best, and they were made in France. Alas, the Chinese versions fall below that standard. They were not as comfortable, and were a bit tight at the front.

I normally wear a 11.5 or 12 depending on the shoe. I bought these in a 46, which I was worried might be too big, based on the fact that 46 is supposed to be equal to 12 or 12.5 according to Ecco. On the contrary, they were too tight, somewhat in the tongue, and even worse in the heel. This shoe rubbed my skin raw on the outside of each of my foot near the heel. It was ugly, particularly the left foot. I had a pair of Doc Martens which were also size 46 which didn't have this problem, so I don't know if it is something about how this shoe is cut or what. I really liked how they looked, and I wanted to like them, but they caused a hell of a wound on my both of my feet, so I had to return them.

I had high expectations, but I'm ultimately disappointed with the shoe. Within a couple months, albeit of constant use, the stitching has come undone at the toe. Next time I will just save my money and buy two pairs of a cheaper shoe.

I've owned many Eccos and love them all. Unfortunately, this shoe has a narrow toe box. My toes hit the front and outsides of the toe box. I've only discovered this problem after wearing them for a day, so now I can't return them -- or wear them for long. My advice is to buy a size or two bigger to make sure your toes don't touch.

This shoe is, as many others have reported, very comfortable, made with excellent leather, well constructed and very supportive. But after a few months of only intermittent wear I noticed that the heel of the shoe seemed to keep catching on stones and slight obstructions. At first I ignored this but when I examined the sole I found that the sole is merely a very thin layer of comparatively durable material over a core of very soft foam. This foam has almost Zero durability. In just a few more weeks the sole was totally wrecked. I loved the shoe otherwise and was greatly disappointed. I happened to mention this situation to my brother who had coincidentally also owned a similar Ecco shoe with the same kind of sole. He was even more angry than I and described the very same condition on his pair. It was a very good shoe with a very fatal flaw. I would never recommend this shoe to anyone. My brother sent the shoes back to Ecco for a resole but he was totally unhappy with the repair. I simply threw mine away.

I have worn the low and mid Track II's since 1997. Over the years they have changed the materials of the sole which makes them less likely to dry out and fall to pieces, but now they wear faster. The instep feels like it is cut a little tighter than the older ones, but that could be my feet getting fat over the years. They are a tad warm due to the Gore-Tex and leather, but they still are a decent shoe. They are not what they used to be. I have always felt that Ecco should make a summer version with no Gore-Tex. The Track II loyalists would surely buy them.

I bought these several years ago as an alternative to snow boots. We don\'t get much snow around here, though we do get some ice, so only wearing these when it snows or is icy meant they were worn 5-10 times per year. I had them about 5 years (5 years when wearing them 5-10 times per year means there was little to no wear seen or expected). I had to throw them away because the outer sole started to completely disintegrate leaving little pieces of rubber everywhere. Given how often I wore them, and the price, I would have expected these to last a lot longer.

The Comfort Was Not There - When I ordered the Ecco Track II Lows, I had very high hopes about these shoes. When they arrived, they were anything, but comfortable. The sizing was true, but the insert/sole was very stiff and unyielding to my foot and the materials in the tongue of the shoe painfully dug into the top of my feet. I tried relaxing the shoestrings and walking awhile to break them in, but nothing worked. Otherwise the shoe was true to width and length, but sadly I have far cheaper shoes from discount stores that I do not consider comfortable, but that I would still rate above this shoe in comfort (even just comparing the inserts). Others have mentioned this model was recently updated for the worse, so I still have hopes for Ecco and will try another model before I give up.

Not what I thought - They fit far narrower than labeled. Also a bit short. For the price, I expected better. Rockports much easier to wear out of the box.

Expensive shoe that hurts - I wish this shoe came in a wider width. Hurts my foot, I am hoping a few days of discomfort will wided and loosen up the shoe.

Disappointed - Well I bought a pair of these a year ago thinking well they are Gortex so they should keep my feet dry. Well, they did for awhile but soon the seams spread apart on the toe and the shoe began to tear of the bottom and they began to retain water. I have exchanged them three times and still nothing has held up. Nice if you only walk from the car to the building.

4 Wheel Drive Shoe - This shoe has a good looking rugged appearance and is built for hiking and off road wear. However, on my foot the lacing caused pain on the top of the foot. The laces can cinch up so tight that the top of the arch starts to ache. I recomend the high top version Track II if you have a high arch.

Ecco Track II Low - It supports the foot very well, and has very solid construction. It is also a very attractive shoe. The problem is that irritates after walking in it for a few minutes. At first, this was just a problem with my right foot, but then I felt the irritation in both feet.

Stitching tearing out! A very comfortable shoe. My only problem with them is the stitching is tearing out at the bend line over the toes. I have had them for 1 1/2 yrs, but for $180, I would not expect that. I wear them for office work only and wear them 70% of the time. In the future I will get another pair of Ecco's, however WITHOUT the stiching over the toes!!

I pulled out the removable insole to replace it with an orthotic, and the inside of the shoe (under the removable insole, normally hidden) was all disintegrated--black bits of plastic. Very strange. Returning.
