See Kai Run Kids

See Kai Run Kids Logo
In 2004, a Seattle mom was on a quest to find a shoe that was not only stylish but promoted healthy foot development in children. Not finding any shoes to her liking, she started the See Kai Run® footwear brand. Over the past fourteen years, See Kai Run gained a reputation with parents across North America for providing the best in children’s footwear. Using the science of proportional engineering, our footwear is built towards the ages and stages of early childhood foot development and features shoes that are lightweight and ultra-flexible. The See Kai Run® team constantly studies kids’ feet and carefully considers every detail that goes into each shoe, to ensure all styles deliver the best in fit from the crib to eight years old.

Our footwear meets the American Podiatric Medical Association's rigorous standards for foot health and functionality and has been awarded the APMA's prestigious Seal of Acceptance.

Kids’ shoes with bold, hip, fun, with an urban sensibility, became the creative inspiration behind See Kai Run® shoes. See Kai Run also needed comfortable, flexible kids’ shoes that could be worn in- or outdoors. Kids love the fun patterns on their feet while parents don’t have to sacrifice healthy foot development.

Zappos.com is excited to have partnered with See Kai Run kids’ shoes, fun and sophisticated shoes which add a stylish approach to daily life. See Kai Run® has definitely set a new trend with their wonderful kids’ shoes, catering to both boys and girls.

My six year old loves these shoes, and he is picky! However, they do not hold up well. We have gone through 2 pairs this winter and the second pair are barely hanging on. The black rubber detail around the front sole breaks off in chunks after some wear. The eyelets for the straps stretches out, and the fur lining rubs off. They are comfy and cute, but I expect better durability for the price.

4 year old loves them, but the finish does not hold up well. The edges are fraying after a few wears & she started peeling the iridescent finish off

According to the size chart that comes in the shoe box, my daughter needs a 5.5. She wears these in a 5, and it does seem a bit tight but a 6 would be too big. She wears a 5 in other brands.

Fit and size were true to see kai run standards. No issues with blisters. Kids were free to run in these And had no issues. Great that that could put them on independently too

Year after year these sandals are my kids choice. The film over the pink has began to wear off after only a few wears however hence the 4 star. We haven’t had that issue with other colors of this same sandal.

I have bought this in purple back in 2019 or 2020. They were WONDERFUL. I mean lasted all season, didn’t pinch, had foot structure. So of course the next year I bought another pair and now this year another pair. And this pair. Is very different than the previous two. The material is very soft and unfortunately not the same at all. No structure. Like the material is like paper. My daughter says they hurt too. And won’t wear them. So that’s that. They must have cut some corner in quality and I just paid almost 50 bucks for shoes that are pretty much trash. I hunted down an old version at a store local to me and when you put them side to side. It was like wow. Bummer and the shop owner was like wow I may have to stop purchasing them if this is how they will come

Got these to fit my son's new SMO braces and they're absolutely perfect. I just ordered a second pair so we can have one for indoors and one for outdoors. He's been wearing a size 8 of Cat and Jack shoes, and I ordered a 9 of these. There's actually a little room to grow in these but that's just fine, he's not tripping over them or anything. We were actually shocked at how well these fit after trying to find shoes at Target that could maybe work, and had no success. His foot slid right in, he has lots of room on the velcro, and they're wide and stable. And $40 is a great price for super easy and great looking shoes. I wish there were more colors that were less gendered so we didn't have two pairs in the same color, but so it goes. Glad we found these!

This will be my last pair of Kai’s. They do not hold up. This pair was toast after just a week, the rubber trim in the front came completely off. For $50, total disappointment.

The size of this shoe runs very large. They are absolutely adorable, however my son wore them one time and the quality is poor. And the tongue slides all the day down so my son was walking around with the tongue of the shoe practically hanging from the front sole.

I wanted these to work, hoping my kiddo could get them on faster since there’s so fastener, but neither of us found them easy to get on. Once they were on, the heel slipped.

The Kristin has been our go-to style for a few years now. I do have to tighten the Velcro quite a bit for my kid to feel secure in them even though the size before, which she grew out of, hurts her toes. Half sizes would be welcome.

I purchased these shoes last summer for my daughter when she turned 2 and she loved them. We purchased them again this year for the upcoming warmer weather and she’s already wearing them around the house and excited to wear them more with summer approaching (it’s been a cold spring in NJ). They are durable and versatile in that they look cute with regular clothes/dresses but can also get wet for water play and summer activities. We buy water shoes and Keen sandals for the actual water but these really held up to a lot of water play and washing. Other See Kai Run shoes have not worked out for my daughter due to being wide and she would trip easily in the high top and low top sneakers but she has no problem with these sandals.

I have had 3 pairs of these for my kids between ages of 2 and 5. They have been worn almost daily through fall and winter by 2 kids in the Northeast and have held up great considering. Kids can put them on themselves (although I definitely wish they had a grab loop in the back) and they’re warm and waterproof, never a wet sock on wet or snowy days. Only good reviews from us and if they made them in big kid sizes I would absolutely continue to buy them as my kids grew.

These fell apart pretty quickly - outer rubber along sole peels off - needs constant superglueing - but a 3-year old isn't very easy on any shoe

Shoe lasted about one week until it started falling apart. Same story with Zappos. Don’t believe we’ll be purchasing any more shoes here. Quality has just decreased substantially it seems.

We have historically loved see Kai for our kids. Unfortunately the quality on this pair was terrible. They looked like we had worn them for years after one day at school! The sole in the front was ripping off, ragged material, etc. FWIW, my daughter is not that rough on shoes so this was telling. Zappos’s had excellent customer service and took care of the issue thankfully.

My 2 year old has wide/puffy feet and See Kai Run seems to be the only brand that truly fits him. I love that you can open the velcro all the way to get their feet in. The style is very cute, the shoe seems well made, but I will say the rim of the shoe seem a bit stiff to me. My kid has not complained, in fact he really loves them and walks/runs in them every day for hours, but just my opinion compared to other styles.
