Lucchese

Lucchese Logo
The Lucchese™ Bootmaker story starts in 1880 when Sam Lucchese Sr. and his brothers came to America. He was just 17 years old at the time, but Lucchese knew he wanted to be a boot maker. Just three years later, the Lucchese Boot Company was born in San Antonio, Texas. In 1960 the founder´s grandson and namesake took over the family business and decided to rethink the art of boot making. Sam Lucchese Jr.´s fascination and understanding of the human foot inspired him to create a boot design that fit like no other. Although Lucchese´s one-of-a-kind boot's last design required more skill and time, the result was a boot that quickly gained national recognition for its extraordinary comfort, quality and fit.

No other boot fits the human foot like a Lucchese™ Bootmaker boot, thanks to their original design and meticulous construction. From the exclusive "twisted cone last" design and the careful selection and cutting of the finest grade of leather, to the hand-drive lemon wood pegs and meticulous finishing of a boot. Each step is considered critical to the finished product. The boot designs may demand more money, time and skill, but when you slip your foot into a Lucchese™ Bootmaker boot, you'll know why we insist on only the finest.

Every Lucchese™ Bootmaker boot is hand inspected twice. In virtually every procedure during the production on a Lucchese boot, human hands are relied upon to complete the task to near-perfection. Every inch of a Lucchese boot is made of the finest grade of leathers. Slip your foot into a Lucchese and experience comfort you never thought possible.

These boots are beautiful as only Lucchese can make. However, the leather is very hard, and the ornate stitching adds more stiffness to these gorgeous boots. Zappos’ sales price was outstanding, but I felt like I was wearing leg casts. I have thin legs. Unfortunately, I had to send these back. Comfort trumps looks.

Lucchese boots are the BEST! These boots are beautiful, and the leather is so soft. I got the chocolate and loved the slightly worn look. Nice and stylish Western boots.

These are beautiful boots. However, the pair I got had some large and very noticeable creases from others trying these boots on. The black is very dressy but can go with jeans. Unfortunately, back they go because of the creases.

Let me start by saying I love these boots so much that I ordered them twice. I was devastated after my dog ate one of my boots and had to replace them. Not an easy decision at this price point! I am a true size 5 and usually wear a 5.5 in heels for comfort. I bought the size 6 worried it would be way too large. They were extremely comfortable and I love the extra toe room. I never had any break in period other than slightly scuffing the bottom leather to make sure they weren't slippery when I wore them for the first time. The arch support is high enough to be comfortable and the toe box is perfect. I wear these boots everywhere. They are equally cute with jeans, leggings, and skirts. The quality of Lucchese boots is obvious in the craftmanship of the boots.

These boots are incredibly nice! The Alligator is extremely soft. The antique brown color makes the boot look worn in and beautiful. Lucchese is my favorite maker. The Giant Alligator Rio boots are made in U.S.A. at their factory in El Paso, Texas. I love them! What makes me even happier is the price I was able to get them for at Zappos.

Beautiful authentic looking boots. Fit can be hard based on one pair, handmade boots have inconsistencies, these feel narrow yet long, but I know they will break in. However, don't know if ordering half size smaller in the wide would work. Never ordered a wide before, but, maybe.

I agree with one of the reviewers that a pointed toe would have upped the elegance factor, been more fashion-forward, would have sharpened the look of these boots considerably. That said, the toe is only moderately squared off. After watching the video a million times, I figured I could live with it. Truly not a big deal in person. The workmanship and materials are first rate, the leather soft and pliable, and the scrolled embellishments are gracefully there but don't scream. Overall, the boot has a calmness and reserve that I like very much. I am a solid size 8.5, closed toe, ordered these in an 8.5 and that's what I got with plenty of room for my toes which I like. They went on easily with that nice snap at the heel and felt comfortable from the first. I love them. Exactly what I was hoping for.

I ordered these and received them really fast (next day). I was impressed with the service. They were too big and so I had to return them. I generally wear an 8.0 - 8.5. I ordered the 8.5. These felt like a size 9. They were way too big for me.

My first Lucchese boots and I love them! I wear a 6 in regular shoes but wear a 6.5 or 7 in boots. I purchased the 6.5 and it fits perfectly. They are comfortable right out of the box. I have a very high arch and I was able to get these boots on my feet with no problem. They are snug and not a lot of heel slipage. They will only get better with use. I love the light tan color and distressed look. It’s going to look great with dresses and jean skirts. A very cool boot. They are expensive but you are paying for top quality craftsmanship and comfort. These boots will last a lifetime!

I wear size 10 with a high arch and the size 10 fit pefectly. Beautiful leather, exactly as pictured. These booties get lots of compliments. They are on the "heavy" side, I think it's the heel.

Very, very cute boot! However, there is something weird with the arch, almost as it the pattern was cut wrong. I'm returning because the boot is uncomfortable - arch too high and back too far.

I love these boots...although it took me three tries to get the right size. I wear an 11 in normal shoes, and 10 mediums in boots I have from both Justin and Ariat. I first ordered a 10 wide in these, since mediums were not in stock. They were too short. I ordered a 10.5 wide and 10.5 medium next. The 10.5 wide fit well, while the medium width was way too tight. I have never worn a wide in any shoe or boot in my life, so I would venture to say these run narrow. A size 11 medium probably would have fit as well as the 10.5 wide, but I stuck with the 10.5 wide since I already had them in hand and did not want to try another pair. Other than having to try the various sizes, which Zappos makes pretty stress free, I love everything about this pair of boots.

Lucchese never disappoints, probably the best pair of boots I’ve bought. Sizes run smaller than your normal shoe size. For example I wear a 9 in men’s shoes but an 8D in Lucchese boots.

Well, I came back for my second pair of Lucchese boots. I had purchased "Harley" and they felt so good after wearing and walking for 8 hours I came back to my favorite shoe store (Zappos, of course) only to find that the distressed white was sold out in my size 8. But Yea!!, in just a few days they were listed as available again. I did order an additional pair a 1/2 size larger just to be on the safe side since they are cut lower on the ankle. But the 8.5 just broke wrong on my foot, putting a crease where it shouldn't be. Went back to the 8 and couldn't be happier. These are gorgeous boots and will be perfect in the summer too with shorts and skirts.

I'm in heaven with these boots. WAAAY more money than I ever thought I'd pay but after limiting myself to no more than $150 and finding nothing that felt comfortable (very high insteps and arches) I decided to take the plunge. Boy am I glad I did. These handmade boots are first quality and after close examination, I am convinced they will last a very long time. Oh, and did I mention comfort? They surpassed anything I have tried in the past - and I live in Nashville TN, boot capital of the western hemisphere... Boots sold on every corner (slight exaggeration!) But I digress - if you can wrap your head around spending a bit more, you will not find a more beautiful, better fitting boot. I ordered the flowered version in my regular size 8 and it's perfection. Did I mention I love these boots? I hope you will too.

Drop dead gorgeous boots! However, they are slim fitting: slim though the calves and narrow in the foot. I have wide feet with bunions, so I'm still wearing them around the house deciding if they will work or not. I really want them to work, but at this price, I need to be sure. The handwork detail on the boots is amazing. These are certainly a statement piece! If you've been looking at them, give them a try!!

These boots are beautiful, however they are not the color as shown. I would call them antique gold, not bronze. I was looking for the more copper colored boots as shown, I may be returning them.

Cute boot, but the pair I received had obviously been worn and returned. Tags cut, toes scuffed, the leather foot bed liner has peeled up in one boot and then turned under on itself, making a weird lump. I can only imagine that happened because of someone's foot friction. I'll keep them because they're sold out in my size and they're adorable, but I'm annoyed to pay 3 hundo, full price, for a luxury boot and get somebody's obvious return. Zappos needs an option to choose goods that have been returned less than pristine, offered at a discount. I would shop that all day long and be thrilled to get a lightly scuffed pair with cut tags and a sad box for a little less cash. Also I ordered a half size down from my normal because I plan to wear them without socks, and am pleased. They're just right, anticipate being able to stand or walk in them for hours.
