I was excited to buy this USA made great looking boot. I wear a 10-1/2 but needed an 11. The first thing I noticed when I put them on is the painfully uncomfortable foot bed. I could feel the laces on the sole even through padded socks. The last thing you want to do is have to buy aftermarket insoles to make wearing a pair of $400 boots tolerable. There is no padding for your foot. Wearing these feels like slapping a piece of thin hard rubber to the bottom of your foot. I couldn’t risk trying to break them in at this price so I returned them. I’ve never tried Helm Boots before but I am reluctant to given my experience with these.

Helm has a great brand on their hands that they build on illusion of image which would work if the product transitions over. I purchased this boot about a year and a half ago and first thing i mentioned to the sales guy was that it was too hard/stiff, then he says it'll take time to soften up. Ok, no problem, except its been a year and theyre still hard as a fcking rock and the top of the boot crushes down on the top of my foot. Ive known a couple of employees who have left and theyve informed me that this is a common problem and something theyre not willing to change or be proactive about. Aside from this boot, ive heard good things about the other models, but DONT BUY THIS MODEL. I would gladly trade anyone these for some Red Wings. Do yourself a favor, dont buy these boots. Great brand though, love the events and culture they aspire to be.
