About Robert Clergerie...

In the southeast of France, in a small town of Romans, there is an attic room with a treasure of shoes. The personal archive of Robert Clergerie sits there including designs that have changed the basic lexicon of his business. Robert Clergerie shoes come in every shape and size imaginable! In 1981, Robert Clergerie started designing his own line. He set it off with the lace-up oxford, a man's shoe made for a woman. He then did his parallelogram heel in 1984, which was so widely imitated that it was known as the "Clergerie heel."

Robert Clergerie focuses on uniqueness and comfort when designing. He continues to design architectural shaped heels in that look great and are easy to walk in! Robert Clergerie's oxford is famous and the accessory equivalent of the little black dress.

Robert Clergerie shoes, Robert Clergerie boots and Robert Clergerie sandals are made using only the finest materials and manufacturing techniques. The stretch suedes and leathers conform to the body and feel as if you have nothing on! Each Robert Clergerie shoe, boot, sandal and pump embodies superior comfort and exquisite styling. The fit was fine but the height of the heal with no cushion in he toe required me to buy a half size up. The style is absolutely gorgeous. My husband surprised me with these for my birthday. They are so unusual. I do see a risk of the scales becoming ragged though. They catch easily when fabric brushes against them. We will see. They're rather expensive for a short boot but they're unique and with the additional insole I put in the larger size, they fit pretty well.

This shoe is gorgeous. The leather is soft and looks sharp! I fell in love with it out of the box. The problem is the sizing is completely off. I bought my regular Clergerie size, and there was a huge gap in the back. Heels came off the shoe when I took a step. Sent that back. Ordered a whole size down, and my foot won't even go into it. Then ordered the in between size. And that fits big. I am so confused and disappointed. Wanted to keep this shoe, but the sizing won't allow it. So disappointing.

Beautiful boots, super stylish. I wanted to love them and wear them every day. Unfortunately I found them to be extremely uncomfortable and essentially unwearable. Something about the boot sock fabric that did not support walking, and the hard plastic around the toes in the front, made them difficult to walk in, even inside. I am sad these did not work out. This is totally the look I wanted. But I need comfort.

I've worn this brand before, but wore my normal size. This pair, however, ran really small in the length and also in the width. I was so disappointed because they are super cute!

Beautiful supple leather. Felt snug the first time I tried on and thought about returning them for a larger size. Tried on a second time, and then with a thin sock, and decide they would relax and be perfect. And they are. Look at the picture of the sole. It is "cut" and creates a slight rocking when you walk. Not sure the purpose of this cut but still love the boot.

I have wide feet and the width feels just fine. I love the quality of these shoes and am very pleased. I haven’t worn these more than 4 hours 3 times and they’re comfortable. I needed everyday shoes and these fit the bill. I wore them with skinny jeans and they look great with a skirt as well. I wear a size 9 but had to go up to 9 1/2. I have another pair of Clergie and had to go up 1/2 a size up with them as well.

Darling shoes. Unfortunately I have to return because they did not fit because I was trying to see which size I was in this brand and there were to small. But love the shoe itself

These were rigid and long. Made my feet look and feel huge. More like clown shoes than the extremely expensive shoes they are. I returned them. Still love Clergerie overall though.

Although I usually order a half size up to get the wider width I require, these were still too narrow. Too bad. Clergerie used to fit my feet, but now seem to be made with more rigid leather. I returned them.

Loved the look of this boot but they was just too narrow for my foot. I usually wear a medium width but these were just too tight even with thin socks. For a narrow to medium width foot, these would probably be fine. The length seemed true to size. Beautiful leather and style.

Beautifully crafted shoe; elegant and simple but far from plain. They will take any LBD to the next level. The shoes are comfortable and stable, which is important in a shoe this high. In fact, once you put them on and walk around, it is easy to forget they are so tall. They're definitely expensive, but so worth the splurge!

I have two pairs of Clergerie shoes and love them but they're both size 7 and too large, so I ordered size 37 (6.5) and they're too small (I toggle between 6.5 and 7). These boots are very smart looking, however. And beautifully made... although I dislike the zipper (I would rather they were buckle only).

I get so many compliments on these shoes. I was nervous about the price, but have bought several RC shoes before and trust the quality. These are a worthwhile investment.

These shoes smelled heavenly when they arrived. I reached into the leather scented box and was not disappointed. The leather is supple. I took some time to pet it before putting it on my foot. I have a high arch and with the zipper on the inside of the ankle, it was difficult to maneuver my foot into the shoe. I finally did and I think if I kept them it would get easier each time as the leather broke in. Alas, I have to return these because they are too small. I ordered the size 41 which Zappos said was a 10.5 U.S. and the largest that Clergerie makes. I order mostly size 11 shoes and I was so hopeful when I noticed these were marked 41.5 on the shoe by the manufacturer and said size 11 on the box. Trust Zappos though... they feel like a 10.5. They are also pretty narrow and squeezed my somewhat narrow foot on the sides. What was more disturbing was that the toe box is shallow and pushed on the top of my foot in a very uncomfortable way. With such nice leather (and if you actually wear a 10.5 shoe) this would probably not be an issue after a few wearings. I wanted to wear these with cropped pants but the 6.5in shaft is not quite tall enough (I am about 5'9 1/2" and wear a size 8, 32in inseam pant). They really need to have a 7 or 7.5 inch shaft to stay under the pants and look right.

Super cute but no room in the toe box at all. Not that it needs to be wider, it needs to be taller in the toe box it is so flat, you can not move your toes at all once inside the shoe. I am hoping with time they will stretch. Even if I went a half size up, it would not help because it is wide in the heel part and my foot would just slip arround. THinking of taking them to cobbler to see if they can make the toe box not as tight height wise. Never had that issue with shoes before. But they look cute with jeans, shorts or skirts. And super light and easy to walk in.

I have the black Vicoleo and the natural (very similar) Vicolem. I got 1/2 size larger than I normally wear to allow room for orthotic. They a comfortable and beautifully made, great for everyday wear and travel. While pricey, the quality of these shoes is completely worth it. They are effortless to wear. I am very happy!
