Via Spiga Reviews
Finally...the search is over! (Queue the Survivor song). I have been looking for a classic black dress boot for two years. I can never find a style that isn't too big around my calves. I do not have super skinny calves, but I don't like there to be much of a gap. I want something I can wear with dresses that I would either wear with tights or no stockings at all. I have worn stretchy boots in the past but really wanted to upgrade to some nice leather ones. This is the perfect combination classy, sexy, comfy. I wear an 8.5 / 9, and the 9 was almost too snug. If you're a standard 9, you may want to get a 9.5.
These are well made and the leather is incredibly soft. They run very narrow, though, I could barely put on the 9½, which is usually the top of the range that fits me.
I wear a size 8. This shoe has a longer toe bed, so I'm returning the size 8 and ordering a size 7.5.
I bought these shoes to wear onstage for a recital, and they were pretty comfortable. They seemed a touch on the larger side, so I put in some foot pads in the front of the shoe which fixed the fit for me, and kept my foot from sliding forward. They also go with just about every dress I have got because of the neutral taupe color.
This is a beautiful shoe, very versatile. Super comfortable. Nice quality, soft leather. Fit true to size.
Can I just say va va voom? I'm quite sad that the plum color is sold out in my size. I was able to get the black ones and oh my goodness they are so hot. They are pretty comfortable and I had surgery on both my feet a few months ago. The toe area is a wee bit narrow but it's tolerable. I normally get 6.5 for all my shoes and these were true to size.
These shoes are gorgeous and very sexy. I have to say I was slightly disappointed in the suede upper (expecting more stability/weight) but it is a dress shoe. I also would've expected a bit more padding under the sole (for the price). I do like the elastic heel strap! And they look great on!
These are classic, attractive boots. Looks good with jeans or skirt, fits nicely due to zipper size. Bad - heel is plastic with "leather" coating. Wore them to cocktail hour, and the leather on the heel peeled off just from me hooking my heels on the bar stool railing. Would return them but love the look. Way overpriced for quality.
I ordered and returned three other pair of riding-style boots before I got these. Wow. These are totally worth the money -- which I admit is a lot more than I usually spend on footwear. The only time I've spent this much on boots was when I actually had horses and wore real riding boots. These boots are incredibly well-made. The leather is luxurious. The stitching is impeccable. The zipper is full length and works well. They are fully lined in the most sumptuous leather. And, wait for it ladies, they're comfortable! I wore these to work last week and got a compliment from everyone in the office. And these are people who do not notice things including new glasses and haircuts! Without exception they all said, "Wow. Nice boots." Even the packaging was superior. Instead of those cardboard forms inside, they came with foam ones (sort of like Styrofoam, but not quite). I'm using those when the boots aren't being worn to keep them standing up straight in the closet. Fantastic! I'm glad I upped my budget.
I love Via Spiga shoes and these are super sexy. The only issue I had was the heel is loose on me. I wore tights and it made it better but that's it.
These are great boots! I get compliments every time I wear them. They are also comfortable. My one complaint is that they are a bit long.
I just received these boots and have to return them. They look beautiful out of the box, but the leather is loose and wrinkly in the front and the elongated roundness make them look clownish. I wear an 11 - maybe the front is less of an issue with smaller sizes.
I have super skinny calves and thought these would fit snug, but they were about 2 inches too baggy, which made them sag.
I have these boots in black. The quality is very good. The leather is soft like butter on the inside and smooth and rich on the outside. They're very comfortable and classy looking. A great buy.
This is a beautiful boot, and in my mind, the perfect riding boot. It is nicely fitted to my calf, but with enough room to tuck in skinny jeans. The leather is smooth inside and out, and seems very high quality. I am normally a size 8, and the 8 fits a little tightly, so I exchanged this pair for a half size larger and am very happy with them. I will give them 5 stars for comfort, but haven't walked in them outside of the house, or worn them more then 10 minutes, so take that with a grain of salt.
I have very high insteps so often have to order boots a 1/2 size larger than other shoes. I could not even get my foot down the short shaft of his boot - it does not stretch at all. I'm returning them, sadly. They are gorgeous if I could get my feet into them.
I absolutely love these booties. The suede is so unbelievably soft, and the tall stiletto heel adds a sexy edge. I usually hover between a size 7½-8 and went with the 7½ in these. They are still a little on the loose side, but will be perfect with socks. My heels are narrow and so they slip a little but heel huggers will take care of that. The platform makes the 4" heel manageable. They are very well made, and excellent quality. They will look fabulous with dresses, skirts, leggings, and skinnies.
