My son has been wearing this style since he graduated from Robeez shoes. They are very cute, they wear very well (always outgrown and passed on before they wear out), and they are comfortable. They are the only style I've found that do not have the "high heel" like so many athletic shoes have (I believe the high heel is very bad for proper posture and movement). I also marked "no arch support," but to me that is a GOOD thing! I find that built-up arches are uncomfortable and discourage a natural gait. So, I love this shoe and have already bought the next few sizes up as I know it will remain our shoe of choice as my son keeps growing. Thanks, Vans! And thanks, Zappos, for the great choices and great shipping/return policies!
Brands I'd also recommend: SoftStar, Ugg

Great looking and sturdy. My 6-year-old feels super cool wearing these skateboarder big-guy shoes. I love them because they aren't hideous.

I love these shoes. I've been getting these for my son since he has been able to walk. They run a half size big.

We have bought a lot of Vans (four boys) over the years and these hold up the best by far. Other Vans tend to tear, these do not. My youngest son likes Velcro so these are perfect.

Great looking shoes! My daughter is in a private school and needed sneakers for gym and daily wear. These were perfect because there was no bling, but they looked great! Matches the navy in her uniform very well!

Excellent delivery time & well worth the wait. Fit was true to size. My son is 4 and plays hard. So far, great school yard durability. The best part for mom is that they wipe clean with a damp cloth. Go Vans!

Had to order a replacement. Size was huge; I'd say at least a whole size larger than typical. Great shoes otherwise.

My son really likes these shoes, we have actually bought them in three different sizes. It is great to have the velcro straps when hurrying to get ready in the morning. They also don't look like other velcro strap shoes which tend to look like they are for a toddler.

Bought these for my 7 year old. At first the heel cup was a little stiff and they seemed clunky, but the heel cup got softer and the 'clunkiness' never got him down. He really likes these shoes and I like them because they make for a quick morning with the velcro straps rather than working on the shoes with laces. He has completely worn out his first pair and I'm about to order the next size up. He really likes these shoes!

Vans basically have a pretty hip rep anyway, especially paired with a pair of straight leg jeans. It's a total skateboarder look that my 6 year old loves. Adorable look, well-made shoe.
