So it is November and pouring down rain here in Seattle and I just got my Tretorn Stralas. All I can say is "thank goodness!" Mud, rain and cold are no match for these snappy, funky boots. Many compliments from strangers and co-workers alike. They will make stellar beach combing shoes and make the commute a lot more toasty.

I like these boots a lot. I have wide calves and they fit well, which was my main draw. They look true to the photos. They have a soft lining, so they are comfortable even without socks. The only issue I have is that I can't drive in them for any distance because they don't let me bend my ankles easily, a small sacrifice.

5 Stars: These are sturdy, water proof, fit snug and have a woolen insert for more warmth. They are the perfect boot to wear in the spring/fall rainy season.

These are very comfy, and I like that the foot part of the boot is somewhat snug, makes it easier to walk; you don't feel like you're clomping around. Haven't worn them in serious cold yet, but we're taking them to rainy Portland with us over Thanksgiving (my 7-year-old got a pair, too). Not sure how anyone could say these run big. I am a size 7 in just about every shoe and the 38s are almost too small. With thick socks they would be too small. I chose the green, but will be exchanging them for a different color. I feel this color makes me look like I work on a farm or something. Wish that this style came in the same colors as the regular Skerry (http://www.zappos.com/tretorn-skerry-black-ivy). I want red and shiny!

These are great rain boots! I've put them to the test already, and my feet have remained warm and dry. I think they'll be okay in snow, too; the lining is pretty thick. They fit a bit big, you may want to order down a size.

Love these rainboots! Bought them in navy to match a raincoat I had ordered. They're well made, comfortable and much, much lighter than other rainboots I've worn before. They're also terribly cute with a pair of jeans. The rubber is heavy duty enough to ensure they won't crack (as I've had happen before) but is light enough that I don't get fatigued wearing them all day (as I've also had happen before). These boots are adorable and practical.

Love these! These boots make walking in the rain fun! Puddles, here I come. Mine are yellow (not shiny) and are definitely brightly colored. There isn't much support inside, but they are still comfortable. I wear a 7.5 and ordered a 38 which fits perfectly.

Tretorn's Scandinavian-design wet-weather boots are perfect! I shudder to think I almost paid $350 for wellies, when all along these exceptional (and inexpensive) boots were waiting for me at Zappos.com. They are not only practical, but comfortable and understatedly stylish. Most importantly, they keep your feet dry. The icing on the cake: Zappos expressed them to me as a bonus. Thank you Zappos!

I bought this boot because of the color, purple, the fur lining, and to keep me motivated to keep walking outdoors even when the Pacific NW weather is not so nice. I gave them the ultimate test and went for a 2 hour walk in rainy, slippery conditions and they passed beautifully! The soles grip better than my Merrell mocs! My husband is amazed that I prefer to wear them for extended walks, over my other "walking shoes". My 24 year old daughter also loves them, and recently took them with her on her trip to Denmark. So, I immediately ordered myself another pair. As soon as they were delivered, I put them on and was out the door for a walk! The fit is snug, especially across the top of my foot. It doesn't bother me. In fact, it makes me feel more secure in my walking. I can wear them with or without socks, and either have my pants on the outside or tucked in to the top of the boots.

I love these rain boots! I got them in silver and they are super cute. I get so many compliments when I wear them! I have no problems with comfort and the size I picked was perfect. I got a 38 and I am a size 7. I also like the fact that they are calf length so they are not big and bulky. The lining is nice and soft and keeps your feet warm. And the sole is nicely padded so I could wear them for awhile without my feet getting sore. Definitely worth the money!

I love these rain boots. There were so many colors to pick from, but I went with aubergine because I love purple. I have long toes and usually buy 8.5 to 9 in shoes. Since reviews implied shoe ran small I went with the 40 (9 to 9.5) and it was perfect for me. Once I felt the fuzzy lining I knew I was keeping them. I had no problems with my calves fitting, and I bike ride daily. I was able to comfortably tuck my pants into my boots and wear them all day long with no problems.

Great boots! These boots are perfect! They are not too tall and come to a great spot on my calf. They are definitely a size too small though. I'm normally a 7.5 or 8 so I got the 38s, but had to exchange them for 39. Glad I did! Very warm!

The shoes are warm and with a tight (but not too tight) fit. Unfortunately, they are not built with large calves in mind. If they were a little shorter or had a slightly larger opening, I could wear them, but as-is, they are too tight at the top to wear comfortably, much less stuff my pants in them. You might get by if you have large feet or skinny legs.

I was very excited to wear my new Tretorn strala when it arrived, but I had to wait for a rainy day.\r\nIt\'s a bit of a struggle to get it on without a shoe horn, but once my feet was inside they felt great, warm and comfortable.\r\nWalking is a breeze, I felt as though I was walking barefeet, I moved a little faster.\r\nHowever the most important test for me was slipping. I felt very secure walking on wet surfaces, especially going down subway stairs. Maybe I\'ll even wear it on light snow days in the winter.

Best rain boots ever. I've loved Tretorn for their tennis shoes forever. They also deliver great results with these boots. I am petite and was worried that they would be too big/overwhelming for me. But they fit just right both size-wise and around my calf.

These are exactly what I was looking for: soft, supple material, wide enough to tuck in pants, roomy enough for a warm sock in cold weather. I use these to walk the dog and for bus duty at the end of the day at school. Nothing better than dry, toasty feet!

I love these boots! They fit perfectly and are very comfortable, considering I have to do a lot of walking in them. The lining makes my feet very warm. They look very cute, too! It can be quite difficult to take off the boots; however, and I don't mean just because you love them, but it's a little physically difficult.

As a rule, rain boots are ugly. They're rubber; they're pure utility; the only reason to wear them is, it's raining and you don't want to ruin your other shoes, or get your feet wet. So these boots are a really refreshing challenge to that rule. They look good, they have style, and they keep your feet dry even when it's raining cats and dogs. The first day I wore them to the office (an ad agency), I got a ton of positive words, several "where did you get those," and one "I'm getting those for my husband." They do have the drawbacks of an all-rubber shoe: they don't breathe, and they won't reshape themselves to your feet. But they are comfortable, and I recommend them highly.

About Tretorn

Founded by Henry Dunker at the end of the 19th century in Sweden, Tretorn was an innovator in footwear from the moment it was launched. Having built up a reputation for dependability and discreet luxury with its iconic rubber boots, Tretorn was also the first company to launch the pressureless tennis ball.

The company's association with life on and off court rapidly created something of a cult following surrounding the brand, a status which was firmly secured when Wimbledon winners took to the grass in Tretorn in the 1970s. Inspired by the high profile and success of the brand, Tretorn's canvas and leather Nylites were the only shoe in which to be seen wearing on North American campuses throughout the 1980s. Lean and understated, the Tretorn sneaker was the first luxury sports shoe on the market.

Tretorn’s expertise in rubber-made products demonstrates a consistent commitment to quality and brand over hype, offering a collection most appreciated by those with a practical sensibility and a lifestyle largely enjoyed outside. Because Tretorn celebrates a lifestyle, largely lived outside, Tretorn ensures that labor is not exploited and the production methods are continuously revised for the good of the consumers and the environment. This commitment to sustainability and safe products is embodied in their PVC-Free policy for all of Tretorn men's shoes and Tretorn women's shoes. It is a business practice for which Tretorn is widely recognized as industry leaders.
