Love these boots! Really comfortable! I got a size 9 though, and wish I had gotten the 8 1/2. These do stretch out a little, and quickly, so I would order your true size on the smaller end. I usually wear between 8 and 9 depending on shoe.

Great boots, great price, incredible service. I tried some Luccheses, but just could not get a good fit. Thankfully Zappos both way shipping is free. I finally found the Lamas fit me better; this is a great boot for someone wanting a conservative, nice looking boot to wear in a professional or casual or church (yes, I think Jesus is okay with me wearing boots to church) setting. They are lightweight, do not scuff and feel great even after long days on the road. I live in the boot mecca (Nashville) yet have no time for driving around looking for boots. Zappos is the only way to go.

Comfortable shoe. Great fit. Love the pointy toe. I get compliments on the shoe. This is the only kind of shoes I wear. Please make more in different colors, black!

I agree. These are great boots, but they do run big. I normally wear an 8, so I ordered and 8 and a 7.5 and still I slip. I want to try the 7, but sadly they are out. Feels like it fits the rest of my foot like a glove and would be really comfortable if my heel wasn't slipping.

A beautiful boot that is worth every penny. The Vaquera boot is comfortable right out of the box, stylish looking with every casual outfit. Standing all day is no problem in this boot because it gives good support. It fits best on medium width feet and is true to size. You will get compliments when you wear these.

Love these boots! What's not to love? Fit perfect to size first time I tried them on, no breaking in period either. Very comfortable, nice heel height. Leather grain is really nice and the added sparkle to the shaft is so cool. Now let's see, what can I do with a little extra added luck like the boot says? What can be better than a lucky horseshoe on your boots? Think of the possibilities! I think I will probably end up getting these same boots in different colors! Just looks good with almost anything, too. Very pleased. I recommend these highly.

No better pair of cowboy boots out there. These shoes are amazing! I took these out for a little boot scoutin' at a country bar the first time I wore them, and they remained comfortable through the entire night. The craftsmanship of these boots (I got them in brown) is impressive, you just don't typically see such well made shoes in the mall!

Hi. These boots are gorgeous, however the sizing is huge. I ordered 6.5 and they felt like a 9. I am not certain if anyone else has encountered such sizing with these boots but that was my take on the pair I purchased.

Got mine today and even though I generally wear a 2AA (narrow) width, the medium fits perfectly. I'm so excited as I generally can't wear mules because of my narrow feet. I generally wear a 9, but the 8.5 is perfect.

If Goat didn't grow, I'd return these - Great boots, not a bargain bin price; if they didn't look and feel well made and like dress boots, I might send them back. Goat is very durable and stretches to fit, they also really cling. I have not had a pair of boots in a long time that developed a vacuum seal, and after about an hour I am still breaking these in. My black Tony Lamas were a full size bigger and fit great, these are a half size and feel snug, but not painful. For a natural or plain finish, they come across as fancy or monied casual. I like them.

I ordered the C width and found these boots very comfortable for my wide-ish feet. They are like a lug-sole work boot with a western look. The boot is more rigid than a typical "cowboy" style boot. I plan to wear them riding.

First time for everything...Bought these for my girl...never bought a pair of shoes for her before but with the liberal return policy and satisfaction guarantee I'd figured why not! She absolutely loves them!! I mistakenly bought her a size 9.5 instead of size 9...but they fit perfect so they might run a little small.

I’ve owned these boots for a couple of years and am very pleased. I’m between an 8.5 and 9 and find that the 9 fits well, so I’m perplexed by the advice to go down a half-size. However, I have a high instep, and on that front, the boots only barely accommodate me. The leather is beautiful, the style is terrific, and the fit is excellent. Some boots throw off the center of gravity or push your feet forward or are unbalanced enough to cause your foot to rotate. These are great for everyday wear and pose none of those problems. I chose them on the basis of their vintage style, believing they would look timeless, and I still think they do.

Brown Suede Mules - LOVE the shoes! They are super comfortable - I can wear them all day!! The only downside to these is that the brown wears off on the inside of my pants. Not a huge deal, but a little inconvenient.

Great jean shoe - I bought these shoes to wear with nice jeans. They are comfortable, have a pretty good arch, and look great. I think of them as slightly worn looking which is what I like. You have to have really long jeans to make them look just right, or they look really pointy.

Tony Lama Vaquera boots-tan thoroughbred - After reading previous reviews, I ordered boots in half a size smaller. Fit was perfect. Boots felt like I'd been wearing them for years. So comfortable right out of the box. The pictures on the website could not be more accurate. Really show the details just as they are when you are holding them in your hands. I have received many compliments on the boots and have referred several people to the Zappos website.

Missing my Pliner's - Loving my Lama's - Two years ago I became hooked on Donald Pliner western mules (a suedey leather cut out top, super pointy toe)... apparently not being made any longer... though you can still find an off color, not my size pair on the internet. Then I "discovered" the Lama. Perfect replacement for me... not as pointy as Pliner and I think better for spring and summer. Love the woven leather. Fit is great and they're new! What could be better except maybe a second pair of them. I wear a 9.5 or 10 and the smaller size fit fine.

About Tony Lama

Every pair of handcrafted Tony Lama boots celebrates the true buckaroo spirit of the American West. And it’s not easy to stitch that much attitude into a boot. The process takes more than 100 steps. Throw in today’s sophisticated comfort and durability technologies, and you’ve got the best of both worlds -- classic craftsmanship and advanced performance. No wonder Tony Lama is the most recognized Western boot brand in the world.

Of course, there wouldn’t be a Tony Lama if it weren’t for Tony Lama Sr.

Born to Italian immigrant parents in 1887, Tony Lama learned his first lessons in the boot industry at the early age of 11. An uncle apprenticed the boy to a shoemaker in Syracuse, New York where he learned the leather and boot trade. Realizing the importance of a good boot fit from his stint in the US Cavalry after the turn of the century, Tony Lama set out to make the best fitting, most comfortable boot possible. Tony Lama Boots was founded in 1911.

In the 1930s, Western wear stores began asking for his boots. To meet the growing demands, Tony Lama developed methods to produce greater quantities without sacrificing the key steps in hand crafting. In 1961, nearly 50 years after the first store opened, Tony Lama moved into larger quarters and began making 750 pairs of boots a day.

Tony Lama passed away in 1974, but his sons and daughters continued his tradition of quality and handcraftsmanship, making this a true American success story. The legacy created by the humble cobbler, a hard working entrepreneur with a fierce pride in his craft, lives on. The same commitment to quality is reflected in the corporation that bears Tony Lama's name today. All leather construction, a handcrafted fit, that’s the legacy of Tony Lama kept alive by a select group of bootmakers who have earned the right to be called craftsman.
