Thanks! We'll notify you as soon as we add new styles for The North Face.
In 1966, two hiking enthusiasts founded a small mountaineering retail store in the heart of San Francisco's North Beach. The company soon became known as The North Face, a retailer of high-performance climbing and backpacking equipment. (The name was selected because in the Northern Hemisphere, the north face of a mountain is generally the coldest, iciest and most formidable to climb.) In 1968, The North Face began designing and manufacturing its own brand of high-performance mountaineering apparel and equipment, and in the early 1980s, extreme skiwear was added to the product offering. By the end of the decade, The North Face became the only supplier in the United States to offer a comprehensive collection of high-performance outerwear, skiwear, sleeping bags, packs and tents.

Using all types of proprietary technology, TNF provides The North Face jackets, The North Face clothes, The North Face pants, The North Face bags and The North Face shoes with quality, durability, and above all else, functionality. Throughout the years, The North Face jacket and outerwear division has set the standard in the industry. With styles such as The North Face Denali jacket and vest, The North Face Apex Bionic jackets, and The North Face Nupste jackets, The North Face jackets proves time and time again that they are at the forefront of high-performance apparel.

Their dedication to footwear is no different. With the different categories of trail running, hiking, mountaineering, and most recently ultra running, The North Face shoes division continues to raise the bar for innovation and quality in their shoes. Using proven technology such as Gore-Tex® and Gore-Tex® XCR®, their insulated footwear can sustain use in low, sub-zero temperatures, and with the innovative Boa® technology, users can have a precise fit with the ability to adjust quickly and on the fly. All features that make The North Face shoes a leader in the technical footwear arena.

The North Face’s dedication to quality can also be seen in their gear and equipment. The North Face sleeping bags with a high fill of goose down for warmth and multiple lengths. The North Face daypacks and expedition packs such as the Recon and Jester that are rugged, durable, and can hold all you gear. The North Face tents that will withstand extreme temperatures on Everest and Mt. Rainier. If you have a desire to test the limits, The North Face equipment will help you on your adventure.

This is seriously the best vest you'll ever own. Bought it because at the beginning of the week it's crazy busy and the outside door gets left open so much from people going in and out. This vest is so warm, you'll be sweating before you get cold. Looks really sharp too (ordered the dark green and black one). It looks great over a hoodie, over casual shirts, even over nicer stuff you'd wear to the office (it would look really slick with khakis even). Runs a bit big (big on the inside, not big as in puffy) but this was a great buy. It's perfect for an outdoor person who likes going from work to a dayhike.

The Nuptse 2 vest for 2010, for men, is a big fail. Here is the reason why: 1) Vest has pockets all the way on the sides instead of having them a bit more to the middle area like last year's model (in fact the female Nuptse 2 vest has them the way it should be). This new 2010 design stinks. 2) No internal zipper pocket to stash your wallet, or keys, or other important items. But guess what? The female Nuptse 2 vest has one! 3) The collar clashes with the bottom of your chin and is so uncomfortable. Why can't they put snap buttons to clip it down? Needless to say, this year the Nuptse Vest does not bring in much value. Maybe next year North Face will get it right?

Was a bit disappointed with the newest Nuptse 2 jacket. Seems The North Face is consciously cutting back (getting cheap) on minor details that set them apart. For instance, no interior pocket on this vest. Really? In this day and age of mobile phones, mp3 players, etc? Also, the pockets are inconveniently moved to the sides instead of in front. Minor, but like I said... it's the little things that separate the good from the great.

As others have mentioned they run a little large. I always wear XL and that's what I ordered. However it was too big and returned it to get Large. Fits perfect. Zappos was great to exchange it at no cost to me. Great Company! Great vest well worth the money.
