Taryn Rose Reviews
Teeny heel. Wide front. Cordovan brown. What can I say? If you are looking for a pair of sexy shoes to sizzle at work, do not buy these. If you want to run/walk miles to Century's and SoHo during lunch, without any pain or blisters, and look prim and professional back at the office, these Tara Rose shoes are yours for the money. Good to go right after I slipped these suckers on. Really comfy. My regular size.
This shoe is actually true to size - I measure a 9 1/2 but usually have to buy size 10 which I did for this shoe so it was half a size too big. I didn't order the smaller size, though, since the forefront of the shoe was tough on the ball of my foot which was odd since the heel is so low. And since I had ordered several styles and found another that fit well, I returned this. Was certainly wide enough (would not recommend for narrow feet) and no heel slippage or irritation from the higher back.
These shoes are really cute and I was excited to get them. However, the leather immediately started to tear in the front of the shoe, and about four weeks after I started wearing them, the heel broke. I was appalled that shoes this expensive would be so fragile, and I wish I had not made this purchase.
Buy a size larger. I haven't worn these shoes more than one day. Too tight. I should have returned them.
The shoe is mostly the same as one I had purchased in the store except that it is cut a bit bigger and a slight bit higher in the leather above the heel. But with a Dr. Scholl insert it will be fine.
It is hard to find navy shoes but these are perfect- perfect color, perfect fit,and perfect heel height. Due to the simplicity of the show you can wear it with a casual outfit or a dressy one.
These sandals are darling, but too narrow and probably can not be stretched as they are have fabric and patent leather straps.
Taryn Rose is back! These run true to size. They are extremely comfortable. There was no break in period...great right from the start. The patent leather and leather braided straps are a nice mix.
I really like these - a step up on regular flip flops, but the elasticized band does rub. Think it will take a bit of patience to really get these comfortable.
Despite the warning in the review, I had to see for myself as I just loved the appearance on the web. Fit is odd and my toes seem to get lost in the shoe. Totally bummed!
This shoes are very wide. I have two pairs of the same model and they are not this wide. They will fall off my feet.
I bought the Bryan 5 years ago and have worn them to death: I was surprised and pleased to see them available again and much cheaper than what I paid then. My original Bryans had a leather sole, the new Bryan has a rubber sole which makes them better for long term walking. I still had the old ones so I could compare them. My recent Bryans did not come in a box ( they were in a plastic bag, but did not have a mark on them, I guess Zappos did not have the original box. I have a bad hammer toe on each foot and awful bunions, these are a pleasure to slip on and feel amazing. I will eventually have my feet fixed but in the meantime, it's great to have shoes that fit and look good.
An extremely comfortable shoe right out of the box. I have a wide foot and the toe-box design is very accommodating, arch support is fine. I have very high arches and have not had a problem. There is a slight gap on the inside towards the back, only something I would notice. The design is adorable and my 26 year-old daughter and friends think so too. The tangerine color is nice, I've just ordered the bone.
This is a good looking sandal...But I have (almost) narrow feet and these sandals are on the wide side; so they look a little wide and large for me even w/my true size. If you have a wide foot these sandals would be comfortable with a good fit. Also-the style is best suited for a mature look. They are not the fun hip style - more practical and simple.
This shoe is lovely! Nice leather and style. I've always wanted to try a Taryn Rose shoe because of their reputation for quality and comfort. However, the medium width was too narrow for me and a Wide was not available. I am disappointed because a medium width has always worked for me in the past. I am returning them.
Alas, although I normally love Taryn Rose, these boots were not great for me. The good: they are adorable. The bad: They fit in the sense of being the right length and width (I'm a 9B), but they were cut so that any socks I wore would end up scrunched around my feet after I walked a few blocks. It was very mysterious and very constant. And VERY annoying. They wore out almost immediately. I live in NYC, so I walk a lot. My work shoes and boots usually survive for about a year - 18 months of regular use. But these boots have no extra protection on the front sole (for some reason, there is some protection in the middle of the sole only), so the toes got VERY scuffed immediately. Like, within 4 weeks I was paying money to get them repaired because they had become shredded-toe boots. The heels also got scuffed instantly. I noticed the scuffing the first time I walked to the corner bodega and back. They look OK after resoling, but no longer as great as they did out of the box. Again, very mysterious, as they are clearly of high-quality leather. Fortunately, I got these on sale, so I wasn't as upset as I would have been. But I wasn't happy.
Great looking shoe and comfortable, but a slight bit wide. However, I put in a Dr. Scholls and that seemed to do the trick. Not terribly supportive, but, again, the Dr. Scholls helped. Feels like a bedroom slipper but a lot cuter!
Really wanted these to work... Footbed is super comfy, but they seem much wider than M. Going a half size smaller would still not adjust the width.
Pulled these out of the box and instantly fell in love...until I tried them on. They are too narrow, they fit oddly, and your toes don't show in the "peep" part of the shoe. Sad to send these back.
These are cute but the shoes that were shipped to me were enormous. I ordered a size 6, and the shoes themselves are labeled with a 6, but I would say these are at least a size 8. I could tell before I even put them on my foot that they were way too big. What the heck? I will send these back and try again I guess...not sure whether to order the lowest size they make or to assume this is just a fluke and the shoes were printed with the wrong size. Humph. Stay tuned.
Bought this shoe 2 years ago and it was more expensive. It was by Taryn Rose but maybe it was under a different style name. I don't remember. It was so comfortable that I was sorry I hadn't ordered two pairs. Normally I wear a size 9, but in this shoe I wore a size 9 1/2. Was thrilled to see it back again, so I ordered a 91/2. This new version is much more true to size and I had to exchange for a size 9!
