Everyone loves the t-shirt; it’s the simplest and most versatile piece of clothing that you can wear.  Whether it’s a plain white tee or the best-looking Ed Hardy v-neck available, t-shirts can go with jeans, shorts, pants, vests, sweaters, skirts, heels, sneakers, or anything else you can imagine.  T-shirts can match your mood, match your style, or match your personality.  Who hasn’t picked out an ADIDAS retro tee because they remember wearing them as a kid, or throwing on that fresh L-R-G crew neck because they finally got the new kicks to match?

Function is just as necessary as form when it comes to the t-shirt.  Both short-sleeve and long-sleeve tees from Nike, PUMA, The North Face, and other similar brands are made to specifically keep you cool and dry while active.  New types of fabrics and technologies are constantly being developed in order to keep you comfortable in every type of activity. 

Who says a t-shirt can’t be a high point of fashion and creativity?  That short sleeve Alexander McQueen tee may be the perfect compliment to those 7 For All Mankind jeans or Diesel vest.  Or perhaps that FCUK v-neck is what’s missing on your outfit for Friday night.  Regardless, sometimes the best look is what makes you feel the best about yourself. 

Artistry, design, color, etc. can all be found, nurtured, and promoted on the simple canvas that is the t-shirt.  Political statements, lifestyles, favorite sports teams, and people in love: all these and more can and will continue to be put on display.  But what will the future bring for the tee?  Will we see new types of cotton used in manufacturing, or perhaps new artists will be discovered because of what they put on the front of our chests?  Who knows, but all we can tell you now is that we’re going to be heading into the future looking good and feeling comfortable.
