I absolutely love these boots! I can wear them all day and forget I even have them on. I love the fact that they are made for skinny jeans. I have small calves and most boots are simply too big in the calves.

After I got through hyperventilating at the cost, I love this boot BUT it took me several attempts and a discussion with an "in-the-fashion-industry" friend to figure out how to put these on and remove them. ("Instructions" to follow). The main problem (once I was able to get my foot into the boot) is that the inside of the (stiff) back heel area tends to not allow the foot to enter the shoe part of the boot without a struggle. (This is what a shoe horn accomplishes in a regular shoe). I do not know if continually doing this will break down that part of the boot or not. The first time I wore these, my husband had to remove them for me. No way could I accomplish it. How to insert and remove foot: I learned to fold the boot down before trying to insert or remove my foot. This definitely helps. (Previously, I had to lay on the bed/floor whatever and trying to get my foot in the boot created stomach cramps...no kidding. But then my pilates/yoga experience kicked in and I realized by holding in my stomach I didn't experience as much struggle or "pain"!). Having worn them 3 times now, things are a bit easier. Snug (but not tight) fitting in the rest of the leg, the ankle area was definitely looser. Great looking boot and one that my husband actually commented positively on (before he had to remove them). Amazing since he seldom notices "new" ("but they've been in my closet for years") items of apparel.

It is hard to find boots that you can walk miles in that also look stylish. Well, these are it! I lusted over these for a very long time because I live in perpetual summer and the only chance I get to wear tall boots are when I travel. I finally bit the bullet and bought them and took them on a trip to Tokyo. I wore them on the flight and the whole time I was there. I brought another pair of shoes but I did not wear them at all. They looked great with jeggings, worn with mini skirts or knee length skirts. My only complaint is that they do tend to sag a little. I am 5'4" so the back of the elastic hits right where my knees bend. It is not uncomfortable but when I walk it tends to push the boots down, causing them to bunch up at the ankles. They still look great though, and I cannot wait to wear them again

Just do it! Like many other reviews, the main problem I had was justifying the price for a boot that was only 50% leather. However, the minute I opened the box, the price became irrelevant. The boot is beautiful, unique and the quality unsurpassed. I wear a size 11, have an average to slim sized calf and found the boot very easy to slip on and aside from the Lyra being a little snug (like wearing support hose I would imagine), the fit is very nice and true to size. However, I did notice that the boot does sag a little, which in my opinion takes nothing away from the overall look and because of the 50/50 component, is to be expected. So with that said I highly recommend this boot. Yippee!

For tall gals with long narrow feet. I'm 5'11" with very narrow size 11 feet with ultra narrow heels and vertically thin feet as well (little fat or muscle). Sizing runs big, as a 10.5 with thick boot socks and an insert makes them fit perfectly for me. I bought mine at Russell & Bromley on Brompton Rd. in London near Harrod's. Salesclerk told me it came in only one width, but it ran narrow so I gave it a try. The box says 50-50 Black Nappa Stretch #371142 Amer 105 which means American size 10.5, but there is no width printed. Most stores now say boots only come in one width, so I was surprised to see that Zappos has N, M and W available. Makes me wonder how the manufacturer supplies boots to different countries with different width sizing. Would love to hear from others how their boot box labeled the width and how it fit. In fact, I wish Zappos would require us to report the exact size & width purchased to be included with our reviews, so we can gain even better perspective on fit. The stretch material on the boot is very very stretchy and clingy to the calf. I have neither thin nor wide calves and the fit is snug. Definitely for tights or true "skinny jeans" or narrow jeans with stirrups. With jeans that fit narrow along the calves (but not truly skinny jeans), the jeans bunch up above the boots, because the elastic fit pushes the pants leg up. This boot definitely requires work to put on, since it doesn't have a side zipper. With time it gets easier to put on, but it is still work. Without putting on nylon knee-highs over my boot socks, I would not be able to get my foot into them. You must sit down, fold the sides of the boot down over itself, push your foot forward as you push your foot down as you pull up on the folded sides of the leather. It isn't hard for me to pull the boot off since my heels are narrow. If you have arthritis or very weak fingers, don't buy! Would be curious for owners to report back a 2nd time with an updated review on how the thin soft leather and stretch material holds up over time, as I see on reviews that some other boots (Michael Kors) don't hold up and peel after one month's wear. These boots are so stylish, made so well with rubber soles and are so comfortable that all this work to put on and to find the right sizing is worth the price being that tall large size narrow boots are a rare find. My feet hurt in nearly everything, and I'm able to wear these all day walking the malls feeling great and knowing I look great too. There is nothing else on the market with this construction, that fits your calves snugly, support your arches and that will never go out of style. I am so very glad that I found them. At this price, I expect them to last me the rest of my life though! So I won't need to buy another pair except for bad weather as I won't want salt and grit to mar them! Definitely spray them with a protection spray such as Woly Protector 3x3 for leather and textile to protect your investment.

I have huge calves and was worried this was only for thin calves. These fit great snug but I think they are snug on everyone. I can fit over skinny jeans and leggings. The leather is so nice. I have been on the fence about these for a while and finally gave in. So worth it. Only problem is the back I, wish it had a little more leather on it. But if you have thicker calves and looking, get these.

I adore these boots. I have unusually large calves because I am muscular and short and I can actually fit my calves into these thanks to the stretchy back! The leather is deliciously soft and the boots are the most comfortable pair I own. All this, and then there's the added bonus of them being gorgeous! I get complimented on them every time I wear them!

I love the boot its very stylist and comfortable I have one problem the back of the boot ripped after 3yrs of wear only in the winter months its ripped right wear the back of the boot where the ankle part is the part where u would use a shoe horn. I feel like 595 is a lot of money to pay for this to happen is their a return policy or warranty for this issue?

These boots are worth the money! Beautiful leather, very comfortable and true to size. They fit smaller calves but have stretch in the back to accommodate any size. The knee height is perfect...no gaping. Zappos is great and at this price no tax was worth it!

These boots run true to size and they feel amazing on. The back elastic allows for a nice comfortable fit. They are a little challenge to get off, but a small price to pay for what I think are my new favorite boots

The best boots ever! Fits perfectly, even with small legs. I always wear a 7.5 in SW pumps, but after reading the reviews, ordered a 7 - spot on! Very comfortable. Durable. Dressy yet works well w/ jeans. Thanks for all of the reviews. It solidified my decision to drop the money and finally buy them.

I bought these boots as a Christmas present to myself, and they are simply beautiful. I have an extremely thin calf, but these boots fit my leg very well - it's like wearing gloves for your legs. Definitely worth the money.

I am in LOVE!! I'm not tall, but these boots are slimming and look FANTASTIC on. Yes, they're hard to get off, but who cares? I usually wear a 7½ but took people's advice and ordered a size 7, which fit perfectly!!! Worth every penny!!
