These are really cute and my son loves the tail! The soles are a bit thick and squishy, so they are probably comfy but I see that he sometimes struggles a bit in them if he\'s on stairs. Still, super-cute.

These boots are great! They are rugged and durable. The wide width was perfect, hence they are easy to put on and off. They run true to size. I would highly recommend them.

Good buy. Got this for my 10 year old son. Shoe is comfortable and looks great. Only problem is shoe is very wide and has too much ceiling space in the toe area. Had to re-order for a smaller size. This is a great shoe for kids who have wide or chubby feet (like my daughter).

Great shoes. My son is impossible when it comes to shoe shopping. These are terrific. We're on our 4th pair and always wind up back to these after he tries on a dozen other shoes. They're comfortable (not too high cut in the ankle) and he runs like the wind. We buy one in brown for dress up and one in blue for everyday. Highly recommend.

The Stride Rite Nicolette style is the cutest wide shoe I have found. I have bought them for my daughter three years in a row in multiple colors. They are great for school, play and dressy occasions!

Comfortable shoe that is easy to put on and take off. Sturdy sole that doesn't slip or slide. Wide width available and actually wide enough for hard to fit feet. We have both the lace-up and velcro closure styles. Great shoe for the price.

Love these boots. We had the same pair last year. Warm and easy on and off. My 2 years old loves them so much she is already wearing them around the house for fun. Looking forward to the cold and snow.

I bought these shoes for my 3 1/2 year-old daughter and she loves them. The minute they arrived she put them on and didn't want to take them off. I like the brown patent leather color as a nice change from black, as I think they look equally great with both dresses and jeans. I also like that the insoles are very cushioned and I love the velcro strap so my daughter can put the shoes on and take them off by herself. Ordering from Zappos is great; products come quickly and returning/exchanging is a breeze with free shipping on the returns.

What more can I say?! The shoes are a great hit with my three year old. She loves stomping around looking for the lights to flash. I used the sizing table to figure out her correct shoe size and I have to say, they're a perfect fit. The next pair of shoes for the whole family will be bought through Zappos.com. You are a true life saver for those with little time to shop.

When these shoes arrived I was thrilled! Good looking dress shoe, but built like an athletic shoe for running jumping and playing on the playground. I liked the idea I could polish them and they would hold up much longer than the "mart" shoes. Boy, was I wrong! Purchased at the beginning of the school year and I'm already replacing them. Leather is too thin and my daughter has put a hole in the toe already. Not at all durable enough for an everyday shoe. I'm very disappointed in this shoe.

I really like these shoes and they are true to size. Rugged enough for an 8 year old boy, but not too overly bulky and heavy. They go great with his school uniform and offer much support in the heel area, which is why I specially bought these shoes, my son previously cracked his heel and the podiatrist recommended a solid, steady shoe that would help keep his foot in place (especially in the heel area). Some shoes are too soft, these aren't. Also, no need to worry about shoes coming untied.

There's no doubt this is a really cute shoe. However, it isn't that comfortable. The sole is a really thick unbending construction. We expected something better for the foot from Stride Rite. If we'd opted for a sneaker, we would have gone with the Tsukihoshi instead, as those are so lightweight and flexible, but we ended up preferring a Naturino mary jane which was quite flexible and very pretty.

T-Strap not good for a "puffy" top of foot. The wide width itself isn't really as wide as say, Jumping Jacks.

My 7-year old son loves these shoes. He likes the wide size and Stride Rite has the best selection of this width. He wears these every day for every type of play. He usually outgrows them before they wear out. He likes them tight, so it would be nice if they extended the velcro strip on the sides. And we love the speedy delivery from Zappos!

We love the color and the overall fit. The sole is good too, sturdy but pliable for a young foot. However, I don't like the overall design. Instead of the two sides of the shoe meeting overtop the tongue of the shoe and then the straps fastening over that, only the tongue and straps fasten over the top of the foot. In my opinion, this is not enough support for a young foot. Additionally, if one of the straps is not fastened completely, the shoe can come partially or completely off, causing a child to trip. This design is also problematic in that when the child attempts to put the shoe on, she first has to stuff the tongue into the sides of the shoe and then fasten the straps over, which is hard to do and therefore doesn't always happen (the point of buying velcro fasteners is to give kids some independence). If the tongue is not stuffed in, the straps don't fasten, leading to the situation described above. I wish there were better options for velcro closed athletic-type shoes, but New Balance and Stride Rite both use this design.

I bought these shoes for my three year old grandson. My daughter and he love them. It's a good color to go with khakis or jeans. They were shipped very quickly. I will do business with Zappos in the future.
