Son loves these shoes. I cannot attest to their durability yet but the styling is perfect and the stomp-powered lights a hit with my 4.5 year old. Nice that it came in wide for my boy's big feet. I've never been disappointed with Stride Rite so I'm confident they'll hold up.

These shoes are durable and lightweight. My kids have been wearing Stride Rite since their first pair of shoes. The best shoes for kids!

My son has only had these shoes for about a week, but he told me to "make sure I put all the stars" on the review. He absolutely loves these shoes. He said they are so comfortable and soft inside and he likes the way they look. Since it's only been about a week, I can't say how they will hold up but they do look well made.

What can I say? They're great. 5 stars all around. Easy for the kids to put on, well made, and super cute. Get them. Stride Rite never disappoints. Run true to size.

This shoe was about 3/4 inch longer and 1/4 inch narrower than another stride rite sneaker that I ordered in the same size. Not sure which one is "true to size" but I kept the other one. Wish I could add a picture.

These shoes look adorable in person! They are supportive and comfortable to my sweet 16 month old son. I love the color, too! It will go with almost anything!

When my 3.5 year old saw this, he wanted them immediately. When the arrived (fast!), he refused to take them off. I think they are a little big on him, just by the nature of having gone up a size, but there is no way they will be exchanged (or pried off his feet). They look great and they are stride right, so i think they will serve us well.

Great shoe! My 6 year old son says they are comfortable and easy to put on. He normally wears a size 12, but they ran small, so I had to exchange for a size 13.

Best shoes ever. These are flexible and easily bend with her little feet. I won't buy her stiff shoes. These allow her feet to flex and bend easily so she can walk properly. Cute too.

These were hilariously bad on my son. Cute and they looked like they'd be comfortable, but the fit was so poor that I couldn't even assess. He has wide feet and high arches. The shoes were at least a full size too big, but he could barely squeeze his foot into the opening, even with my help. I understand that elastic is easier than laces, but I don't understand why we had to sacrifice a customizable fit in order to do the elastic.

Great arch support would have to be the highlite of these shoes. Sure they are not the most stylish shoes but at least my 8 year old son knows that style is not the most important thing. What is important is that it is a good shoe that is going to help him to not pronate as much. The shoe does run a little big as far as the length goes so he won't be able to wear them quite yet. I am going to hold on to them though because kids grow like weeds and it is only a short matter of time until he will be able to wear them. Over all, I'm impressed with the shoe.

My toddler is so lucky! He inherited my high arch and my husband's wide foot, making his feet look like little chubby bricks. We ordered a bunch of shoes and these were the only ones that fit and could be secured with the strap. He loves to run and says they make him fast. The construction seems quality and the style is so cute. We love them.

I love these boots for my 5 year old. However, the shaft is too tall and came right up to her knee which I didn't like since I prefer a boot that sits around mid-calf. The boot seems to be very well made and looks great just wish the shaft was mid-calf and not knee high.

My son has wide feet and high instep. He loves this pair of shoes. The first time he put them on, he wouldn't take them off and seemed so happy with them with stepping and walking around. Even now in summer, sometime he asks to wear them instead of his other summer shoes (bare foot of course).

These boots are beautiful. The width is great for my little girl's super wide feet. They look like good adult boots, just smaller.

Bought for my nearly 3 year old who is large for his age and an avid runner and bicyclist. Along with these we tried two other pair of shoes from Saucony, the brand he had been using before. Assessment of each shoe below: Stride Rite Propel 2: This is a pretty flexible shoe, feels solid, seems to have good cushion when pushing into it. Wide width seems pretty good for my son who has slightly chunky feet. They seem well-made and feel like they will last. We are keeping this shoe out of the three we tried on. Saucony Ride: This pair may have had a defect, it had my son running with one foot slightly turned in. I still feel I can review the shoe pretty well as my son had the Baby Ride 7 before this and they see exactly the same. The shoe is extremely lightweight, lighter than the Stride Rite Propel 2. The sole is very low profile, unlike the Stride Rite which stick out a bit for stability. The sole is made of a slightly cheaper feeling material, lighter weight though. Longevity of the sole is poor I can say, but that didn't bother us too much. The color on the sole is painted on so comes off very fast. They are very breathable. I would recommend these over the Stride Rite Propel 2 for kids that are under 30 months old because they are lighter weight. Probably better the Stride Rite after this as kids get much tougher on shoes so these probably wouldn't last two months or three max anyhow for a three year old. Saucony Zealot: Didn't see any benefit over the Baby Ride. Not as flexible again as the Stride Rite in the sole. Pretty much the same shoe as the Baby Ride except slightly less breathable. Overall I rank the shoes for a 3 year old: Propel > Ride > Zealot. For a kid around age 2 or less I'd say Ride > Zealot > Propel. Cheers!

The 8 XW shoe is wider than the regular width shoe. But the toe box is not flexible at all and makes putting the wide foot into the shoe especially difficult - even with adult assistance. Returned to Zappos.

Excellent Customer Service! It took only 1 day for my order to arrive, size 3.5. Perfect shoes-but half a size too big for my daughter. I contacted customer service via live help. Nichole took my inquiry; she helped me make a return label and in 2 days, I got the correct size. I also got a confirmation that the shoes I returned have been received. Customer service at its finest.

This boot was too tall for my petite 5 year old. In her size, which is actually small for her age (a 9), the shaft of the boot came past the bend in her knee, making it impossible for her to walk comfortably. The shaft was also VERY wide. I can only see these working on a toddler a little tall for her age, and going over pants on a wider leg. The design was so cute, thought, and the material appeared durable.
