Steven Reviews
I love the look of these - but they rubbed the back and sides of my ankle badly. I've found this is a constant issue with Steve Madden shoes - the leather is so hard - it's easier to break in a boot - but not bare feet in a sandal. They were sadly sent back.
I love these sandals so much! They are cute and sexy. They look very nice and are comfortable. I love ankle straps - so it's just what I wanted for the summer that would go with any outfit.
I bought this shoe because I am not a huge fan of Toms...although I do own a pair. I almost always wear an 8. And especially in SM shoes. But I had to reorder a half size down. They are pretty long. I ordered the gray. It looks so cute with denim and whites (and all colors). I think I need Zappos Anonymous...I am addicted to Zappos!
I wish I had read the reviews below before I ordered these shoes. They also came with the black smudges on them, I assumed they were someone's returns since I bought the last pair. I don't want dingy marks on my shoes so they are going back. Too bad, I really liked the style and look of them.
My new favorite shoe. I fractured my foot years ago and have a hard time wearing any type of higher 'heel'. I decided to try these out and they are so comfortable. They gave me a little lift but grounded enough so that my foot felt supported. Ankle strap fit well, not too snug. Ordered my true size and they fit just perfect. And the style is delicious. My friends poked fun at me because I kept staring at my feet and smiling. Just a lovely little bit of bling to add to your feet!
Incredibly comfortable, but after 1 wearing, for only a couple of hours walking around town, two of the studs came off and I had to have them professionally reset at a shoe repair place. Also, because I didn't discover the loss of the second stud until I had turned in the sandal to reinsert the first lost stud, I incurred a second repair charge from the shoe repair, so these shoes have cost me an additional $11.50 (!!) just to have 2 studs put back. It's not something you can do yourself because of the way the studs are made (soft prongs). So, buyer beware. Very comfy -- but very cheaply made -- and the shoes are pricy. If they were only $30, I could live with it, but not for approx $180, and now approaching $200 with the repairs.
I was so excited to get these in the mail and wear them but they broke the first day! The thong part came out and a couple of the beads broke off and I couldn't wear them for more than 2 hours without my feet hurting because or the lack of support. Returning immediately, so disappointed!
I am obsessed with these shoes! The leather is so soft they are like putting on slippers. The heel height is perfect. I wore them all day yesterday and today trekking up and down hills in San Francisco and my feet feel great. My favorite new shoes of the season.
These shoes are so cute! I was about to drop $425 on some Jimmy Choos that look almost exactly like these when I saw these. Saved a lot! They are a 1/2 size large. I normally wear an 8 and I wear a 7.5 perfectly in these. Love!
I am disappointed to find that these shoes are flimsy and very cheaply made. Definitely not worth the price tag. There is bad toe cleavage, too. Needless to say, I am sending them back.
These flats have a beautiful rounded toe and great suede material. Very fine suede. They are delicate looking and fit true to size. I also like the toe coverage, my toes are just barely covered so you cannot see them. They are very flat though, no support, but that's to be expected from "flats." I think they're gorgeous and keeping them!
Love the look of these shoes... and love how they look on. Unfortunately, the sizing is wonky. I'm a standard size 9 and these were way too big. Exchanged for an 8.5 and those are also too big, but I wore them anyway and now clop around like a little girl in her mom's shoes... lesson learned! Anyway, gorgeous shoe, but sizing is an issue.
When I opened the box, I thought someone had worn these sandals and they were a mess. I called and was told they are made that way - sort of like a "vintage look". If you look very closely at the pictures, you can see it - on the heels. They look like dark shadows. They look worn. I was going to send them right back and write this review. However, after trying them on I decided I liked them so much I was going to keep them anyway, and I did. They are very comfortable and attractive. I got many compliments when I wore them, but I felt the need to explain they came marked up, sort of like the jeans you buy with the holes in them. So, they are great shoes, but be aware they don't look brand new in some areas.
I ordered this shoe in the coral color and the picture displayed is a pretty accurate coloring. It's not a hot pink but its not a super bright coral. I think the suede material makes it easier to wear with a lot of different style clothing. I did however have to return the size 8 and reorder 8.5 - which usually only happens with much more expensive brands. The heel area seemed ok although snug but the toe area was unbearable and I didn't think it would stretch enough. Fingers crossed the 8.5 fits perfectly in both spots.
These are beautiful shoes, but they are going back. I wore them around the house for five minutes, and during that time they rubbed both of my big toes raw and left a trail of glitter wherever I went. Which is kind of cool in a, "Look I am wearing fairy shoes," sort of way, but definitely not worth the price.
I absolutely adore the look of this sandal, it's great in person. I have many Steve Madden shoes, all size 9.5, and I had such trouble getting into these sandals (from the top). After pointing and straining, I had to push so far forward to close the zipper in back and then the toe thong hurt before I even walked a step. When my foot was in, I could tell the actual shoe size was right (not too small). I don't have wide feet or ankles. Sizing up would make the sandals too big on my foot - the top section and the placement of the toe thong (too close) is the problem. So very sad to return them.
Gorgeous shoe, not really cream or white though. Seems like it will pick up whatever color is around it. I asked my boyfriend what color he thought they were without telling him what they were supposed to be...he said "very light mauve"! I was standing on beige tile in natural light. I'm sure under bright light with white background the pictured color would be accurate. Bottom line is if you're looking for a white shoe, this isn't it. It is beautiful though and I will be keeping it.
Runs small. Cute, but not very comfy. If I had it to do again I would invest in a more expensive, better made pair.
