A great all around casual shoe. They're really flexible and have good, cushiony support. The sole is rubbery so it's very soft on impact. I've gone long distances in the city and my feet just don't get fatigued. And best of all, I've gotten so many compliments. I just wish they didn't have a heel tab which can sometimes catch the hem of my pants when I am going up stairs causing them to bunch up, and that the laces weren't so excessively long. But I'm nitpicking. I recommend you order at least a half size smaller, they run a bit large. Super comfy and very stylish, get this shoe.

A great alternative to the classic Clarks Desert Boot; lighter and more comfortable. Shoes have great support and the sole is very rubbery and bouncy, giving you all the protection of long walks, something the Clarks Desert Boot has troubles with. The previous reviewer mentions that he couldn't get the correct fit, but that's because he was trying to measure how far his feet was from the end of the shoe. This shoe is very pointy and naturally there will be additional space given the fact that one's foot could not possibly conform to a thumb's distance to the edge. The key is figuring out the width spacing and what's most comfortable. I normally wear an 11, but in these shoes I wear a 10.5. The 10, like what the previous writer wrote, is too tight on the sides. Upon initial wear my heel sat a bit high, but after breaking in relaxed to a perfect fit.
I'd also recommend: Clarks Desert Boot

These shoes arrived and the leather was soft as could be. Arch support is excellent. They did feel about a half size too long, but they still were quite comfortable. My biggest complaint is that the shoelaces are inexplicably (and comically) long. It's like I'm walking around with mickey mouse ears on my feet.

I really like the style and feel of these boots, but they just don't fit right. I wear a size 11 regular in every shoe I own. When I ordered these in 11, they were way too long. Did some research and found that most people order Sperrys a half size smaller, so I exchanged for a 10.5. Still too long. Exchanged for a size 10...they were finally fitting lengthwise, but then they were way too narrow. My toes were pushed together and it just wasn't comfortable. Again, the boot looks awesome and I like the material, but after trying 3 different sizes I had to give up. I will try another brand. Thank goodness for Zappos’ free return shipping!

Just got these shoes today and I had to come write a review. I absolutely love these shoes. They are incredibly light and very well cushioned in the arch. I could not believe how comfortable they were from the very first time I tried them on. I bought my measured size and found the width and heal to fit perfectly. Comparing them to other size 11 shoes I own, the Sperry's are only .5 to 1 cm longer depending on the shoe. I don't find them to feel long, but be aware that the toes of the boots come to a slight point. I absolutely love the grey, I have been looking for a pair of distinctive grey shoes for awhile and could not be happier. The laces are long, but a simple solution is to tie a knot so that all the slack falls in the loops; then use the long loops to gently tie another knot thereby using a up all the slack (it doesn't have to be tight and I find that the laces become almost completely hidden beneath my pants). The quality of the leather upper is superb. It is not a suede, you can see the grain of the leather and the napp faces the interior of the shoe. In my opinion, this makes it a much more durable material. The upper is incredibly soft and comfortable, even when wearing the shoe barefoot without socks (though I generally plan to wear these with socks). One amazing feature, is that the leather is thinned or softened on the top area where the shoe bends (almost like suede, but you can still see the grain), thus the boot is very flexible and does not put pressure on the top of your foot when it bent as stiff shoes will tend to. This also gives this part of the shoes a matte appearance as opposed to the subtly glossier sides. Love the burnt orange rubber soles and am just all around super happy with this purchase.
